  1. This may be an unpopular opinion here but it seems many of you just don't get it. Sandra hasn't used Madonna's name over the years to get press -- the press has asked Sandra about Madonna over and over and over and over because, if you were around back in the late 80's, they caused quite a stir. There was a huge fascination in their friendship. Longtime fans of both loved hearing Sandra talk about her in her shows -- because she spilled tea. But either way, Sandra was already well on the rise before she & Madonna struck up their friendship. Sandra starred in Martin Scorcese's King of Comedy with Robert DeNiro way before all that. She was a regular -- and hilarious -- guest on David Letterman for YEARS. Yes, her association with Madonna introduced her to a wider audience, but it now follows her around everywhere. I am 100% certain if she showed up at a Madonna show, there'd be a ton of buzz and people trying to take her picture etc. because tales of their falling out are so well known. I don't think she means she'd take the attention off the star, I think she means she just wants to go enjoy the show as an audience member and not feel on display. (The way someone like Rosanna Arquette or Sean Penn or Rosie O'Donnell is gonna get attention at an M show too.) Sandra may not be everyone's cup of tea, but she's not a nobody. She is a brilliant comedienne who continues to tour, and hosts her own show on SiriusXM. Younger people might view her as "too negative" but that was part of her brand. A darker, hilarious, bitter, cynical point of view. She was brash and loud, in your face, and dangerous. And SO much fun for those with a wicked sense of humor. For those of us there at the time, Madonna's times out and about with Sandra were some of the first times we got a taste of Madonna's own sense of humor, they went out to clubs and restaurants, walked red carpets, and 'caused a ruckus everywhere they went. In gossip columns and followed by paparazzi. This was long before Instagram and Tik Tok. We almost NEVER got a peek into celebs' personal lives -- so when we heard about who Madonna was running around with, we ate it up. There was something really powerful about seeing 2 strong women tearing it up and not giving a f*ck what anyone thinks of them.

  3. I'm not going to see the show until Brooklyn in December, but I also noticed the O2 seating chart does not seem to match photographs of the floor. I'm not talking about the specific layout of the pits and which catwalks are connected to each other -- but things like the amount of rows in certain sections -- or the amount of seats in some areas. For the center stage that goes furthest out into the audience, are there 4 seats on either side of the center stage -- or is it 3 as it appears in photos? If the floor plan changed from when tickets were sold, what happens?
  4. DEC 13 - Brooklyn, NY (up against the B stage/center stage) DEC 14 - Brooklyn, NY (front floor, against the side stage) DEC 16 - Brooklyn, NY (GA pit) This will be my 57th, 58th & 59th time seeing her perform -- and my 96th, 97th & 98th time seeing in her person.
  5. what a mess. One thing I noticed when I logged in this morning, and again a few minutes ago, if you're looking for the best floor seats (Immaculate, Iconic, You Can Dance, Platinum), you didn't even need the code. The code looks like it was only for the back of the floor, and lower & upper bowl seats. I didn't need one this morning for the Iconic tix I got. So frustrating.
  6. For the 12/16 show private pre-sale today, Iconic VIP tickets are still available now -- for both pits. There's still at least 10 Immaculate VIP tickets still available too -- and few Platinum tickets in the same area. I got that same 2nd email this morning -- AFTER I'd already completed my checkout for my new tickets. I didn't need a code to purchase Iconic VIP -- it appeared the only tickets that needed codes were further back on the floor and lower bowl seats -- But there were tons of Immaculate, Iconic, You Can Dance VIP, and Platinum tix available at 10am without entering any code. I hate that this was such a mess
  7. Got my email from Ticketmaster with the link & code for Barclays onsale tomorrow AM.
  8. Same question for the one NYC show too -- both Madonna.com and a Barclays Center Instagram post stated those impacted would be getting a link or code or whatever for an advanced presale -- they all start tomorrow (Tuesday) morning at 10am local time -- but still NOTHING from Ticketmaster. And it looks like a bunch of people haven't even gotten their refunds yet.
  9. Love these details but one part isn't entirely accurate. During rehearsals, they did indeed attempt to clear the space -- however, a handful of staff, myself included, made our way all the way up to the 2nd or 3rd balcony and watched through the small windows at the back of the balcony -- was such a treat to watch them run through it multiple times. And then of course we had to keep our mouths shut to keep all the plans under wraps.
  10. even though it gave some of us a minor panic attack, I did notice that at least SOME venues are actually selling tickets on the far sides of the 2 runways on either side of the front sections. Take a look at Ticketmaster's listing for San Francisco or for LA (Inglewood) -- were those sections on the far sides of those runways always on sale and I just didn't notice because I only looked at NYC shows? I wonder if certain venues have more space so they're selling those extra seats or what? Very curious to see what happens once the original dates get rescheduled...
  11. I'm pretty sure we can ignore those Wikipedia tour dates -- several are on Friday nights, which we all know she has avoided performing on since the early 00's...
  12. FYI -- the crowd wasn't "late" -- there were 2 enormous lines -- one for NFT holders, the other for VIP and Friends & Family guests. Both lines stretched from the venue entrance all the way to 11th & 12th streets, wrapping around the corners. Everyone had to empty all the metal from their pockets and go through metal detectors, and there was a lot of time spent getting the correct color wristbands on to the right guests. The different color wristbands dictated which area of the venue you were allowed to enter. It just took forever to get everyone inside.
  13. Seriously? 10 are queens from multiple seasons of RuPaul's Drag Race, including 5 or 6 winners, and some who've also appeared on All-Stars seasons. Honey Dijon is a world renowned DJ. Saucy Santana's 'Material Girl' and 'Booty' are songs that exploded on TikTok. Jose Xtravaganza from Blond Ambition/Truth or Dare -- come on.
  14. The cocktail menu for tonight is cute -- esp. the reference that "all cocktails also available like a virgin". But doesn't change the fact that it sucks this event isn't open to fans or general public celebrating pride. I don't know how many gays are in the NFT space, but I'm really curious who the audience for this event will be. Earlier this week, I passed by a giant queue of people lined up for some event related to all the NFT stuff happening this week in NYC and they did not look like a crowd you might see at a Madonna NYC club show.
  15. Performers tonight include: Saucy Santana, Tokischa, Bob the Drag Queen, Violet Chachki, La Ganga Estranja, Jose Xtravaganza, Honey Dijon, Pixie Aventura, Gottmik, Aquaria, Symone, Gigi Goode, Shea Coulee, Detox, and Venus D Lite
  16. I don't think she's performing at any of the official Pride events, I just assumed she's performing or appearing at the NFT-related party Guy recently tweeted about.
  17. I think people need to lower expectations here. While it IS the "premiere" -- this is not going to be big old fashioned red carpet and klieg light affair. It appears to be taking place in the Paradise Club at the Edition Times Square -- that has a seating capacity of 135 (but that's with tables, so maybe if it's just seats there could be more but not many.) This will likely be a very intimate, small thing.
  18. FYI -- Where's The Party and Love Makes The World Go Round are now corrected on iTunes as well. They were both missing from iTunes entirely all weekend into Monday -- but they're back now and corrected.
  19. While Fridays are the traditional release date here in the States, artists have been dropping new material on other days lately. Friday IS still the main, traditional release day, but I've seen new stuff drop mid-week here and there -- at least several times in the last maybe 2 years. It's not impossible.
  20. Why hasn't anyone suggested maybe it's a new song (and maybe video too) called "Boom" with remixes by Kaytranada, Honey Dijon, Misshapes, Eli Escobar. Feels like that's what the teases are pointing towards -- to me, at least.
  21. As of yesterday, they are NOT loading out. This was simply one set piece being sent out for repair -- it's coming back. Confirmed by BAM staffer.
  22. from what I can see -- they know a lot -- but it's still not accurate. Some songs on their list have been cut, others added
  23. Remember -- this is the Madame X Tour to promote the Madame X album -- it is not a greatest hits tour, nor is a tour meant to appeal to the casual fan. Expect the overwhelming majority of songs to be from the new album -- at least 12 songs. Plus a few classics and a few snippets of other hits.
  24. for the first round of U.S. dates (NY/Chicago/LA), we were supposed to hear by Sunday 5/19 by Noon ET -- but Chicago people started finding out Monday into Tuesday, Los Angeles Tuesday into Wednesday, and then NYC Wednesday into Thursday. And as far as I could tell -- there were no more confirmations after Thursday night or overnight into Friday AM that week. With additional dates now in NY & LA, plus all the other U.S. cities, it's safe to assume the rollout of confirmations will take longer than it did that first week, as there's many more dates to distribute. Good luck! By the way, many people were actually first alerted of their selection when the authorization hit their credit cards. Sometimes HOURS before getting the email confirmation. ***Also, it's probably a good idea to contact your credit card company NOW to give them a heads up that a larger than usual charge may be coming through in the next week. With prices so high, some credit card companies' systems flag these sales as potential fraud and then the orders don't go through -- so it's best to give them advanced notice just in case.
