She's injured and trying to push through. She's at least giving SOME fans the chance to see the show, without having to cancel the whole thing. There is nothing damaging or unprofessional about wanting to honor your commitments toward your fans and the people who work with you. And while it is infuriating to have your show be canceled at the last minute, fans need to see beyond their little bubbles. She's not cancelling shows because she is too old; she is injured. And that is no laughing matter when your BODY is your source of income and your means of creating. She is trying to deliver the goods. Why is everyone dramatizing and establishing these over-analytical diatribes as to what she should do, and the damage being done to her reputation? There is no damage being done. Injuries happen, and as a performer, cancelling shows is unpleasant and disappointing as well. People need to stop assuming things when only having part of the information. Stop the drama. She's hurt and performing when her body decides that it can, which is a struggle in itself.

I talked to another performer on IG in PM on Tuesday. They told me, they know London is confirmed at the moment. But also confirmed they also discover last minute if a show is cancelled. The most annoying thing is that the rumour of the total cancellation of the tour is a speculation that was basically born here. Maybe it will happen, but on Bible forum they are quoting Infinity. I wish @Fighter closed the forum again until we know more, because I don't want to hear any more people write the same message over and over about it. We don't know anything. We can only speculate over Instagram, which is giving a totally different impression that the tour will be over today. Honestly, people who say "cancel the rest of the tour and start a new one in stadiums" are no different than people like me and @Blue Jeanwho are still wishing to see M in London or Paris. If the injury is really bad and the tour is cancelled, I think we can forget more music and more live shows for a long time - because of the bad reputation, the possible surgery and recovery, the bad feeling that the whole experience might leave in M and the fans.

It really isn't that complicated should she choose to continue and "finish" the remaining cities/dates. As the concept and album was born out of her "discovery" of the fado scene in Lisbon, why not change up the show entirely and do it "Living room session" style? She could then mostly sit, surrounded herself with dancers, play her guitar, bring the band front and center...tweak the set list a bit and trim the show into 90 minutes. The fans would LOVE It and she won't have to continue to sabotage her health and negotiate with pain every night she has a show scheduled. This will be more than enough to redeem all the mishandling of this tour.

Don't worry @Voguerista I would never want the forum to close! It was hard this summer... I said "until we know something", which could mean a few hours or a few days. If today is the last day, we'll know in less than ten hours. If London goes on, we'll know in three days. People are receiving the first tickets in their smartphones and Ticketmaster is moving people from their seats to organize the set. Like there is nothing new. I'd love other members to know that hoping the tour goes on also means hoping the injury is bad, but not that bad to require an operation, and maybe M is just hurting and very tired. The cancellation has also very negative consequences. I don't think she will revise the show but it would be good to know in advance, if they start to adjust the impossible schedule by cutting a few shows.

Please please don't talk of closing the forum. I would be crushed. ??At the same time I understand what you're trying to do to stop anyone from making up rumors. I also feel and understand your pain if she cancels. But Know how much you do by helping us all and the joy you give by keeping it open so we can talk on Madonna and share our lives in the good and bad times. I love you all and this forum. Well, if the tour does indeed end soon I would assume her massage therapist guy will go back to his work in NYC and when he comes to my bar for lunch I’m gonna grill the hell out of him.

Preach, when I first heard about this theatre tour I had something like "Tears of a clown" in mind but NOPE.

It would be the best to throw out all exhausting choreographies and replace the dance routines by fan pleasing songs like Crazy For You, Take a Bow, Don't Cry For Me Argentina, Pray For Spanish Eyes, The Power of Good-Bye, You'll See, Masterpiece or TUTBMP. Someone should remind Madame X she's on a theatre tour and this is the best place and audience she has ever had to present her awesome ballads.

I dont think she is going to cancel the tour. But if you have ticket for a show a day after another think on a plan B...

Mercy's speech mentioned her "hip". Im wondering if she really has a hip injury, and she's not saying that because it makes her sound old. But I agree with what everyone has been writing. Especially seeing a MI member traveling from South America to Lisbon only to hear the show is cancelled... really hits home how disrespectful it is. Especially this being a tour that is less venues and requires a lot of people to travel to see her.

YESSS!!! Believe me 4 months is more than enough!!! They can change stuff like steps & definitely not in theaters! KYLIE did this last year & was very successful! Summer = holidays = people are crazy about concerts & music festivals! Unfortunately I know she won’t do this. ???

Wrong. The Dancer said that Madonna has a problem and "who knows" about next dates. Is different. If you are a dancer with a job contract like this with Madonna, you can't talk about infos like these.

If the Tour are to be cancelled or ultimately changed, let's just hope they've filmed the entire thing, and not just parts of the concert as previously stated. If this is correct, I wonder how much of it and what songs they have filmed for it... I just hope she doesn't tell us another secret...

One pure pop album, disco vibes but with more modern sound, no auto tune, no vocader, well maybe a bit but nothing too much, no rappers, no feauturing, just Madonna, no grillz, hair on a side, something like for her interview from 2009 for Celebration compilation for the UK. Lyrics should be more like Confessions/Erotica mixed together, it can be sexy but deep at the same time. Stadium tour, 40 concerts are enough, she does not have to proove anything anymore, but to just keep creating history, cus she is DA KVIN! Amen.

Then so be it. If that is the case, cancelling the tour, OF COURSE it would leave thousands of fans in the lurch. But something about irreversible damage to your body just gets me. She’s stubborn and has too much pride... but I think she’s a smart cookie. I hope....

I was SO looking forward to this concert. I travelled all the way from Brazil to Portugal just to be here tonight, and guess what? Cancelled. I had a pretty good seat, row D, so close to her. I'm devastated. Not to say MAD.

I have also heard that a lot of these quotes are fake as well. But, it is still a shame that Madonna and Mariah weren't recognized. I think it has more to do with them not being young, new artists. They're just not even in the conversation anymore when it comes to the mainstream.

Tbh I don’t want the tour to be canceled or anything, however canceling random shows is something not cool & very unprofessional... injury = unstable condition = more cancellations, so I feel it’s more professional to just cancel everything. Next is London... coz I care about her these shows must be perfect... PERFECT in everything. I’m not sure if she can make it. I’m praying.

It is stressful because I have booked my flight but too afraid to book any accommodation or anything because I will lose so much money if she cancels. But its going to get more and more expensive the longer I wait!

I don't know why but that suggestion of "summer tour" suddenly brought to mind an image of Madonna doing summer camp season at "Butlins" or something. I can just see the posters on the Promenade. Matinee Saturday!!

It’s pretty. Photo makes it look huge, but in reality it’s probably the size of a matchbox. I think if I get to the show I’d want the badges and key ring. Maybe the water bottle. Wouldn’t mind one of the tour posters but i think they were some kind of package exclusive, like the flashing bracelet. That said, I buy all this stuff and just pile it in the attic, which is already groaning from the weight of Kate Bush BTD and pop up shop purchases.

She was so beautiful and such a sweetheart here The Celebration era (if you can call it that) was kind of underrated, in a way: * S&S Leg 2 * 2009 VMAs * David Letterman * Rolling Stone Cover * SNL with Lady Gaga * Radio Interviews (Kiss FM) I remember when I first heard Celebration and thought it was going to be an instant smash, another Hung Up. Sigh.

Can you imagine we did? I’d love to know what goes on behind the scenes while she’s getting transfusions from some hippie dippies clanging bowls. It would be unreal.

She should cancel the rest of the tour. Cut the loss. Go direct the movie & get that out of her well-deserved system & then find something to be inspired by like Lisbon was but with better songwriters to help out, & yeah, set it to some beats. Come back at 65 and do an arena or stadium tour heavy on the hits. Also, maybe the right documentary could help. A Netflix? Doc just about her & her life & career throw in some remastered archived live performances from the span of her career. Express Yourself from the MTV Awards, Sooner Or Later from the Oscars, random tour performances. It could even serve as a sampling for remastered early tour releases which she should also do to promote her fucking legacy.

It is incredibly stressful - having travelled to Lisbon and had 2 out of 4 shows I had tickets for cancelled I can attest to the stress and disappointment these last minute cancellations cause i have tickets for London shows, and Paris, all of which I’m now scared for :...(

Perhaps Live Nation could cancel every consecutive night’s show? Obviously the injury isn’t going away, and will probably only get worse the more she performs, but at least a day’s rest in between shows would give her some time to heal, take the pressure off and let fans know where they stand. It’s all very disappointing but no one should blame her for trying her hardest. I’d bought 6 tickets to 3 different London dates. At this point I’m trying to see the silver-lining - think how flush I’ll be when all those refunds come through! Get well soon M. x

I talked with Daniele, the italian dancer, on sunday night and yes he told me "who knows", he didn't say the tour is going to be over after Lisbon (but I wish it is for her health). Le'ts see tonight what will happen.

This is unfortunate. She needs to do something about this issue. And what do we know? We don’t know how bad it is. I don’t think she should postpone the tour and come back to it. I feel like once Madame X is done, she’s done. All these different personas is too much for her body to take.
