The original Lucky Star LP cover reminds me of the Hollywood CD single cover, but 20 years prior.

I think it's an interesting cover, but the release one is far better.

The shoot for the Lucky Star LP is too done up, that is Madonna looks too glam. The Gary Heery shots convey more sexuality, danger and are more enticing and bold. I much prefer the Heery shots.

I like the George Holz shoot, the photos looked nice on the Borderline US single releases, but "The First Album" cover looks awful, more so how it is set out.
