  3. OFF TOPIC: Sorry, it's just a gossip, I don't think this shit deserves a proper own thread, at the same time it's a quite a singular story Brigitte Nielsen says slapped Madonna and spent the night with Penn in 1987 https://www.dailymail.co.uk/video/tvshowbiz/video-2046792/Video-Brigitte-Nielsen-says-slapped-Madonna-rude.html

  5. I wasn't fan in 1985 but I can remember something clearly: She was everywhere all the time. Radio, tv, cinema, magazines, newspapers... I even saw the videoclips "Material Girl" and "Dress you Up" at the cinema (why these videoclips aren't available on 4k if they were screened at the cinema? Many collectors must have the 35mm). "Like a Virgin" is not my favorite album but I love it because It brings me back so many good memories... Edit: I find more info about the videoclips in 35mm:

  6. Anybody going the 14th? Just got last minute tickets. Wanted to see the show from the Center Mezzanine, since my tickets on the 17th are in the way back on the left.

  7. So excited for you!! ???✨?

  8. They all represent the album concept and content well... I would mention SOMETHING TO REMEMBER! Except maybe Madame X. The Martha Graham story has nothing to do with the sound of the album and the manifesto has nothing to do with the songs meaning, except for the fact that the songs are put together incoherently like Madame x personalities...

  9. Love her reaction. Crazy to hear someone listen to such iconic songs for the first time!

  10. Happy Anniversary to LAV. This album has always said "fun" to me. I love it all but my ultimate favorite song on it is "Dress You Up". I also love "Angel" and "Into The Groove". I could watch all the videos over and over. So iconic!

  12. The last two nights of reactions from twitter have been so much better. She does so much better with a 10:30 start time. thanks @SimonVenekeoand company... BY MADONNATRIBE · NOVEMBER 11, 2019 The final Madame X theatre show at The Colosseum at Ceasars Palace started right on time at 10:30 last night. The ticket stub was purple. The fans attending report that it was a fantastic show, with Madonna blowing the crowd away despite still suffering for a cold, which you were easily able to tell as he made no effort to hide that she’s sick; she kept the conversation rolling and her vocals were in fine form even with her cold; the audience sent love back, standing for almost the entire show, awake and alive. Last night the Polaroid selfie went to Hilda, a Bay Area fan who works as security. There were other bids for it after Madonna accepted Hilda’s money so she brushed them off a bit. The beer bitch moment was at what is seems the new standard location – the stairs coming down from the stage – and Madonna was handed the glass of beer by Mark, a common mutual friend of many. Mark got a moment to speak with her and also shared a great story of his husband who passed. Madonna have her condolences and dedicated Extreme Occident to him. The Madame X Tour has now left Las Vegas; next stop: The Wiltern in Los Angeles, with the first show on Wednesday night and the last one on November 25. Thanks to Simon, Elia, Juan and Matt from the MadonnaTribe Forum.

  14. I love the excuses people will make for her in order to defend her. They sure as hell wouldn't cut other people slack but since it's the Queen, it's excusable, she's been doing it since [insert tour name here], you're not a real fan, you waited all night what's another hour or two? Fine, you'll wait for her but the general public won't and to a degree she needs more besides her fans who will defend her no matter what to keep on touring and making this investments on her feasible. But you're right, we should just let her do what she wants because she's a Queen. (eyeroll)

  15. Vote now. Personally I love: Erotica, Ray of Light, and MDNA. The worst might be Hard Candy and Rebel Heart.

  17. The guitar picks were on the store for a short time but have been removed. It’s so frustrating that between the UK and US store there’s different availability of merchandise and sizing. The black long sleeve has been removed from the US store, and unfortunately the UK store doesn’t ship outside of the UK as far as I remember. I’m kinda kicking myself and I shouldn’t have waited to see if I could get it at the show.

  18. Well. Probably the best we'll get 35th anniversary-wise.

  19. Just wanted to let you know that the Madonna UK shop now features many Madame X Tour accessories!! Including the guitar picks which are not available in the US store. Not t-shirts, unfortunately. Some prices are lower than the other store.

  20. Madonna for 'best'. The last few have been a little 'does this sound hip' ? Especially American Life. She was thinking she was Margo in To The Manor Born @ the time ?

  27. It was most likely only released first and in Mar/April due to At Close Range. Had it not been attached to that movie my guess would be PDP would have been the official lead single and LTT might have come second. But that's just a guess, she seemed to like releasing a kicker first and rarely released ballads as a lead single. I think you are right, while LTT was always going to be on the album, when that single was released the album hadn't even been completed yet, but I would also suggest WB wasn't going to pass up an opportunity to promote any upcoming Madonna release.

  28. Supposedly Michael Jackson asked Prince for some 'advice'. Which was to do Elvis he said. His comeback was to do a stripped down hits show but on TV 'live'. The one where he's in black leather, I think ? The Press/Internet is having a field day and I suspect some guy may just get their P45 too. I have asked if anyone's ever heard Lou Reed's Metal Machine Music ? He was 'allegedly' asked him for Something Commercial for his next album. And delivered 4 sides of what I can only describe as an orgy down at the phone exchange. Walk On The Wild Side it is not. David Bowie confused them critics with his Tin Machine 'band' too. Basically there's several BIG music names who have killed their careers and bounced back no problem. Whatever she does, I hope there's never any more 'featuring' going on. My attempt at some 'humour' has got two replies...on Youtube.

  32. So bored of people trying to justify why she is so bloody late.. read in a interview that she wakes up at 11:00 and goes to bed at 4.00 am. she just needs to get a normal routine go to bed at 23:00 and wake up at 7:00.

  36. She’s detached from reality and modern audience and she’s surrounded by people who either don’t dare to tell her anything but “yes” or they do tell her but she refuses to listen. It’s such a shame because she used to be so smart, so professional, so ahead of the game and such a perfectionist too. Now I see even indie artists with a pretty limited budget doing much higher quality things and being on time and respectful and very thankful to their fans than she is.

  40. What shocks me is that she is proud of it and doesn't give a damn:

  42. So this is what I wrote on Tribe: Ok wow......That was a rough show. 12 am start time lead to a LOT of people leaving and lots of heckling throughout the show. She sounded like she had the sniffles so flu is still in effect. The Polaroid moment was all over the place. The first bid was $1,800, the second was $3,000 but the original bidder said it wasn’t all there. The third bid was ‘$5-6 thousand’, to which Madonna replied ‘You don’t know?’, someone offered their watch and then someone tried to give her all $1’s. The guy who offered $5-6 thousand was a pizza guy named Anthony who she referenced a few more times. The beer moment was at the stairs again. Honestly, it wasn't a great show for me in the sense I'm still jetlagged coming from Toronto, so it felt like 3 am when the show started so I was a little tired and unfocused and sitting near people who I knew would want to sit through the show and tell me to sit but has no problem during Medellin 'Maluma' repeatedly and saying 'Where's Maluma? I'm going to fuck him in the ass!!'. The best part for me was the person I ended up chatting with who was in town for business and then extended a day to see the show and it was also his first Madonna show! He knew about 3 Madame X songs, so he said it was good he got to take in the lyrics live for the others. And with so many leaving, prior to the show we went to the ushers to ask if we could bump our spot somewhere and they let us in the front section of where standing since it was completely empty aside from one person so one section over from our original tickets. So we moved up 13 rows from M to A and then during the Fado section when I was going to the bathroom someone handed me his tickets so moved up a few more rows in the 103 section. It was interesting to take in the show from there. Seeing and hearing different sounds was really cool. To cap off the night we ended up going back to our original spot in 203 and we both got to touch her!! She exits from 102-103 to 202-203. ---- Overall the show was enjoyable, the heckling was pretty common as I heard in Chicago, after Batuka when she's explaining her journey to Portugal people yelling 'Sing!', so nothing was out of the ordinary (as I say this is ordinary).
    1 point
  43. Again though, it's not negative energy. Negative energy would be an audience of people given free tickets that didn't want to go and make it known during the show. What she had last night was Reactive Energy, which was basically her breathing in the fumes of the mess she had created by her own behaviour. I genuinely hope the audiences grow more and more vocal about the lateness, and somebody heckles her brutally, because the way she's treating people who have paid a fortune to hear her. Most of the casual audience don't see her with your rose tinted specs, they see her as a successful singer, and they expect two way respect. Shes no Goddess, and she's not the elite. shes a performing artist, and we are her paying audience.
    1 point
  44. Exactly. To those whom think her behaviour is fine... Could you or your employees rock up to work a few hours late and get away with it? No. Some people have medical conditions that limits how long they can be out of the house or hotel for, theres no consideration. You buy a ticket for a concert and you expect to be home by a decent hour, and certainly expect it to be over before 23:30 at the latest. She's slowly killing her commercial viability in touring. I've a few friends who won't return to see her live again after late starts on MDNA and RHT. They're just not interested, it's mutual respect. It has to work two ways. She should respect her audience, because whatever she does during a show determines whether or not they'll buy a ticket for a future show or whether or not they'll tell their friends and family to bother. The proof of course will be in the pudding on the next tour... when she's back in arenas and either selling them out or selling 30% of the tickets and cancelling dates left right and centre due to 'logistical problems'.
    1 point
  45. There is absolutely nothing rude about booing and leaving because of her lateness. She lacks basic respect for her audience. I applaud those who did so, her attitude to the audience stinks this last few years, but more so this tour. They aren't negative people, they're people with self respect who wish not to be treated as minuscule. Those people have made the effort to go out, spend a fortune on tickets for her show and hopefully have a good time, and being in Vegas hopefully finish at a decent time and go out and live it up a little. She's disrespected them by coming on stage an hour after every other show has long finished. Im glad you had a great time though... hope London is way stricter.
    1 point
  46. It can't really be considered "rude" if an artist keeps an audience waiting until the early hours. The audience I think has every right to be pissed off. I love Madonna, but even the queen can't expect the sheep to be all smiles when she trots on two-three hours late.

  47. CANT WAIT for The Wiltern marquee to show Madonna’s name for 2 weeks! Yassssss
