  1. This tour is one of her best. The remixes were wonderful for the most part and it was quite refreshing after TGS and DWT. However, I think this tour could do with some changes, I believe: The Beast Within - Intro Vogue Nobody Knows Me Nothing Really Matters - this deserved a fucking live performance SO SO much. War Intro / American Life Swim - makes more sense thematically than Frozen and also bridges the gap between American Life's anti-war message and the positive message of Love Profusion Love Profusion (Headcleanr Remix) Burning Up I’m So Stupid - this one was a MUST. Material Girl was lame. Hollywood Intro / Hollywood - keep the interlude as intro but a full performance of this song was needed. Deeper and Deeper Take a Bow - It's a shame this has never been included on any of her tours. It was planned for RIT but scrapped in the end. Truly a shame. I think a jazzy rendition of this would have been awesome! Die Another Day Lament Bedtime Story - Interlude Nothing Fails Like a Prayer Mother and Father Papa Don’t Preach - This would have made more sense here and could have made this section a tad more interesting. Intervention - To close it all off, gives this song the amazing performance it deserved. Susan MacLeod - Intro / Into the Groove Express Yourself - Why was this version so LAME? Drop the Shep Pettibone Mix. This should have been a drum-heavy performance in Scots kilts YAS! Crazy for You Holiday Music

  3. It's a CONCEPT ALBUM. It's an album released by Breathless Mahoney, sort of. Like...a companion album for the film as if the character Breathless Mahoney from the movie released an album. So...to consider it a Madonna studio album would be a BIT of a stretch. It's kind of like Miley Cyrus' albums as Hannah Montana.
  4. This only makes sense if you're an artist like Rihanna who has pop/Urban crossover potential. If you appeal to audiences who are very different from each other, it makes sense to release two singles which could be more well received by these two target audiences. Madonna doesn't have that. In fact, at this time she only has her die-hard fans and she isn't as well received by the GP and young audiences like she used to. I don't wanna be a pessimist but this would not make much sense. However, what could make sense was to stop releasing three deluxe editions of one album with a shit ton of bonus tracks and instead take the old route by attaching a non-album/bonus track or album outtake to each single. For Rebel Heart for example it could have went like this: Standard Version: Iconic Veni Vedi Vici Illuminati Best Night S.E.X. Holy Water Inside Out Unapologetic Bitch Bitch, I'm Madonna Rebel Heart - Reworked Version by BloodPop Joan of Arc Body Shop Devil Pray Hold Tight Ghosttown HeartBreakCity Messiah Living for Love Wash All Over Me Deluxe Version Tracks: Graffiti Heart Borrowed Time Addicted - Reworked Version by BloodPop Living for Love (Remix) Living for Love (Remix) Living for Love - Single Living for Love (Album Version) Living for Love (Djemba Djemba Radio Edit / Alternative Version) Queen Living for Love - Remix EP Ghosttown - Single Ghosttown (Album Version) Joan of Arc (Stripped Down Version) Borrowed Time Ghosttown - Remix EP Bitch, I'm Madonna - Single Bitch, I'm Madonna (Album Version) Bitch, I'm Madonna (Sander Kleinberg Radio Mix) Auto-Tune Baby Bitch, I'm Madonna - Remix EP Devil Pray - Single Devil Pray (Album Version) Devil Pray (Remix Edit) Iconic (Part 2) Devil Pray - Remix EP
  5. I will never understand the laziness in terms of visuals that is apparent throughout this entire era.
  6. Definitely not lol. It was the first time music wasn't her priority and the first time she decided to use producer rejects to record. The lack of input from her is apparent and the production on most of the songs is just atrocious. The album doesn't feel like an album but rather a demo mixtape.
  7. Nope. Poor production, poor songwriting. It’s her most dated-sounding album by FAR. You have got to be kidding ahahaha.
  8. Finally someone who I 100% agree with regarding this album. I also find that the fanbase is overrating it A LOT in recent times because they think it didn't get the acclaim it deserved...
  9. Erotten...by far! The album is not that great. The music has aged like milk and the majority of the songs are fillers. The videos were good but her looks in general were pretty ugly and the tour isn't as good as Blonde Ambition, particularly because the song choices were not exciting and the setlist was so fucking short.
  10. Lazy and cheap sounding "reinterpretations" of oldies Almost exclusively songs from Rebel Heart and the 80s...the 90s and 00s were ignored almost entirely yet she decided to dg out almost every fucking single from her worst 80s album (LAV). The show didn't match up to the intro at all...it was too cutesy and too light-hearted for a show that seemed to have been originally conceived as way darker and more political (like the album itself). The album was one of her best in a long time and had a great concept and story attached t it, the tour failed to transport any of that into the show and instead seemed like a mixed bag of rehashed ideas scrambled together into a show that was not cohesive in any way. The song selection within the sections was beyond terrible and random? Candy Shop was performed AGAIN. A lot of the tour versions sounded like watered down album versions and Holiday was the most bland, unnecessary version she has ever done of it. All in all, this show had exactly one purpose: to please casual fans and to have a DVD that would sell well (due to the amount of 80s songs in it).
  11. Mhhh I think this is what inspired Madonna's RHT performance of LDLHA tbh...

It came out in 1985. The same year Madonna released her version (probably the reason why LDLHA was never released as a single).

      survivalartist

she obviously loves the song, not only covering it way back when but revisiting it with a video for Something To Remember and now on Rebel Heart which are three distinctively different eras in her career. its not her strongest tune, i have a soft spot for the Soulpower Remix its sooo 90s

    2. PlayPause

      PlayPause

The fact that it wasn't released as a single is because she didn't want to be a covers singer for a long time. In the 80s, such covers were regarded as "bonus" or b-side material, not original enough (indeed) for a young artist. In the 90s, times had changed and covers were trendy again, hence Fever, the remix single version of LDLHA and American Pie.

Well, then it most definitely should have been the b-side to Over and Over which deserved a single release over Gambler (which should have been the b-side to Crazy for You).

  12. OMG this is SO GREAT! She's been paying dust to Ray of Light for quite a while now! Time to bring back the GOOD 90s stuff!
  13. Fever was uploaded too! I think they might be uploading all her videos now.

  15. Hello guys! I think this forum really needs some good Madonna emotes, so I thought, “Why not open a thread and collect suggestions?”. Here are some I made for the other forum I’m a member of. They come in 50x50 and a 100x100 version. (blowkiss) (gun) (oop) (tehe) (no) (sass) (posing) (liar) (waiting) (cackle) (madga1) (madga2) (legend) (um) (watchulookinat) (kill) (ugh) (judging) (bop) (poordat) (nonono) (botox)
  16. oh hell to tha no! The fact it almost landed on the standrad edition over Love Spent! A fucking disgrace! It was already bad enough that Superstar made it over Beautiful Killer...
  17. ufff she has quite a lot of songs that have never gotten beyond their potential and stayed sort of mediocre but I'll only list my top 20 (from most awful to less awful): B-Day Song Superstar Don't Stop Can't Stop I Don't Give A I Fucked Up One More Chance Shoo-Bee-Doo Auto-Tune Baby Beautiful Scars Jimmy Jimmy Incredible Turn Up the Radio Waiting In This Life Spanish Lesson Candy Shop X-Static Process Dance 2night How High
  18. I wanna drop it because regardless of its lyrical content I consider it one of the worst songs from Erotica. In fact, isn't my favourite album to begin with but Bad Girl is one of her best songs to date and deserved a spot on that setlist and definitely more so than In This Life.

don't do that, don't tease us ... it hurts in these lonely lonely times

  22. Fuuucckkkk I knew she would reconsider Impressive Instant for that tour again! So glad to have it confirmed now hahahah.
  23. This song, along with Over and Over were originally planned as singles from LAV. Unfortunately, back then Gambler (which was released by another label) and Into the Groove got in the way. After Gambler, they tested the two songs in selected territories to decide which one should get the single spot (in case they did well enough). None of the two did that well so they scrapped them. Personally, I feel both of them deserved to be released as singles. It still bugs me that only two songs from the entire era got proper music videos. Re-releasing the song was truly dumb. Instead, Warner should have tried to clear the rights for I Want You which truly deserved to be a single at that time.
