Just leaked, True Blue session outtakes (if real) and a pic from the set of La Isla Bonita video

  2. Really feeling for her, must be terrible to have to cancel, especially at this short notice. Just hoping it doesn’t become a recurring problem for her throughout the whole tour, the unpredictability of your show going ahead or not will drive me insane! Especially as it’s now such a long tour. Maybe the dates should have all been more spread out (one night on, one night off)

  3. It will be filmed in Lisbon again. The director will sue her for not fulfilling the contract and everything will be kept in store so we've got something extra to bitch about for years to come. The raw unedited footage with questioanable audio will leak in 2029 in .avi.

  4. I'm not a 90 years old that has to be in bed by 8pm so it's not a freaking tragedy if I'm staying out late for ONE night to enjoy a Madonna show, I treat this like a real huge party, as it's not every day that I afford to see her. I know there is a possibility she will be late and so I plan accordingly.

  5. All my respect in this moment, she gave us all, always in these 37 years. I just hope she's going to overcome it succesfully and not taking this knee problem with her during the whole tour And I really pray for them to record one of the next shows as soon as it's possible. We need to have a trace of this gorgeous and intimate experience!

  6. I don't know the size, but I really hope it will be filmed at Grand Rex Theatre, if it will be filmed. It looks so beautiful. I think that the set used as a backdrop in the part of the theater where the audience sits fits perfectly with the scenography of the Madame X show.

  9. So I finally saw the Madame X show last night. As titled, the show shares the journey and experiences of Madame X as well as the current state of the world we live in. Before I comment further on the show, I must say I absolutely love the pre show live music by the 4 member band, which performed several Madonna tracks - Secret, DTM, WTG, LAV. They sound brilliant. Seeing the show live - which is visually stunning - I can understand the songs selected for the setlist. Note: Don’t worry. I’m not gonna go through each performance in the setlist. She started the show literally with a bang - God Control. Then she performed Dark Ballet which ended with her being put into a round box space. It then seamlessly flowed in to Human Nature with her executing gorgeous choreography ala the Human Nature video. Those who thought her previous tours were too political might find offense in the first section alone which she throws in your face strong poignant political commentary. No one should take away our human rights and our right to live. We will not be silenced. We will speak and fight for our rights. Her PDP performance shows her stand against those trying to overthrow Roe Vs Wade and her fight for equal rights for women. She ended the section fittingly with American Life - “nothing is what it seems”. Side note: that AL bass is LIFE. The second section is exactly as she introduced to us - her life and new music inspiration and appreciation in Lisbon. Beginning with Fado music. This section is a massive hit if you love the Mx album and a sore miss if you’re not a fan of the album. That said, I find this section the most broadway-esque if that makes sense. The last section for me is about being freedom fighters craving for a brighter future despite obstacles and hardened people who want to take away our democracy. And she ended the show fading out with “We Will Rise” as she disappeared into the main exit of the theater behind the audience with her performers. To sum up, this is a dream show for me in that it is an intimate, highly choreographed yet spontaneous, visually stunning and artistic theatrical performance. Is it perfect? No. But its imperfections make it perfect for me if that makes any sense. Bitches, I absolutely love the show!

  10. She needs a recovery period ... brief three days stop (let's hope this won't become a problem for her, we're just at the beginning of a very long tour)

  16. I mean, she always starts after 10. ALWAYS. Why don't they just change the time on the tickets, since it's obviously wrong? Then she wouldn't be late and people could stop whining about unimportant stuff like this

  20. At the end of the day, if the rest of us turned up three hours late to work, what would the repercussion be? If you worked in a job in which you provided a service, you’d certainly either instantly lose custom (like M has), or lose any chance of a recommendation.

  21. Hey everyone, Have you every wished you were Madonna so that you would do things differently? Have you ever wishes she chose one single over another, had a different idea for a video, tour, album than the one we got or wish that some songs or movies were not made or stuff were promoted differently? This is what this thread is all about, so list the stuff that you consider to be Madonna's bad decisions in your opinions and how you'd rather do differently. It could be anything from your own concept for a performance or video to undoing some stuff or releasing some material before or after the time they were made available. Please note that this is meant to be a fun way to express your wishes, and not in any way an infringement on her freedom. Now, If I were Madonna, I would: 1. Perform God Control instead of Future at Eurovision and launch at as a single with music video the same night along with the album and tour sales, without releasing Medellín or showing anything about the new era before that, except some teasers maybe. 2. Release a complete visual album for Madame X album, revolving around the secret agent and her personas and properly fleshing out her character beyond a few appearances with an eye-patch or a trench coat. 3. Embark on a stadium/arena tour for Madame X including both songs from the album, 80s and 90s hits and some forgotten gems that were rarely performed, and let it serve both as a celebration of the great songs on Madame X with their theatrical atmosphere and a form of greatest hits tour, albeit one that is way better organized than Rebel Heart Tour. 4. Make Bitch I'm Madonna music video feature the other celebrities within the video set itself, rather than a superimposed footage filmed elsewhere. 5. Release Rebel Heart or Ghosttown as the lead single for Rebel Heart album (both get music videos) and use Ghosttown as the opener of the tour with a post-apocalyptic atmosphere and Rebel Heart as the closing track. 6. Keep Avicii's versions of the Rebel Heart album, rather than replacing them with acoustic versions, and release Wash All Over Me as a single with a music video. I would also release the acoustic versions as part of the super deluxe album. 7. Wouldn't take long breaks between albums because people aren't getting any more excited as time passes, and it shows. 8. Collaborate with Daft Punk as a future producer and take advantage of the tactics the current generation of singers and their managers use to push the albums, even if it means spending on a payola deal, stronger marketing, another Super Bowl or Eurovision...etc. and release promotional material up to the standards of today's style and design. No more homemade single covers by beginner-level Photoshop users. 9. Release an album of original and old ballads (or just original ones) and emphasizing on that style, THEN embark on a one off theater residency for it. Whether before or after Madame X. 10. I wouldn't spend time on making movies, knowing the public's stance towards any film related to Madonna in any shape or form, unless it's a soundtrack for a good Oscar contender that could help push my music career further. 11. Instead of auctioning a polaroid at a future theater show, I'd take a polaroid with a fan or a few fans picked at random or via contest or whoever's dressed best or the most enthusiastic at the show, and give it to them as a gift. This will not only make fans loved and appreciated, but also incentivize more people to come to win that once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. 12. Spend more time promoting MDNA album, release better singles like Girl Gone Wild as the lead, Masterpiece sing it won a Golden Globe, Beautiful Killer, I'm Addicted and Love Spent, with much better directed music videos, and add more dates on the MDNA Tour visiting Japan and Australia and breaking the record of the Sticky & Sweet Tour. That's all I can think of right now so feel free to add your ideas :D

  22. This part isn't true at all. It's a more active, though less aerobics heavy, tour than RHT. I hope she'll get better but 3 days isn't much time at all still!

  28. I would/will not get a refund, but... I am so glad that I managed to get good tickets for a Saturday show in London. If it was a week and she showed up at 11pm etc, then with work I literally could not do that. With the Saturday show, I was hoping that I could go out on the town for a few post-show drinks. Sure, I could now maybe do that before the show - but then I'd be stressed about showing up late thinking that I might miss the start of the show. Of course, I will wait... and wait... and wait... as a patient happy fan. I only hope that when M finally does take to the stage she is not in a pissy mood if other people are not as understanding as me. That would sincerely disappoint me on top of the tardiness. I'd be really sad if it became one of 'those' shows.

  29. I met one of my good friends on a Madonna forum. I’ve also met new people at concerts and had lots of fun. Not all Madonna fans are weirdos ? Madonna clearly knows these late starts are an issue for a lot of people and has made it clear she doesn’t care. She is a night owl these days and this is what suits her. She’s always been arrogant in a lot of ways so it’s not that surprising to me she’s getting worse with age as she becomes more eccentric. She’s in a position where she can do whatever she wants and everyone has to suck it up unfortunately. It doesn’t really effect me personally so I’m not too bothered about it. I do empathize with those who are but there’s nothing that can be done.

  33. To be honest, I don't care much about being spoiled. I've been a fan since I was 7 and it was 1998 at the time, I used to live in Iraq and had ZERO chance of seeing her live, so I always saw her tours on VCD/DVD/Blu-Ray up until MDNA Tour where I managed to see her at the Golden Triangle and it was the best thing that ever happened to me, then at Rebel Heart Tour again, front row and hopefully soon at Madame X Tour. So I sort of gotten used to the fact that I wanna see things as soon as they surface and honestly I feel like seeing Madonna live is a completely different thing from knowing the content. Seeing Madonna live is a joy and an achievement in and of itself no matter how many times you do, and whether you know the entire setlist and seen a video of the entire show or just went in blind, just being in the center of that experience is a priceless thing. This is why I don't find any value in the phone ban or spoiler-free spaces, because while I personally do wish that the setlist will be better and for Madonna to perform she never did or rarely did before, because I still wanna attach a visual to the songs that I really love, I still feel like seeing her live has little to do with what she'll sing or wear or say or do, because being in the same room with the Queen of Music is something I will take over anything else. Of course, I have my own criticisms of her recent decision-making process, but I'd still wanna see her over and over.

  35. I think the other factor is the venues. Do they think she is worth it? A theatre is not as financially stable as an arena, having to pay possible penalty rates to employees who are on shift later then intended would be costly, plus the reputation of the venue is an issue too. I am not sure if the theatres would be be able to fine Madonna and recoup the cost. It would depend on whether the venues see the revenue vs cost as worth it. If you looked at ticket sales for Rebel Heart, they were sluggish, she definitely did not get highest grossing touring act for that show. In fact she was 16th according to Forbes. She had trouble selling out more than one night in big cities where she had never had an issue before. It seemed weekend shows were fine, but mid-week shows were not selling as well and as fast. There were also big gaps in certain spots where normally multiple shows would have been added in the past. The cynic in me (and I feel you might disagree) feels that she saw the writing on the wall for Rebel Heart. TOAC was put together at the very end of the tour and she began building this narrative that she wanted to do smaller more intimate shows and change the way she toured. It was pretty obvious she was going to do a TOAC style show next time she went out. But I wonder how much of this was spin, as she knew she was going to have a hard time selling arenas again. It basically covers her ass, so it looks like a creative choice. But that is just the cynic in me. Not looking for an arguement, just my cynical opinion here, not sure I 100% believe this.

  38. If the production and venue scouts not only didn’t have all the technical specs of the theatres but also full 3D renders of the whole staging area for each venue months ago then there is something wrong with the team behind this as soon as the venues were locked in the stage design and technical architects behind the tour would have had those to hand and as the rehearsals finalised stage sizes (probably based off the original specs) then here would have been updated i can see maybe some of the crew not making allowances for weight tolerances off ceilings/ walls correctly as well as maybe actual lighting reflections/unanticipated shadowing / minor on location changes to be made, but certainly after whatever caused the 2 dates at the start of the tour to be rescheduled the whole production and crew would have been working towards the next venues ahead of time - she typically has around 3 separate full stages for an arena world tour that go ahead to ensure deadlines are met and delays don’t affect things something else is happening here I think, maybe her bespoke video screens are finally ready to go along with the wider presentations by laser projectors. There was definitely technology and concepts from the tour rehearsals that hasn’t shown in NYC.. and she said it wasn’t finished yet..or maybe she’s holding out for Rocco to agree to be part of the show as the only child not involved so far (I’m kidding here btw) I would prefer to think it’s a change in part of the show at this stage rather than the production and design crew are really that bad and hence the delays... time will tell

  39. Let's give her the benefit of the doubt. It's a new type of show for her and her team, there's bound to be some of these issues that will pop up - hopefully they will all be smoothed out before she hits Europe I mean, it could be worse, we could all be Mariah fans....excited for her NYE performance....and that's all I will say on that topic ?

  40. THIS. Stage sizes are different She isn't taking her floor with her everywhere this time they have to place tape at every precise place where a set piece goes for every single song so the projections are flawless Im sure she'll want to rehearse in the actual space until they are comfortable. The performers do go down and up the aisles. It seems Chicago has an extra aisle up the middle and two extra aisles on the sides. Howard Gilman is only 2,100 seats. Chicago theatre is 3,600 seats. Im sure the stage is significantly bigger considering the audience is almost twice the size. This will probably affect the stage pieces and where they sit and therefore the projections software. She's also got some pretty old ladies on stage with her who dont speak the same language. Making sure everyone is safe and taken care of is more of a priority than meeting an unrealistic deadline. This is new territory for her. Cut her some slack for rescheduling. Every other show she's done they build HER stage the same size every time. This is totally different. And her being late every night is a different story, no one was talking about that.

  44. The problem is that they make it LOOK easy and to you it seems simple. The set pieces are CONSTANTLY moving, and the projections are EXTREMELY precise. There is NO OVERLAP of a projection from the stairs or foreground to the background and vice versa. This is why theres so much tape on the stage floor so they can get stage pieces exactly where they are supposed to go. Just look at the arm above Madonna how it does not bleed onto the background. Or in the video below during American Life where the flag, the set pieces and the background all have different projections playing simultaneously working together seamlessly. If you think this is not complicated then its the illusion they give by doing it so well. Like a ballet dancer that convinces you that you can fly just the same because they make it look so easy.

  47. My first post in this forum! Just to answer some questions I saw in this thread, there were two Drowned World shows in Detroit (Auburn Hills) - Aug 25 and 26 ‘01. I attended the Aug 25 show, and yes, it was filmed. I remember there were signs at the door stating it was being filmed. By a crazy turn of events that day, I ended up in the front section, sitting behind Rosie O’Donnell who at one point had little Lola with her. The HBO broadcast the following night was indeed live - the Aug 26 show. Her hair was different the night before. The Girlie Show HBO broadcast was planned to be live Nov 20th ‘93 but that show was cancelled due to a storm, so they aired the previous night, which they had recorded as a backup.
