  1. Oxana is a scammer and a thief and we shouldn't be promoting her. It's well known now that she printed fake tickets to try to get to the front in many shows, now this is a polaroid photo of Rosie's polaroid, and she's trying to sell it for $2k on auction sites. And we won't go into her "documentary" and how she's exploiting fans who are ignorant of her antics...

  2. She also thanked Madonna on her Instagram for the Polaroid she was "gifted" the night Detox bought it. Detox saw it and commented on her IG:

  3. Here are some that I have found interesting over the years: Take A Bow was written about an actor Madonna knew (fans often speculate which one). Love Tried to Welcome Me was apparently inspired by a stripper Madonna met. Forbidden Love was supposed to be the last single, but it was scrapped and released on Something to Remember instead. A lot of Madonna's looks from this era were noted to be quite similar to Jean Harlow. Madonna was extremely nervous performing Take A Bow live at the AMAs. The song was never included in any of her tours until Rebel Heart in 2016. The Human Nature music video was inspired by the art of Eric Stanton. The Chihuahua that appears in the music video was Madonna's dog, Chiquita. Bedtime Stories was supposed to have a tour, but Madonna decided she wanted to focus her energy into her role in the Evita film. This special from the filming of Take A Bow gives a lot of interesting info:

    Madame X Tour | Chicago

Here is how it all starts. The main red curtains open, and a white projection sheet is revealed behind it, close to the stage's edge. On the right side, you see a projected shadow of one of the dancers sitting at a desk behind the sheet in Madame X's "God Control" garb and typing a message that, in its turn, is projected at the top of the sheet. The message is a James Baldwin quote about artists existing to disrupt peace. On the left, in front of the sheet, Madonna's current boyfriend dancer does a routine synchronized to the words that the "Madame X" is typing. The first time he does it, he "gets shot" pretty quickly. Then he is shot after a longer message is typed, and (I think) the final time - after the whole message is displayed on the sheet. Next, a waving American flag is projected on the whole sheet and the spotlight is on Madonna standing behind it. Since there are no stage lifts or anything like that, then yes, she just walks out on stage. Hope this helps!

  6. I remember someone in another forum said the mask she's wearing in the blue dress is apparently the one in the blue dress but it clashes badly. I wonder how the front of the outfit and headpiece looked. The handmaid look is definitely one that stands out especially one she removes the coif piece.

  7. Madonna was to work with Shep Pettibone again (who produced Vogue and the Erotica album) but they had a falling out during production. She switched producers and went for a softer sound. Survival was played on some radio stations across North America even though it wasn't a single. A tour was planned and even Wembley Stadium in London was booked for several shows but the tour was canceled because she landed the role for Evita. Mark Romanek heard Bedtime Story when the album was released and begged her to let him direct the music video. It wasn't even planned as a single at the time. Madonna didn't eat but instead smoked cigarettes while filming the Take A Bow video to stay thin. The first printing of the album came in a turquoise CD case and had her face upside down (as it was supposed to be) but later the image was flipped and came in a black CD case. The album was pressed on pink vinyl and only sold/given away as a promo. This item is super rare and is worth a lot of money among collectors. Take A Bow spent 7 weeks at number one and remains her most successful single in the USA. The over all look and theme of the album was to be a purposely softer project to help the backlash from the Erotica/SEX book era. This image was supposed to be the original album cover: Bedtime Story was the first song since Burning Up that didn't chart in the top 40 charts. I'd rather Be Your Lover was to originally have Tupac doing the rap verses. This demo can be found online (even here). All of the album's singles were on GHV2, which at the time was the only album that had all of its singles featured on a greatest hits compilation.

  8. During the tour, M has often been asking her beer fan his/her sign, and we all know she really is into astrology. Despite many sites on the internet state her rising sign is Virgo, she has often spoken about this in interviews. I thought I'd share them here, one is not a well known one... WTF. Did she photoshop this or did she take a Polaroid of Rosie's instagram. What a fucking weirdo.

  14. I've always found Madonna's mentions of astrology to be pretty cool. I don't think there's any harm in it. If you like it, awesome. If you don't, that's great, too. Personally, I think there's some truth to it.

That’s the same as Rosie’s pic (i assume a copy and not the original). I understood the show 4 Polaroid went to 2 sisters from Nashville but Detox did contribute towards it.

  17. I think Bruce Springsteen's On Broadway tour would be a good comparison in terms of the scale and intentions of this tour. Springsteen amassed $113,058,952 form 236 shows in 2018, averaging $479,063 per show. Not to shabby! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Springsteen_on_Broadway At present, M is averaging $601,985 per show, but as already noted by others above, that number could've been higher as we know every show isn't selling out, and some tickets are reportedly being sold under face value. That said, Live Nation, Guy Oseary and M clearly know what they're doing - the price of tickets, intimate venues, set list and showtimes are only likely to appeal to those most ardent and committed fans. This is not the Sticky & Sweet Tour, designed to sweep the most amount of money by appealing to the broadest and largest audience possible. It's an experimental tour, within an already incredibly commercially successful career. So far the reaction to the show itself has been overwhelmingly positive, even if the process of buying tickets has been an endurance test for far too many fans! For some further comparisons, Janet Jackson averaged $448,030 per show, for 79 dates, and an unconfirmed total of $42.3 million, during her 2017-19 State of the World Tour, which was a far more comprehensive greatest hits tour, playing mostly arenas. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/State_of_the_World_Tour Mariah Carey took her last album Caution on tour playing 34 dates to a reported $7.4 million gross*, playing theatres similar in size to Madame X. *8 dates are missing from Wikipedia, and gross for festival dates are not included. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caution_World_Tour Madame X won't be the commercial high-point of M's career, but that's fine - it was never intended to be - but it's already being noted as a creative stand-out. & if M ever wanted to go big and rake in the most amount of cash possible, she could easily do what Springsteen did in 2016 with the River Tour - a 35th Anniversary revival tour for his 1980 album The River. Imagine if M did a 2020 30th Anniversary tour of the Immaculate Collection. The general public would go nuts for it! It would easily be the biggest tour of her career. But maybe that's just not her style... Either way, it's great to hear so many positive reviews of Madame X, and taking these kinds of commercial and creative risks can only reflect positively on her legacy as an artist. Go M!

  20. So not true. They aren't going to shoot a split second of a look film wise and then say "that's a wrap." There's bound to be outtakes, minutes of the look setting in poses as seen briefly. There's even photos we haven't seen yet apparently so the few shots or seconds in the doc isn't all that was filmed. It's not conspiracy but just how things are shot and done with shoots. Even the Martha Graham look has multiple angles and sequences.

  21. No it was on her own Instagram, a file sitting next to her. :'( I kept wishing for those to become something, since those were clearly well designed outfits and sets and it's a shame that the whole Madame X persona was not fleshed out. I feel like they planned for more music videos and it's sad that it just ended up being a trailer and some short documentary where she repeats the same things we've heard a thousand times in recent interviews. :'( :'( Yeah. I wish it didn't just end up being small segments in the documentary... It could've made amazing music videos.

  22. I BELIEVE that the right side up cover was actually a mistake. I heard that when the album was being pressed they thought her face was supposed to be right side up but they were corrected that Madonna's face was supposed to be upside down. The pressings which followed were upside down. I haven't seen any recent pressings, but I think it's odd that they would be printing them right side up since that's not what M intended.

  23. Few months back, Madonna shared a photo on Instagram/stories and this was shown right on the table in front of her, so I cropped the image and flipped it to properly see. First I thought it’s the tour book but now we know that’s not the case, so what the hell was this mean to be and is it every coming? It could be a tour itinerary but I’m surprised that such a beautiful images (despite the horrendous font) never surfaced in proper resolution or was seen again on any product.

  31. It’s also weird to me that she sells tix to her screenings in every city, and she just added a new go fund me link to her website asking for more money from fans for another exploitative documentary of nothing. How does she have the likeness rights to do all this??? It’s very scammy and shady. I’m almost certain that photo of her with the Polaroid is photoshopped as well. This seriously needs to be brought to madonna’s legal team’s attention... they need to be banned from shows.

  32. Fascinating. Thanks for this thread. My vote went to the second choice....I believe in the sign description aspect but not the horoscope prediction part (I prefer some (not all) Tarot more for that).

  33. I will rate it 3 stars. Nothing exceptional, but not that bad either. Some of the outfits look like rags, the setlist is very short too (lots of talking, interludes and instrument solos). The autotune is EXCESSIVE and annoying, to the point you cant enjoy the songs. This needs to STOP.

  34. Does she still do the kick and everything? I was pretty impressed with how fluid the routine was at Pride. She was moving like her old self again, rather than Rebel Heart Tour era choreography.

The projections sheet is lifted and she starts a routine with her dancers very similar to the one she did at the NYC Pride, just in different costumes. As described already by some users, she wears some sort of Washington-inspired outfit. The dancers I thought were all over the place, with some looking like pirates, others like disco dancers etc. A chopped up God Control video is the backdrop.

  36. If she chooses not to, doubt a petition would do anythings. Fans have let her and Oseary know about wanting BAT and RIT released and they've given runaround answers on many occasions. She's going to release it either as traditionally as a physical release or something like a live show from Olympia for MDNA/TOAC Miami. She's probably waiting for later in the tour when either she's perfected things, changed it up or nearing the end to finally get it documented. But we'll for sure get footage from multiple nights.

Yes! It's a colonial (?) hat. She showed the outfit a few times on her Instagram stories. What I actually want to know is how's the entrance? Does she just walk to the center of the stage?

  39. I for a second thought we'd get a visual album to an extent with how much she was filming before the era began and during it but it seems like it just ended and off to the tour. There's a lot we haven't seen for sure but doubt it unless she chooses to upload something or her photographers who often share a one off outtake since everything was secure this time around.

    Rain x I'll Remember

song - I’ll remember MV - Rain It took me many years to see the raunchy lyrical content of Rain and even then I forget that interpretation when I listen to the song. Ajay pointed out how on the nose the sex references are in the song on her new Erotica album reaction. is it really that rude...?
