Tupac collaborations

Hello, Madonna fans! I am a big 2Pac fan, so I of course am aware of their collaboration on the original version of I'd Rather Be Your Lover.

In the 2Pac community, there have been rumors that they did more than just that song together. There is this interview with Suge, but it's very questionable to me.

Quote

...

And then we’ve got ‘Tales From The Crib.’ That is the real song he did with Madonna, but I don’t know whether we are going to put that one out or not. It’s like the J.Lo thing. Madonna’s married with kids now. Back then she was still real wild. They even talked about doing a video for that song, but yeah. We’ll have to see about that one.”

Suge didn't give many interviews and some of the info in it is inaccurate, but he was also known for making shit up in interviews. He did a lot of what we would now refer to as "trolling" back then. Also Suge Knight/Death Row were never in control of any of 2Pac's music from the era when 2Pac and Madonna were known to be together.

Have any of you fans heard anything about other collaborations they might have done outside of the one we all are familiar with?

Thanks!

Madonna mentionned a 2Pac collab a few months ago in an instagram post. She said wrote : "One day i will release the song i did with 2Pac". Some people assumed she was talking about "I'd rather be your lover" and that she wasn't aware it was all over the net for many years. I don't believe she was talking about "I'd rather". She must be living under a rock not to know it's leaked ages ago. I do believe there is indeed another totally unheard track.

Thanks for the insight. I did see that post she made and it made me think that she was talking about IRBYL but it really could go either way. Even if she wasn't aware it was leaked, I could see her referring to a different song based on that post just because IRBYL with 2Pac is a different version of an already released song. Would be sweet to get some clarification.

i don't think madonna is up to date of what has leaked and what hasnt. i don't think she's concerned unless it was from an upcoming album

I would agree with this. This song was not very well known even in the 2Pac scene compared to a lot of his other unreleased music.

Yes, obviously it’s another track. She is a huge Meshell fan and wouldn’t place his version of hers. It would be reductive. Meshell’s gives great meaning. And also, it was more of a feat. Madonna was clearly talking about a co-production. Not some rapping feat in middle.
