The 22 tracks aren't the full show. It's a mix of Tears of A Clown as well.

I work for a company called Blueprint London. We specialise in designing and printing artwork for the Home Entertainment industry, and my client is Universal Pictures. As both an industry professional and fan I am surprised this artwork was chosen for the press release (if not the final product). I can appreciate the concept but the execution falls short. No need to dwell on it's shortcomings here, as they've already been addressed elsewhere in this thread.

Although I hope this isn't the final product, it would be very bad Marketing practise to announce a release date via press release showing one design, only to change it further down the line. It's confusing for fans, and the inconsistency would disrupt the sales momentum created by the press release in the first instance.

That said, I suspect most die hard fans have already seen the show either on Showtime or via YouTube. Waiting this long after the event is a mistake in terms of physical release potential. However, I suspect the sale of the TV rights were far more profitable than the number of units any physical release could hope to achieve. The sales of those rights usually impose an exclusivity window before they can be resold to another distributor, or commit to a physical release, which is why we've waited so long for the DVD.

A DVD/Blu-ray/CD is a nice memento for collector's, but it's not a money-spinner in this age. Remembering first and foremost that this is a business, I'd suggest it's increasingly irrelevant to compare the sales strategy of this release to any of her previous concert DVDs.

The inclusion of a double-CD is potentially a good idea - the additional manufacturing costs are negligible compared to the perceived retail value, and it gives reason to buy the physical release if you've already watched it on Showtime. That said, I find it hard to believe anyone who wants the audio wouldn't have already ripped it (or simply downloaded it) from the internet by now, which is why not including the missing songs feels like a wasted opportunity on the physical release.

I'm on the fence regarding TOAC. Yes, it's inclusion would've been a must-have for any fan; but then again it's increasingly mythical once-in-a-lifetime (or should that be twice-in-a-lifetime?) status makes it's even more special for those who got to see it. And in any case, it was a completely different show to Rebel Heart, so why would it be included in the Rebel Heart Tour DVD?

One further thought - I suspect TOC is still a work in progress; a demo version of a show Madonna hopes to tour later on in life. It might not necessarily be called TOC and the set-list will surely be refined; but why put out an official release for a work-in-progress now, which might cannibalise sales of a new, far more polished tour in the future?

Ultimately though, I'm a fan and I'm just grateful that we're getting a release. It's a brilliant show that deserves to be archived and remembered. Thank you again Madonna. I'm looking forward to it.

I think CD1 might be 13 tracks from Rebel Heart Tour and CD2 would be 9 tracks from TOAC...

While I'd prefer to have the full Rebel Heart Tour than Tears of A Clown but we already have the HQ audio of that so I'd take a full Tears of A Clown show so don't have to listen to a rip of a Periscope anymore lol.

At best to squeeze in some 'digital only' tracks like she did for Confessions Tour and Sticky & Sweet Tour.

What makes you believe this?

If you are right, then which songs would you select?

I'd say Iconic, Burning up, Holy water, True blue, Deeper and deeper, HBC+LDLHA, LAV, Living for love, Medley, Rebel heart, Music, Material girl, LVER, Holiday.

The ones that are not album versions. Less than these would be a crime! Do they fit in one cd?

I'd also include If I had a hammer...

I'm a bit clued out here... so Aldo Diaz is simply a fan? I'm not particularly bothered about the artwork for the DVD, tbh, I'm just curious as to how he ended up designing covers for M (I didn't realise he did the Bitch I'm Madonna single as well). Did he win a competition or something?

I posted an article from OfficialCharts that stated it.

OK, I'm gonna be kind too, and I'm gonna say:

I SWEAR I WILL NOT BUY THE PRODUCT IF THAT ANOMALY IS THE COVER.

I'll use another method to get the full f***ing 2 year-old thing. Boycott. Period.

Definitely, one can never know what Madonna is liking at the moment... I made this -also totally amateurish- sketch in 2 minutes long time ago, inspired by the IGTTYAS cover (which I did not understand in that moment), but now she seems to be in the "mood" for a copy/paste pictures, vivid colors, flying feet and bad taste in general.

Do you know Leticia Sabater (from Spain)?

"La Salchipapa" (The Sausage-Potato... You sausage and me potato, yeeeah) was a ""hit"" last summer...

...but Aldo's cover is making Leticia's video looks even AWESOME.

I don't know, I was younger, but I think I would have take some times to think about it, and to perfect my work.

Anyway, we shouldn't bash him, I hope I'm not bashing him, I'm happy for him, I'm just unhappy about how it looks.

Same here. I'm a perfectionist and if Madonna came to me with this kind of opportunity, I'd be the one most obsessed about it being perfect in every way. However, I'm not happy with what Madonna is making with him. I mean, if she wants to give him an opportunity and make him known, fine, but don't do it with something I'm gonna buy. Give him an exhibition, or something like that, but no this.

I'm not bashing Aldo himself, I certainly didn't post a single comment on his pages, and I'm not that serious when it comes to complaining in this forum.

His artwork is crap? He lacks taste and skills and experience? Yes, indeed, but I'm happy he has his opportunity.

I'm just not that happy that his opportunity affects us all.

I think she just found him on instagram. She goes through her tag and finds fan artworks to repost regularly which is cute. I think after the Ghosttown cover debacle she said "I'll let my fans do them then". But i'm not her biographer...

Ah, I see. Well, that's nice of her. Regardless of what anyone says about the work, this guy has clearly hit the jackpot!
