RUMORS: Madonna to perform in Canada in September

Canadian site Le Soleil reports that the opening of the new arena in Quebec City will be marked with a concert by Madonna in September. Sources also say that the Bell Centre in Montreal is also booked for a show during the second week of September.

According to rumors, Madonna is getting ready to hit the road with a new tour - this time, focusing on arenas.

 

The ICONIC WORLD TOUR will visit mostly Europe and North America. The tour is set to revisit Madonna’s most iconic moments and remind people of why she is the undisputed Queen of Pop.

 

Earlier this week, Italian newspaper TORINO TODAY  [ http://www.torinotoday.it/eventi/madonna-torino-uniche-date-2015.html ] said Madonna would return to the city on November 20th and 21st (25 years after her last stop there with the Blond Ambition Tour).

 

Today, several Canadian newspapers, including LE SOLEIL [ http://www.lapresse.ca/le-soleil/dossiers/vers-un-nouveau-colisee/201501/28/01-4839437-inauguration-de-lamphitheatre-madonna-dans-la-mire-de-quebecor.php  ]and the JOURNAL DE MONTREAL  [ http://www.journaldemontreal.com/2015/01/29/quebecor-tenterait-dattirer-madonna-a-quebec-pour-louverture-du-nouveau-amphitheatre ] reported that Madonna’s tour dates in Quebec City and Montreal have been decided. 

 

According to the Canadian publications, Madonna would be “opening†a new arena in Quebec City, while the shows in Montreal would happen at the Bell Center. 

 

GET READY! According to these reports, the tour will be announced right after the Grammy’s (where Madonna will be performing, on February 8th).

The tour will most likely start in late 2015 or early 2016, which makes sense if she actually opens the show in Australia (it's spring/summer there during that time). Guy O said that 2015 is reserved for album promo so I'm assuming she will tour November/December 2015 at the earliest.

I don't really think that this tour will have southamerican dates. artists as big as her usually play in stadiums here. and an arena show is usually made only for europe/north america. I really really hope she will kick off the tour in Australia. it seems like we all want that.

I'm just after watching Re-Invention Tour and I think it would be amazing to see a small stage on this tour. The MDNA Tour stage was huge, this would be amazing to have something more cameral.

she could get inspiration on the stage used by U2 during the Elevation Tour 2001. very personal and minimal, with screens ONLY on the songs where it's necessary. also, it's heart-shapped (the first time any artist allowed people 'into' the stage as far as I know).

 

or even, she could use a simple stage this time, with no runaways.
