I find a lot of people who dont know anything about Madonna tend to say she does not have any talent and is just a good marketing person ..I find it really annoying because i believe she is super talented and it makes me sad that somebody that i adore has people claim she is not talented..Is it because she does not have a huge vocal range or is it because she has been sexual throughout her career

Because they are ignorant, end of the story. The myth that Madonna does 'nothing', 'she doesn't write her music', 'she's just a marketing product', 'she's a whore', 'she can't sing' etc has spread through the years, and people don't feel the need to dig deeper into Madonna's ACTUAL story & catalogue; it's sad but true, I was talking with someone I know about this not long ago..

Ignorance, its whats antis have been saying about her since the beginning and it stuck as the narrative against her.

No, she can chart if she actually promotes it properly this time. First of all her team MUST do something with her YouTube/Spotify accounts. She needs promotion, especially on Spotify. Even if people buy, idk, 50.000+ copies the first week, the single will not enter the top 40 without streaming too, that's a fact (im talking about US).

MDNA is a good album with quite a few great songs and yes some fillers too. The real problem is the time when it was released. The album dropped right in the middle of the EDM explosion; Madonna being at the forefront of dance electronica since Ray Of Light was expected to come out with an over the top/experimental sound especially when Orbit was on board as well. Instead we had a safe, sort of middle of the road sound. I personally think MDNA is a very catchy, enjoyable record and apart from a few cuts i find it very accomplished.

This is such a fascinating thread to read. So many things that could've been that never were. I think Madonna should do an international tour of Tears Of A Clown and differentiate the setlist every night so that she'd be able to perform songs she's never performed live before or songs that only got the live treatment a handful of times.

I still can't believe Nothing Really Matters has never made a tour.

Yes, BAT was originally called the Like A Prayer Word Tour. I'm sure most people here have seen it, but for those who haven't here are some promotional posters and Pepsi cans (Pepsi were due to sponsor the tour before the controversy of the LAP video, but we all knew that ðŸ˜).
