  1. wow, is madonna really as horrible as these comments are making her out to be? I really loved her and admired her, but she seems to be very rude and hypocritical ? :( I have only been a fan since 2016, so I am unaware about some things.
  2. I am not embarrassed by her Instagram. I don't know how anyone could expect her to have a "normal" Instagram; it's Madonna, so of course she's not going to be like everyone else or play by the rules of how people think older women should act.
  3. She also looked so pretty in Express Yourself and Vogue. <3 Her look during that era was beautiful, like in Dick Tracy and when she performed Sooner or Later at the Oscars... It's unfair that so many different hairstyles suit her so well. XD
  4. Like a Virgin - she looked so pretty in the black dress and blue pants. <3 I also love her look in the Open Your Heart and Who's That Girl videos when she's wearing the hat, long jacket and pants. One of my other favorites is her look in La Isla Bonita (not when she's wearing the red dress, although I like that too). I know it's simple but she just looks so stunning! That haircut really suited her.
  5. I love Bedtime Stories. The whole era and everything was perfect. <3
  6. I just heard Let Down Your Guard for the first time.yesterday and I loved it! I don't understand why it wasn't included on the album.
  7. They are all so great. I chose TAB but PDP would be a close second.
  8. The Virgin Tour... I don't really like how she sings it during the BAT, but it is an entertaining performance. I actually haven't seen the performances of it during the Re-invention and Rebel Heart tours. Her performance of it during the WTG tour isn't that memorable since she did a mash-up with other songs...
  9. It is strange that I'll Remember wasn't included considering what a hit it was, or maybe it is just not as remembered or important to her career as the songs that made the track list? Surely it would've made the cut instead of Everybody if they were going by sales/chart performance?
  10. I can't believe True Blue and Causing a Commotion weren't included on it. if this album was someone's introduction to Madonna then they would be missing out on some of her biggest hits. I agree that it should've been in order. I'm sure they wanted to make it musically cohesive but it just seems messy in my opinion. I know that someone could just go and listen to those songs separately or create their own playlist of her songs--which is made especially easier with streaming--but it'd be more convenient to have them all, in order, on one album. A good thing that can be said about this album is that Who's That Girl was included.
  11. Thank you. They have a very good picture for something filmed in 1987.
  12. Definitely Like a Prayer... I prefer her ballads over her dance songs and Like a Prayer has a lot of them like Promise to Try, Oh Father and my favorite, Spanish Eyes. It also has Cherish which is one of my favorite songs by Madonna. Hard Candy is a very fun album though and I enjoy a few songs on it. I just don't think it can compare to Like a Prayer.
  13. I chose Now I'm Following You and Give Me All Your 'Luvin. After seeing them all listed I've noticed I don't like most of her featured songs...
  14. that is a very good impersonation of madonna. I've actually seen it a few times before and thought it was her too.
  15. yes but her face was turned right side up for many international releases
  16. The cover for Bedtime Stories is my choice. I love the colors and her look during that time is my absolute favorite. I agree that the fan made one is better though. The title is much easier to read than on the official cover. The Like a Prayer cover is my second favorite; it is very simple but beautiful.
  17. I think her biggest change appearance-wise happened between the COADF and Hard Candy eras.
  18. I don't think you came across as negative. You were just observing how much her looks changed. Some people are much more rude about her appearance I'm sure.
  19. Such a beautiful photo of her. Having more weight on her could definitely be one of the reasons why her appearance changed so much. Her arms look more muscular in photos from 1999 than in 1994.
  20. I agree that she looked very different between 1994 and 1997. It definitely has to do with her hair, makeup and possibly her weight. During the Bedtime Stories era she usually had very white hair and her thin eyebrows also made a big difference to her appearance. As well, she seemed to look very healthy, fit and wasn't too skinny (not that she wasn't beautiful when she became thinner too.) I think these combinations made her appear different and more like a 'rebellious' young woman. Here she is in 1995, for example. (I think she looked the most beautiful during this era.) Later in 1995 I think she started to look mature by using different makeup, getting a new hairstyle and dying her hair; her eyebrows were also thicker. She probably wanted to change her image because of the release of her ballads compilation and upcoming filming of Evita. The absence of the platinum blonde hair and thin eyebrows made a big difference in her looks in my opinion. In 1996 I don't think her looks changed much from 1995 except for different hairstyles. Here she is with a hairstyle that she didn't have often during that year; I think she looks much different than she does in other photographs from the same year and more like she did a couple of years previous. In 1997/1998 her different looks became more obvious. Her hair was nothing like it was in 1994. It was longer, curly and more flat at the top. She also had it parted equally most of the time. I think it just framed her face differently and was a completely different hairstyle than all of her previous ones which is what made her look like a different person. She also seemed to wear less bold makeup and began losing the weight that she had gotten from being pregnant, becoming skinnier than she had been before she became pregnant. Really, makeup, hair and eyebrows can make someone look like a completely different person when changing it. I don't think she necessarily aged quickly between those years--it's just that she changed her looks drastically between them. Maybe if Madonna had kept her Bedtime Stories era look from 1994 - 1998 she never would've appeared to age at all, but we all know how much she likes changing her image so that was never going to happen!
