  2. People are actually BEGGING Madonna to do Human Nature for once. 2020 really is some wild alternate reality type of shit.

  3. Do you have any favorite album that you listen to that makes you wish Madonna would make something reminiscent of it? I'm not asking for just a genre nor a remake of a specific album, but an album that makes you go: "i wonder how Madonna's take on this concept and production would sound?" Mine would be Grace Jones 2008 album "Hurricane". It's one of my all time favorites and 12 years later it still sounds fresh, bold and as inventive as ever. From the effortlessly cool tone-setting intro that is "This Is", to the dark, heavy and horror-esque "Corporate Cannibal", the album and the story it tells is perfectly curated. The albums lyrics are anecdotal, cleaver and to-the-point. The production is a bass heavy futuristic electronica blend with strong Reggae & RnB vibes. The more experimental songs of Madame X (DB, GC, KWAP,EO and even the tour version of Future) somewhat remind me of the Hurricane album and makes me believe the possibilities of getting an M album like it isn't too far of a stretch in the future. So, what is yours?

Human Nature is definitely one of the best moments of the show. The concept is similar to MDNA (with the hands), but the setting is great.

  5. I was there on sunday, it was for me an amazing experience because the fans were allowed to come closer to the stage. It was like a very small golden circle. I think there were 3 or 4 rows of people in front of the stage. Also the show glitch was kind of a one of a kind moment and we got the Elvis song for it and almost "La Vie En Rose", but then she said "saved by the bell" because the show could go further (she got this from her earpiece). Even though she came out late (11:05) I was expecting this so I came in at around 20:30 and everything went very smoothly The people of the Grand Rex are also very helpful, we were escorted to our seats individually so that was very good service because some people always end up sitting wrong. I know it's not OK that she's late, but I have waited hours and hours in rain and cold before for big concerts and even not knowing where I might end up so I felt like I had a VIP treatment this time. I was on the Orchestra (floor) 5th row (G44 and G46); this is on the side of the stage all the way next to the wall. It wasn't the best place because the curtains were limiting our view. So when she was in the back of the stage on our side, we couldn't see her. However this didn't happen a lot. The people in front of us (first 4 rows) certainly didn't have a good view and these were Golden Seats. I had the first row with category 1 seats I think. So paying golden seats for that view was not really OK if you ask me. Any of us here were at these places?? There was a girl with the "Dancing Queen" cape outfit from Confessions on that first row of seats. I think she certainly had restricted view. I think this might also be the reason she asked all of us to come closer. I would think that people had complained about the front row side views. It could match with the explanation that the stage was too big for the theatre. If the sides were wider, then the view would have been better. Also in between sections, the curtains didn't always go open completely so that limited the view even further. Sometimes this was solved again during the show. It will remain to be seen if she's going to ask fans to come closer every night. It was amazing for me but I guess there was also some drama because a girl next to me was crying because security handled her rough during the Beer Bitch section. She asked us to sit again but of course not everybody could return to their seats so quickly. So we were held up by security because M had to pass. I couldn't do anything else than sit on my knees together with all the others who were there. After this we all could remain in front of the stage. Even though I dislike the fact we got the short version and she's always late; I ended up having a good feeling after I left the show. One I will always remember...

  6. All Joe Henry errything. Joe Production, Joe Music, Joe Lyrics, Joe Duet. Joe session musicians, Joe legendary collaborators. Its time. Realistically to expect another disco-centric album seems unappealing.

Its live renditions have always been interesting, since DWT with the bull. These last two are very theatrical. Probably the S&S version is the dullest one, and being the song performed in two consecutive tours it became a less favourite among the fans. But it really represents Madonna, who she is, her music.

  9. This is insane... What a great situation... I will prepare a beautiful folded poster where I will write "PLEASE SING GOD CONTROL/DARK BALLET/HUMAN NATURE >> I'M NOT CHANGING MY SHOW FREDDY !" Next sunday (as a second night show....)

  10. I would not want Madonna editing her concert tours. She worked on both MDNA and RH.

  11. Very good take. I love this album too. I'd love her to do a jazz gospel album a la Kanye West, with Me'Shell Ndegeocello again and lots of female duets (not silly rap featurings). Mirwais involved, I always hope she makes house music with Miguel Migs and Dimitri from Paris. Maybe I'm a little too late, but she can still turn it into something fresh as she does.

  12. I was there on Sun front row right in front of the champagne bitch fan. We knew in advance that she will sit behind us cause the security guy asked a fan if he can speak English before the show started. The invitation to come closer was very unexpected and the moment David appeared on stage and escorted M off the stage the chaos began. People who were front row lost their seats, some girl sat on my chair too but sorry, I am not sorry ? so I told her: this is my seat ... M was already in her chair and heard what I was saying so she said everyone should take his own seat. The girl in my seat asked: But where should I sit? M said: sit on the floor! She stood up and I got my place ? So ..basically I was saved by M and after that she began with the chat. ... and yes, she was great! Amazing, beautiful ❤

  13. To me the best and most powerful was "Come Alive" because all of us there up front sang along and waved with our hands together. It just got a very good feeling out of me, the Batukas also were very playful during that part and were so happy. Frozen was very beautiful but I was a bit too close to see the whole with the projection screens in front of her. Also Future I liked very much. And for the dancing: Rescue Me is very powerful. I was right in front of Malik then. It's really energetic and artistic.

  14. Hotspot, the latest album by the Pet Shop Boys, produced by Stuart Price: Cool disco bangers and atmospheric pop songs. It sounds a like a bold and updated contemporary COADF followup. Less experimental than MX, much more commercial and an instant classic. With some lyrical changes it could've been a new Madonna album.

  19. Do you remember exactly when everyone got back to the front after Crazy? I remember going back to my seat during Crazy but I'm not sure when we all got back. It was after M said that she would have a word with security. I'm now doubting myself, was it during Medellin or before It's already a blur, maybe it will come back!

  20. I didn't have any problem. I have D29 (3rd row aisle) and we have a really good mood in my side. I have my seat empty all the time when I returned to my seat. We didn't have pushes and bad mood. I think the pushes happened when the beer chair.

  25. Actually, "Revolver" was 100% the "Blackout" sound. I like it for what it is (though the final mix could be better) but I don't know about a full album like that.

  28. Kelis, "Flesh Tone": When the first news about "MDNA" started to come out (dance music, Benassi brothers, Jean-Baptiste as a co-writer), I always thought she was going in that direction. But I guess it wasn't commercial enough for what she was looking for ("Flesh Tone" flopped).

  29. IT'S TIME TO OPEN THE VAULTS MADONNA AND CASH IN FOR A FEW YEARS. GIVE US ALL THE RE-RELEASES, NEVER BEFORE RELEASED AND CLASSICS THAT WE WANT AND LOVE. THEN TREAT US TO NEW FUN DANCE MUSIC (YOUR FIRST LOVE). REMEMBER WHEN KEITH AND JEAN MICHEL TOLD YOU THEY WERE ENVIOUS OF THE WAY YOUR ART REACHED THE MASSES? WELL INTRODUCE YOUR WORLD OF ART TO A NEW GENERATION AND REACH THE PEOPLE.

  32. I was thinking about it this morning. Like a prayer is my favourite one because it's the most mature and original lyrically speaking, I can relate to it a lot. For the same reason I love American Life, songs like Intervention or Easy ride are very strong. I miss such depth in Madame X, because the lyrics are too repetitive. Even the verse is repeated! Also, it goes in too many directions, and the manifesto can't justify this at all. For me the real Madame X album goes from Batuka to Extreme Occident. Her most successful albums are those which are very organic musically, like ROL and Confessions. Rebel Heart could have been a very mature album, but for many reasons she chose to not do a pop record with good lyrics, but tried to sound "young" and somehow ruined it. We have been talking about this for a long time. But actually many songs are good - Rebel Heart, Living for love, Ghosttown, Devil pray, Heartbreak city, Unapologetic bitch. But despite all its flaws I like it. I'd love M to follow this direction.

  33. Completely agree on all points. I think the MX version is my favorite sonically but the MDNA one is my absolute favorite visually. That outfit was one of the highlights of the tour. The perfectly executed striptease revealing that gorgeous Agent Provocateur bra with the extra straps takes my breath away every damn time.

  37. I just hope we have no more other artist features, no more songs with embarrassing sexual connotations, some proper songwriting and a project where you can feel her connection to the message. If that takes a long time, then I'd be cool with waiting.

  38. I think I'd too like her to make a rock album. Even when she sings old hits like Burning Up with her electric guitar they sound so much cooler. I'd be bored with another electronic or disco album and pissed with a hip hop record. However when it comes to the lyrics, I'd love me some honesty and details that make me feel like I know her, like she did in not so great songs like Mother and Father or I Don't Give A, only more tastefully done. I don't like her singing vaguely about love. Even Confessions doesn't feel so confessional lyrically. So yeah, rock album with personal lyrics and a variation of the way she uses her voice like she did with Madame X, save the heavy effects. An album I wouldn't wanna compare to anyone else's.

  40. Yes the beer bitch part was a bit of a mess and I think that could have been prevented if M just asked us to go back right before she came down the stairs. I didn't know when the beer bitch moment would take place exactly because it's my only show. I would have been happy to go back to my seat. However I was very happy I could stay, to see her so close again...

  41. Ok and did you have a feeling of drama and pushin in front of the stage? I read a lot of negative comments about people being pushy and rude and losing their front row seats but actually i think it went pretty smooth considering the situation... I have had a lot more pushes and annoying squeezing before with "normal" concerts from Madonna when we are front rows.
