The Madame X on worldwide charts thread
Mister_Pop and 3 others reacted to groovyguy for a topic
All indicators point to a #1 debut for Madonna on next week’s HITS Top50. With a ticket bundle and D2C offerings fueling half of the opening total, expect Madame X to give Madge her first #1 since 2012’s MDNA. Early reads: Madonna (Live Nation/Maverick/Interscope) 80-100k total activity, 75-95k album Bruce Springsteen (Columbia) 42-47k, 40-44k More at HitsDailyDouble http://m.hitsdailydouble.com/news&id=316829&title=MADONNA,-BRUCE-HEADED-FOR-TOP-DEBUTS4 points -

Since M14 (Madame X) is out now, the trip begins in a certain way again - Life is a circle. I am wondering what next step for Madonna would be possible: She has done almost everything... Disco, Subtropical sounds on M14, R'nB etc. Usually the grain for the next record lies in the record before. In a way I also see Madame X as a developpment from Rebel Heart, including the infulences she found in Lisbon. So, to cut a long story short, what could M15 sound like? Working with Mirwais/ Dean again? Going full pop or experimental?2 points

The Madame X on worldwide charts thread

1- More Physical sellings: Madonna , 2nd is Bruce .- 2.- She is #1 in itunes USA and UK (and keeps more countries in the spot than itunes shows) and why?... Madame X DELUXE is #2 in both lists but we must add the STANDARD Edition as well, itunes counts them separatelly. You can check it in the global chart for 'artists', Madonna is absotulety UP comparing to Bruce: https://kworb.net/itunes/ Madonna is #6 and Bruce #11 right now. (She was #1 &2 the 1st day, Bruce NEVER) btw... Medellin Remixes Part 2 is doing it amazingly in USA and UK ! she can get the #1 BB Dance Club position this week. ....and a miracle!... the Hot 100 entry (USA & UK) is just a possibility (Digital Album sales helps this week to Medellin to list her)2 points -

M15- The next Album
kesiak reacted to Mr. Peanutbutter Horseman for a topic
No, sorry, but I think she's done. This is her victory lap, the ending of her Live Nation contract, and she'll want to go out on a high note. She has three movies to direct lined up after this (not counting her I'll be directing my own autobiography jokes), and I truly believe that after telling us that we'll miss her when she's gone, she's gonna show us how that actually feels. I don't expect a new album for at least 4 years, if ever.1 point -

Madame X Tour Songs Expectations
Exaktneutral reacted to stefo for a topic
Some thoughts in pure freedom, I listened to the record just twice, so... I see good old ones coming this time: Frozen Secret Live to tell (100% sure) RAIN (my big dream) Vogue Like a Prayer (almost sure, don't forget it wasn't in the official track list for Rebel Heart) maybe the acoustic version of Borderline she already played in Melbourne and at Jimmy Fallon's of course a fado version of at least one of her old standards like Like a Virgin or, why not, a mid tempo emotional version of Ray of Light Coen's Hallelujah cover quite probably A pair of old singles wich did not become big hits, like Love Profusion Bedtime Story Rescue Me Nothing Really Matters Human Nature And, finally, some deep cuts I just wanna dream to be considered, including even just one of them: SWIM SECRET GARDEN PRAY FOR SPANISH EYES TO HAVE AND NOT TO HOLD REBEL HEART (I think she will pick one track from her last work this time ... Rebel Heart definately was not MDNA) Oh, and I think that this pic would have made an amazing theatre bill and promotional pic!1 point -
Making crave chart on Hot 100
tvseries reacted to Rebelheart75 for a topic
Crave is played on AC radio stations. Does it get any airplay on other stations ?1 point -
Now Apple owns the charts?? Please. The only chart that counts is Billboard Hot 100, nevertheless it is irrelevant nowadays because Apple took over. Apple can't and doesn't own the music biz. I couldn't care less about Apple and don't have any of its products, so I guess my streamings don't add up to anything.1 point

Did Patrick Leonard stole money from fans?
Mr. Peanutbutter Horseman reacted to BringUrLUV for a topic
Ever since he said he had a private donor cover the entire cost & then cancelled the Kickstarter I've been wondering if that private donor was Madonna herself. Maybe she asked him to hold of on the release till after Madame X era is over? It is weird that it keeps getting delayed.1 point -
Discuss-New Contract News vs. New Album News
Illmatic AF reacted to Turuncan for a topic
She needs another "American Life", but this time less superficial and more universally concerned. Not with the tired techno shit that has been done to death, but an edgier and progressive sound, making it her rockiest and most protest album. As the world becomes a worse place day by day, that's what we all need right now.1 point -
Discuss-New Contract News vs. New Album News
Illmatic AF reacted to LUKESAVANT for a topic
I started this thread to have a robust discussion and thank you to all of you! This has been discussed in great detail. There are no wrong answers/topics... other than my original comment of Rebel Heart being the final album under her current contract, which I later corrected. Lately, I have been wondering what is the best formula for increasing album sales for an artist of Madonna's stature? There are not many artists at her level anymore. I would love to see Madonna find a record label home that respects her enough to devote the proper resources to promotion. In turn, I think Madonna's core audience is changing. We are wiser, we are older (mid 30s- early 60s) and we do not have the same fickleness that the younger demographic has toward popular music. We are more settled into our comfort zones of what we like. Radio does not typically cater to us anymore. But I think whenever Madonna records her records the overall marketing plat is to include us and expand her fanbase of younger listeners. And radio hasn't been cooperating with that plan for many years. for the future... I just want great pop music. I want Madonna to do this for as long as she wants. If Tina Turner, Barbra Streisand and Cher can continue without end well into their 70's and Tony Bennet well into his 90s... We should have 20-30 more years of Madonna!! I must admit, I am curious if Madonna will ever do a tour of ballads. I would love a ballad album all new songs. The costumes she could wear could be far more glamorous and I am interested in how that could work from a production aspect. (this is totally just a fantasy of mine, it could never happen)1 point
