    The New Album - 2019!!

I read that Michael sampled the chant from Soul Makossa, a 1972 song by Cameroonian musician Manu Dibango, but sung it himself. rihanna used MJ's recording.

Confession era = inspired from Disco music era.+ inspired from exotic music era So this new era gonna be that awful Butt implant plastic surgery era which fans are trying hard to pretend we can't see that and trying hard to pretend it just doesn't exist + musically inspired from Disco music era+inspired from exotic music era That's what I'm trying to talking about. Hard candy era + Confession era.

From Barry Harris (Thunderpuss) official soundcloud page and shared by a member of the forum last month. As some people claimed all along those years CYSMM doesn't exist and was just a fake title foe "Die another day" : "Die Another Day" Thunderpuss Mix *The Back Story* Once again in 2002 we were invited by Caresse Henry (Madonna’s manager at the time) to her office to discuss remixing Madonna’s new song from the upcoming James Bond Movie. Caresse told us that the movie producers actually wanted her to do a ballad but she said no. We were told this song was called “Can’t You See My Mind” at the time to (keep everything secretive i suppose), were hand given the parts on C.D. and went to work at our studio. When i first heard the drums that my Tpuss partner had created i immediately saw Roxy NYC in my mind and how great this would sound there. When it was time to sink my teeth into it, i felt the mix should be very different from any mix we’d done before. It didn’t need new music composed. Let it be what it already is. There are lot’s of hooks in it already. I felt it should just take a lot of turns and twists and stay focused on how the mix would kick ass at Roxy. As the track was already very electroish, I thought it would also be cool if the kick digitally disintegrated at some point. When we felt it was done, we set up a return meeting with Caresse at Maverick Studios on Sunset Blvd. She played it in her office with us sitting there, listening and decided right then and there that she liked it therefore indicating there were no changes to be made. Done, let’s do this. In those days, there wasn’t really such a thing as a ‘spec mix’ yet and Thunderpuss never ever did do any spec mix. If a mix was scrapped (which happened rarely but yes, now and then it did e.g. N-Syncs “Bye, Bye Bye”) the record company usually put us on another project later on. I reconnected with Caresse & on FB messege when i first joined Facebook Fall of 2009. We had a few chats back and forth. I knew she had retired from the Madonna camp by then. She was very sweet & down to earth IMO. I was very saddened to hear that a few months later in 2010 she would take her own life. I just came across this today going through old Thunderpuss DATA Working Mix C.D.’s. I had totally forgotten i even made this. I did remember doing something with sampling Bohannon’s “Let’s Start The Dance” within this but honestly had not listen to this mix since i made it 2002 (16 years ago). For the Madonna fans & or Thunderpuss aficionados…this one’s for you!! Alternate DL link (.wav .mp3 .jpg) we.tl/t-DaGW990JEo

    "Like a Prayer" turns 30

One of Madonna's best albums and eras, the beginning of her Imperial era inbetween the 80s and the 90s. The next in line to get a remaster at this point. Will the stars align for us this time, and is there a possibility we'll get something more than an Instagram post? Fingers crossed, but until the time arrives, let's post our appreciation for this great album! I might cook up a deluxe tracklist later, for an ultimate edition of sorts. I used to hate doing that, but 30 years later, this album deserves it!

    The New Album - 2019!!

His music is super derivative of Disco. Most of it. Even his slower songs have disco elements in them. For Instance "Oloulou" from the YAS record. He's a GOD because of his ability to make music 3 dimensional. And give synths a personality. He also understands how to keep a listener interested with variation either through an instruments melody or tone or some sort of manipulation of the voice itself. Disco as in Nobody Knows Me disco..... not I Will Survive disco.

At the time, a psychotic Mirwais remix of Impressive Instant with filtered guitars and squelchy beats, and a funky remix from Les Rythmes Digitales wouldve been insane!

Trying to get into Madonna more...

Hearing her albums in order is the best experience, you get to see her grow as an artist and how every album is more profound than the last one. I'd watch the tours while listening to the albums or after listening to all of them. If you're not interested in that I'd tell you to jump straight into Confessions on a Dance Floor and the Confessions Tour.

    The New Album - 2019!!

I don't see why 'Nicki unfollows Madonna on Instagram is such a big deal. Madonna follows and unfollows people all the time and see how diiiiiiifferent things have turned for her . Let's admit it, every single song Nicki provided vocals made Madonna's sound better. Even when I myself am tired of rappers in her records, Nicki's contributions elevated the power of Madonna's messages in both I Don't Give A and Bitch I'm Madonna which don't specifically sound very smart by just considering their names

Why? I'm Breathless hasn't received updated vynil treatment recently. Remember there's an important percentage of vynil consumers nowadays who spend their money in items like these. I'm sure I'm Breathless will mean a nice addition in their collections.

Trying to get into Madonna more...

I've always loved Madonna because her work is so vast, so rich and diverse. You can never get enough of it! For starters, I'd suggest to play The Immaculate Collection first and discover how the first (and the best) decade in her career developed. Then listen to the album versions, recorded all the way from 1983 to 1989, of the songs included in the compilation and get startled by the way they originally sounded (instruments mostly). I say this because it reminds me of my childhood in the early 2000s when I used to compare the different versions of her classics and how timeless they had become by then. If you get the chance BUY the record on CD, do it and admire the beautiful shots made by talented Herb Ritts. Next, watch Truth or Dare or In Bed with Madonna as it was called out of the US. Be amazed by the wonderfully filmed footage from the Blond Ambition Tour! There's no better concert captured like that in her whole career, not even the equally great but overrated Confessions Tour. 1990 was the peak in Madonna's career and you will realise this because everything was perfectly executed. From her image to the music itself, photoshoots, magazine covers, interviews, etc. Then I'd delve into her Erotica years: watch the Justify My Love video and her marvelous response to all the censorship she had to face. There's a short interview on Nightline, I'm sure it's on Youtube and make your own conclusions about the topics she mentions and how hypocritical the conservative society still is. Having listened to the title track from Erotica, listen to key tracks from the album like Deeper and Deeper (but not the video because it's kind of boring), Fever (Edit One), and the gorgeous ballad Rain. Watch the video for Bad Girl which is probably a summary of her 2 erotic movies made at the time. If you feel like listening to something quieter, romantic or just sad and thoughtful, play the ballads compilation Something to Remember. It's basically a collection of songs recorded between 1984 and 1995, used mainly as a vehicle for her to sweetener her image at the time as she was preparing for Evita. Songs like You'll See and This Used to Be My Playground are not Céline Dion's or Whitney's standards but God, they sure are 90s treasures. In this same period she started to flirt with electronica and trip-hop. Hence the I Want You collaboration with Massive Attack. Ray of Light is a must for everybody who enjoys music. It's Madonna's more mature record to date, more spiritual and insightful than any other she's recorded. She had just given birth to her first child which changed her character in every thinkable sense. Watch the Drowned World Tour and observe how the ROL songs were performed live. Maybe this concert was purposely toned down because you can see she does not want to shock the audience just for the sake of it; in my opinion, from this concert onwards she shocks people with ideas that go further than the sexual innuendos from the early 90s. She became more politically aware since then. This is the time when Madonna started to play guitar on stage too so it's not strange to see a rocky section in every world tour that followed. That's it for now. Enjoy the Madonna experience and see why she's the best. And thank God she's still alive.

i'd just say listen to her studio albums, and watch each respective tour in order, like watch The Virgin Tour after listening to Like a Virgin, and then the Who's That Girl show after finishing True Blue, and so on...

Oh my gosh i love the song jimmy james sings of madonna's live to tell. jimmy doesn't dress up like her just sings like her. 2:19 Edited if you watch all of the video. Jimmy mentions politics and asks how many people are for Clinton and they all clap. Then before coming out to do sing madonna's song. he said i think there should be a woman for president. And he wants madonna. recorded 1992. i didn't know it was that old.
