  2. Such a shame. She sounded so gorgeous.

  3. What does having an opinion on something Madonna related on a pop music forum, have anything to do with climate change or whatever else? lol People overly defending her and overly attacking her are both doing way too much. She's late, some people don't like it and they have every right not to - others don't mind. It is what it is. Not unimportant and not the end of the world.

  4. I just wonder if you"ve ever seen this interview that was aired in Brazil, back in 2012 during her MDNA Tour. The the brazilian host ( and close friend Luciano Huck) got to chat with the Queen in Miami, right after a concert. The location was quite unusual: the bathroom of her hotel room. https://globoplay.globo.com/v/2258773/

  6. If she were more popular at the moment im sure warner would consider releasing back catalogue stuff to cash in... and the amount of effort they'll make is the amount of money they think they'll make. In recent years we got poor quality releases with photocopied sleeves from them, that says a lot...

  7. They would have to reach an agreement unless she somehow got a hold of her masters'. Warners did the bare bones collection of her albums after she left that screamed bargain release due to its minimal effort. If she stayed with Warners, yes there'd be some incentives but a member on another forum who knew a lot of the background of her situation said she does have to sign off on certain things to be released, not sure if that includes her unreleased stuff as well.

  8. It was Over and Over. Peter Rauhofer did Erotica. Apparently, Madonna - or someone else, never confirmed - had recorded new vocals for the remix.

  9. It is not a right place to post this.. but since the beginning of the tour it's bothering me, why didn't she include song "WHO'S THAT GIRL" on the tour set list. It goes with the whole theme very well!

  10. Rock stars are late. Divas are late. Live shows are late. That's the way it is. If it doesn't fit your schedule, don't stan for them, and start following a virtual celebrity on Instagram, always on time but oh so fake. "Not doing herself a favor", y'all sound like patriarchs judging the way a woman dresses. I understand she can be pissed with some fans when she's been expressing herself (and teaching others to) for 35 years and people still shut her up with patronizing comments. Use your voice for something that really matters, like, hum, climate change, gender equality, universal love or removing Trump from the WH.

  11. In my opinion, yes, for some time now. Firstly, because she always refuses to add more hits to the setlist and it’s most evident since The Mdna Tour. The last three albums have not been popular and a tour with with so many unknown (and unpopular) songs is almost unbearable. Who cares about boring songs like Dark Ballet, Come Alive, Future, Killers and others from this album if Madonna has an amazing back catalog? She could choose 6 or 7 songs from Madame X and enough! Same about Rebel Heart and MDNA tours. Imagine this for those who are just casual fans. Secondly, the constant delays. No one should wait hours to watch a show that is paid and very expensive. Third, in all my fan years (since 1984), I've never seen Madonna being so rude with her public. I’m so upset with this tour. I have no interest in anything related to this show, for the first time in my life. I was really afraid this show could be a kind of "Tears of a Clown", but in my opinion it's worse than that. I even don’t care about a DVD release. Sorry, but this is my feeling.

  12. Whatever it was, was temporary. I saw the errors, but it's working now. It had me worried for a second cause....you know.

  13. Are Madonna fans sabotaging Madonna's career? It's a rhetorical question. Yes they are, and they always have been. When she was more popular with the general public, their voices were somewhat diluted. As her popularity dwindles, the toxicity becomes more and more visible.

  14. I think she hates the injuries she has, but, I don't believe for a second she hates this tour. This is Madonna. She's always been a stage artist and a traveler of the world. She loves to sing, dance, and perform. If she cancels the tour, it will be because of her injuries alone and it will make her very sad to do so. Imo.

  19. Some Broadway shows are staged in even smaller venues than the BAM or The Wiltern, yet they have HUGE BIG Productions with revolving stages, things coming down from above, stairs automatically moving up, down, left, right, screens, catwalks etc... when Madonna announced the big production in a small theater I was expecting something like that. But, I also understand that those broadway productions are planned and developed months and months in advance, 8-9 months before the openings and they are in the same theater for long seasons, which means they can also change more things in the theater and re-structure things, etc. Madonna said on the opening night of the tour that the show wasn't finished, and yet months later she hasn't changed anything, not even in the setlist. I wonder what happened, maybe she gave up or came to terms with what they can do on stage

  22. It's sad that they didn't use that project instead of whatever Celebration was. And sadly, I suspect that Warner doesn't really care anymore and whatever was digitized was probably lost or deleted (and maybe that's why we keep getting fan edits or mp3 to wav converted audios when we get new stuff from back then uploaded).

  23. I think I remember reading on Madonna's official website that Tracy Young did a remix of either 'Holiday' or 'Where's The Party' around this time which was meant to be included on some sort of remix album.

  24. Yes, that's how "Your Honesty" was found by Caresse and other demos for the boxset before it was cancelled. It ended up being shifted on the "Remixed and Revisited" EP.

  26. I think that boxset is somehow linked to why there are no Madonna singles up on digital retailers pre-2005. The boxset was supposed to happen in 2004 after the RIT. Personally, I think they're still sitting on it and awaiting the right moment to release it. But that was at a time when Madonna's management was focused on her music, not her touring revenue and getting rich THROUGH her.

    CONTROVERSY

A large chunk of pop culture, including pop music, has turned similar to American culture towards assumed, deep Disney-fried fakery, I get the “Trump” correlation. Right place right time and in his case right money in Madonna’s case right talent. Madonna had the right mix of fuck you punk and fuck me disco at the right time when even both of those scenes have since become more legend and without a modern comparison. Even most “EDM” is corporate. On controversy, consider the gold standard Madonna wanna-bes, former Mickey Mouse Clubbers Britney and Christina both gave Madonna their essence at that award show during that song about Hollywood and really neither have been the same since ? and neither should have come anywhere near that wedding cake.

  30. See Alanis' Jagged Little Pill 20th anniversary edition: This new four-disc JAGGED LITTLE PILL: COLLECTOR'S EDITION includes remastered audio of the original album plus an entire disc of 10 unreleased demos from the era handpicked by Morissette from her archives, offering a deeper and more personal look at the classic album. Also included is a previously unreleased concert from 1995 as well as 2005's Jagged Little Pill Acoustic . Limited to 30,000 copies worldwide In addition to selecting music for the set, Morissette dug into her personal collection to include never-before-seen photos and other ephemera from the time. She also contributes a new essay reflecting back on this time in her life along with stories behind the 10 demos she recorded between 1994-98, all of which are making their official debut here. The track "The Bottom Line" is possibly the most historically significant-it's the first song Morissette and album producer Glen Ballard wrote together within an hour of their very first meeting in 1994. Ballard also oversaw mixing and mastering for this collectors edition. Madonna and Pat Leonard, YOU LIVE, YOU LEARN!!! Come on, it's Maverick Records!!! You come, you see, you copy! WE LOVE, WE BUY!!

  33. I understand where you're coming from @truerebel, however: I live in Brazil where the concert ticket price alone would be around $2,000 BRL + travel costs, hotel, food would result in anything aroung $8-10,000 BRL, in a country where the monthly minimal wage is $1,000. I got really upset when the news broke that she would ban phones from the Madame X, because yet again I felt left out, I'm sure other South American members of Infinity felt the same, we did not have the opportunity to go see RHT live and the majority of other tours, so please, don't just say "JUST GO SEE LIVE IN PERSON" because that's not possible for most people. I don't get why she doesn't come here, São Paulo has an amazing theater, plus, she has a song in f****** portuguese! I say all that with all the love, ok? Just sharing another point of view.

  34. So true! She was so kind and captivating, she seduced everyone. "Vi vo(g)lio tanto bene, tutti quanti!" Now it looks like it's a privilege to see her, it is for us fans, but not for everybody. It's sad that young generations hardly know her. I showed my singing student live renditions of True blue 1987 (for theatricality in a rock concert) and Everybody 1993 (for band introduction) and they were so impressed. They hadn't heard the songs before. It's time to regain a little favour from the public. I feel like saying: God, I hope tonight's show went well...
