  1. It’s been 8 years since MDNA was released worldwide, an album that came after a rather long break and was supported by one of the biggest tours she’s ever made, so what are your favorite memories from the era? What songs do you like the most? Has your opinion about it changed over time? Favorite Songs: Beautiful Killer Falling Free Gang Bang I’m Addicted Love Spent Masterpiece I F*cked Up Best Friend Favorite Memory: seeing Madonna for the very first time in my life after being a die hard fan since 1998, now at the MDNA Tour Istanbul. I got into the Golden Triangle and she was still on stage checking things, so everyone was screaming and she wasn’t paying attention, then as people silenced a little, I screamed MADONNA! she turned and said “SHHHHH!” and everyone went crazy again ? later during the show, as she was singing the second verse of Open Your Heart, I was near the main stage inside the triangle and she walked towards me pointing at me singing “I think that you’re afraid to look in my eyes” then she sat on her knee and continued “you look a little sad boy, I wonder why?” and she held my hand for a few seconds! I still cannot even begin to describe how I felt that moment. It’s like time stopped for me, like this is only my first time and somehow I get to see her in the best way possible and for her to single me out and interact with me twice and hold my hand?! I couldn’t imagine that in a million other realities and I couldn’t be more thankful. I was shocked until the second verse of Masterpiece later, that’s when I bursted our crying. It was the best night of my life. MDNA overall is an era I’ll never forget. It was incredible and the only part that I wish was done better was more marketing and more music videos. Other than that, everything was perfect. So tell me your stories!

  2. Madonna appears on the unique Collectors Edition of 'Harpers's Bazaar' magazine wearing a 'Jean Paul Gaultier' Kimono originally shot for the 1999 magazine's issue & now issued as a cover for the 'Kimono to Catwalk' exhibition which is celebrated inside with a piece by 'Rowan Hisayo Buchanan' which includes a small piece on Madonna. A UK only cover issued in 'April 2020' as a limited collector's edition & not available on general newsstands I'm very happy to get my copy, special now that everything is shutdown here in London Inside is only this

  3. That bath post makes me feel so, so sad. That Madonna "Magic" is gone, instead we are left with a shallow self who has completely lost touch with reality.

  5. I agree! She's still surrounded by assistants, at her big house etc. It's not her fault, but you can't compare her quarantine with the ones that we are dealing every day. Some people have only their rented room and they have to be there for a fucking month or more. As you said, other artists with less money but more imagination, are using this time to create new music, doing live acoustic concerts, researching and asking for donations, etc. If she doesn't want to create new music it will be really cool, if she sits with the camera and starts to talk about her memories, her career, the way she recorded a song back in the day, what the albums mean for hear, how was she feeling during the Madame X Tour... a lot of possibilities to talk about her legacy, memories, etc.

MDNA has a problem: the best songs weren't singles, and the singles were too weak (except Girl Gone Wild). I love MDNA since the first day. I never tired of listen it. I only skip three songs. And the MDNA tour was fantastic. In my opinion one of her best eras.

Visually this album is a masterpiece, I wish I could say so about the songs. The whole era was brilliant, though It was also the first time I saw Madonna in St. Petersburg Fav songs: Girl Gone Wild, I'm Addicted, Love Spent, Some Girls, Masterpiece. Bonus tracks are awful, I don't get why everyone loves Beautiful Killer, I never listened to it since 2012

  11. Oh here it is...I'm gonna go on my own rant. I love what she says here because it is true. The virus doesn't care who you are or what others or you yourself have made you out to be. It only cares that you are human and it can live inside of you. Humans create differences and feel they can control everything. Humans also created money. To form an opinion on one's existence as a human based on how little or how much money they have is wrong. I can relate to what she is saying because I have always loved that about weather. It doesn't discriminate. Of course I do not love the the destruction it causes but I understand what she is saying about what's horrible is also what is great. I am so sick of the talk of money interferring with communication, knowledge, compassion, empathy, thoughts....My rant is about money so I will end it here. Regards to Madonna I can't imagine how anyone could have a problem with what she is saying here. I saw her trending on twitter and was like "Oh no, what did she say that was misinterpreted now?" It's not really what she said that bothered people on twitter but who said it." What she said is fact.

  14. I think madame X needs a reality check... No this virus does not make us all equal, in these times it matters greatly if you're rich or poor, even more if you're young or old, the elderly are dying while the 20something are doing yoga in the parks because the virus hardly affects them! The poor don't have the luxury of having staff taking care of our children, groceries, or filming you for instagram. The poor need to take the risk of getting sick going out to get in line for basic needs, at the same time worying, not only about their health but also about their own future. So many people have lost their jobs. Governments (some) are doing their best, healthcare is trying even harder, I expect Madonna to do the same, but instead we get Madame X musing about the deeper meaning beneath all of it as if she were in a Parisian speakeasy during the 60's. There is a time for that sure, now is not that time. Now is the time to help, give money or supplies, help spreading factual information so people are informed and stay inside, let people forget about their worries for a minute and entertain them. Madonna always goes on on how important art is, how it can lift your spirits, how it can advocate for change. Well look around, everywhere there are artists, theatre groups, festivals, museums, they all share content, make new works, give away music, record plays, complete opera's are being offered for free to watch online, all to help people from going insane. This would be the time her art could really make a change for a lot of her fans. I really loved Madame X the record, the alter ego is something else though, in any case she's not the same woman who during RebelHeart gave tribute to the victims of Bataclan. We need empathy, solidarity and altruism, not self pitty! End of rant ;-) Next time more positive vibes x

I can totally agree about Falling Free and the music videos and also the cohesiveness! The album had so much potential for more music videos for Masterpiece (which won a freaking Golden Globe) and I’m Addicted, or perhaps a short film for Gang Bang and Beautiful Killer. Love Spent was also very amazing. It certainly was among her weakest in the visual department, although the standard edition cover is among my most favorite covers ever.

Even though the album was rushed I still think it’s her best of the 2010s - for me this is mainly due to Orbits input - I hated Martin Solveigs songs and Superstar is probably one of her worst and uninspired songs of that decade- I also thought it was a fairly cohesive album unlike rebel heart and Madame X falling free I still think is a gorgeous and heartbreaking song and made me think she can still do a decent ballad and a song without auto tune or computer effects other songs I liked are I’m A Sinner, masterpiece ( would love this to have had a music video with clips from W.E.) , some girls , gang bang , love spent ( the acoustic version I prefer) for me the only downside was the videos - I mean they were all cringe especially turn up the radio and girl gone wild - to me she was really trying way too hard to look young and surround herself with children and ugly gay dancers ? the tour was ok but not her best of this decade - too much backing tracks and not enough live sound and the dvd was a mess ? that’s my 2 cents - feel free to rape my responses bitches ?

  21. She could easily sell out stadiums if she announces a farewell tour at some point and doesn’t make 17 dates per city, but rather only one and adds shows according to demand. She can even go for an arena and have a very similar production value to a stadium. Also, nobody is expecting a stadium tour tomorrow, so then whole “tour in the middle of a pandemic and her injury” argument is laughable really, because we most definitely won’t see any new studio album or tour from her before 2022 at the earliest.

  26. Stadium Tour HELL YES! Give me that larger than life production, hell even if she doesn’t wanna do energy performances, there are countless ways for her to make a mind-blowing show with dancers, props, screens and platforms.

  28. Really not a good album, musically speaking and incomparable to Madonna's legacy in pop, but some tracks stand the test of time like Masterpiece, Best Friend. I even started singing Gang Bang while doing the dishes the other day.

  33. I mean if Cher is still making arena tours at 73 and she doesn’t do that much dancing and theatrics, than so can Madonna. I don’t know why everyone’s acting like Madonna’s standards suddenly cannot rise above a theater. Look at Gaga for example, she announced a stadium tour of only 6 dates and more can be added upon request. Madonna can do the same.

  34. Someone I know who works at The Palladium said that he was talking to someone in production who actually said it was her hip that was the problem. That was she really needs a hip replacement but they’re saying it’s a knee injury because it seems less “old” and more like a dancers injury.

It's delusional to think she'll sell out a stadium tour again after her behavior this tour and the way she flat out wasted fans' money instead of just sitting and singing time after time. There was nothing wrong with her voice. Anyway, she was never going to do another stadium tour ever again after MDNA and she got sick performing outdoors in all the rain and other inclement weather.

  41. The only one I ALWAYS skip is Candy Perfume Girl. But Bitch I'm Loca is definitely second! Third is Runaway Lover. (Then of course the ones that many mentioned: Spanish Lesson, B-day Song...) EDIT. I shouldnt have replied before reading the full post by @Blue Princeasking which songs we avoid not because we hate them but because they have some disturbing link with our past. I think songs help you face the past, so I don't find any... I will then put it this way: I avoid the ones I mentioned because I don't want to find out that I hate Madonna's music

  43. U realise that it’s not a flu, when ur life and the full system change in less than 48 h as I said, and u don’t have a clue about the future. My bf should be on tour now, I had parties programmed with my friends for the last weekend. I remember to think where we would go on Friday and happy that today (Monday) I would sign a new job contract. Everything changed suddenly. We can’t leave home, people are dying and sick. I can’t sign my contract today and I’m running out of money. Everyone is suspicious of having the virus and everyone is affraid of each other. All of my bf gigs (he works in showbusiness) are cancelled and he had to come quick from Australia to Spain, traveling for 30 h because there were rumours that Catalonia and full Spain will be lock down and we were affraid for not being together maybe for months. It’s scary. I can’t visit my parents even if they are at the closest district to mine, because they are over 60 and I can kill them in case I have it. But even worst: they are still vulnerable because my father has to continue his job (he works on security in an hospital full of old people) and as a necessary job he can’t stop it (if he wants he will loose his salary and the family will not have income). And we can’t moan, there are a lot of people in worst situations. The toilet paper thing, the people fighting at the supermarkets... I agree this is exagerare RIGHT NOW. But I wouldn’t be surprised if the worldwide system collapse as we know it, counting as much things changed in my city in one day (and soon everywhere). The good thing: u realise how stupid are the politic fights and the economy when there is a real enemy to fight. U lear to appreciate every single thing of your previous life. How good is freedom when u can go out without problems, but we can't take it for granted anymore,

  46. I don't think Madonna will ever stop making music Stevie Nicks is in her 70's still making music. I think because Madame X is such a masterpiece it just got people thinking about her next album nothing wrong with that. I forgot about the movie she is going to direct.
