  1. When it comes to The Immaculate Collection, it is hard to choose, but i would add Who's That Girl and Causing a Commotion (or Dress You Up). The Second Coming was a perfect title and a logical continuation to The Immaculate Collection. The 90s Madonna was all about quality and art. Some songs like Bedtime Story weren't hits, but they are so important. I think it would have been better if the compilation was released after American Pie during 2000. This Used to Be My Playground Erotica Deeper and Deeper Rain I'll Remember Secret Take a Bow Bedtime Story Human Nature You'll See Don't Cry for Me Argentina Frozen Ray of Light The Power of Good-Bye Beautiful Stranger American Pie New song The Immaculate was released in 1990 and if The Second Coming was released in 2000, then it would have made sense that the third compilation was released in 2010. I don't know about the title, but if it was a box set that included previous compilations, The Holy Trinity would make sense. Music Don't Tell me What It Feels Like For A Girl Die Another Day American Life Hollywood Hung Up Sorry Jump 4 Minutes Give It 2 Me New song
  2. I can't at people shading Cyndi. Who cares if she does milk that album. Madonna should do it too. Maybe Madonna doesn't need that money, but Madonna does need promo for her old stuff. Girls Just Want To Have Fun has more views on YT than any Madonna classic. I think She's So Unusual anniversary edition was cute with those stickers or whatever. More importantly, there were unreleased songs as bonus material. Cyndi did the right thing, Madonna didn't.
  3. At least Madonna and her team did something, but it wasn't anything special. Other artists did it better. Does anyone else watch Absolutely Fabulous? Current Madonna reminds me so much of Edina Monsoon. In one old episode, Edina was wearing some thing in her pants that was supposed to shape her ass. In one of the latest episodes, Edina tells Bubble, her assistant, to do everything to promote some French singer. Bubble's reply was "Should I just twitter it?". And she did just that. In Madonna's case, her team just made a Spotify list of existing songs. Even we could have done that. On a serious note, her team is going in the right direction, but they should try to do something amazing with her legacy (HQ videos on YT, DVD releases of her tours...).
  4. Agree. I don't get why some fans see this thread as negative. It is a fact that Madonna's latest videos didn't come close to her older videos. Madonna herself said videos weren't important anymore and her newer videos aren't art like classic ones. When it comes to great music videos, I think indie and alternative artists are the ones who deliver such. Even with low budget, they are able to deliver something artistic and beautiful. On the other hand, critics and media hype too much videos of commercial artists these days. They are simply overrated. And it all comes down to how many views they have on YT. It is funny that the worst and most basic videos have the most views, while something like Madonna's Vogue isn't there. Critics and general public make a big deal about basic videos. Ariana keeps delivering tacky videos with CGI or basic videos, while media acts like they are watching Express Yourself. The standards are so low, but nobody will admit that. Although Madonna didn't delivered artistic greatness like in the past, she is actually still good. GMAYL, GGW, LFL and Ghosttown shitted on videos by other commercial artists. Madonna delivered fun and humor with GMAYL, something that Katy tries to achieve, but fails with kitschy visuals, try-hard acting and production that reminds of cheap videos by almost unknown eurodance or whatever acts from the 2000s. Madonna being able to deliver sex appeal with GGW, something that Gaga didn't manage to do so far. Living For Love proved that Madonna still can be so interesting when her works get inspired by another culture and she pulled it off without being tacky. Even Ghosttown was closer to movie experience than all those tacky CGI videos overrated by critics.
  5. It isn't legendary at all. I mean, some people didn't even have time to come on the set. It was just a fun mess. That's all.
  6. You sound like Madonna while describing the shitty lyrics as ironic. Every time Madonna delivers bad lyrics, they are supposed to be ironic. Why can't it be good and ironic lyrics? It is just a lame excuse from Madonna or fans. The lyrics are cliche. A party song that could have been written by anyone. It doesn't even make sense. Madonna sings "we this, we that...", but then she claims "bitch, I'm Madonna". Why using "we" at all, if she is the one who is allowed to do what she wants? When it comes to music, Madonna isn't the first one who did that sound. There is something unique about it, but it sounds cheap and like a demo. It was a nice idea, but needed more tweaking and maybe better lyrics could have made it to be a better song. Sophie's weird beats made more sense on this song.
  7. Aside from OP, which shows some impact of BIM (not that Madonna is the first who did that sound), BIM didn't really have an impact. I don't get why fans keeping saying that. All RH singles flopped and just because one single got some attention doesn't make it huge. Let's not mix "popularity" on YT with impact. The truth is BIM would have tanked even harder, if Madonna didn't bring all those celebs to her video. General public only paid attention to BIM because of the video.
  8. Qualitative works can also be parodied, not just bad songs and videos.
  9. This is too easy. 20th century, of course. Three masterpieces: Like a Prayer, Erotica and Ray of Light. Artistic and brilliant music videos, most of the time. Even simple stuff like Lucky Star shits on many 2000s/2010s Madonna videos. Great hits, great music, great looks, great tours... And Madonna's natural voice that isn't auto-tuned or whatever. Madonna evolving from an artist with simple pop songs to the artist with more complex and better music. No constant features, no Madonna being a mess on Instagram. Not contradicting herself like in the 2010s - calling some older songs cheesy, then making cheesy and basic songs.
  10. S.E.X. isn't a ballad. Where is Inside Out?
  11. This will be interesting and a nice addition to Madonna Mania. It would be great if LAP anniversary edition gets released around that time.
  12. It would be great. She should have performed more BS songs on previous tours. Survival could have easily been an intro for Human Nature on S&S tour or MDNA tour. Sanctuary too, as an intro for some ballad.
  13. I wish: Words The Look of Love Bad Girl Causing a Commotion/Into The Groove Who's That Girl When it comes to hits, Vogue and Express Yourself would be great. Maybe LAP too, but only if it is an album version.
  14. Since I expect the album to contain electronica, I think it might dictate what other old songs will be on the setlist. Honestly, I don't want Music and AL to play a big role. On Tears of a Clown she focused too much on Music, AL and ROL. I am not interested in that. One song from each album would be enough.
