Since when do we cancel careers or releases because of someone’s views? People arent perfect. People make mistakes. Big deal. Is no one allowed to fuck up anymore? Maybe She knows things we dont. I dont know...just sayin’.

The media doesn't control scientific consensus. If she didn't have any doubts about the information, why did she delete it? If she was sure about it she would not let a social media "cancellation" stop her from saving lives. Honestly I would not go to someone that thinks illness comes from fucking demos for brain surgery. It doesn't give me confidence in their knowledge of medicine if they believe that. No, it should not come from personal opinion, it should come from expert consensus. I believe reality is a consensus of people with common sense. Outlandish claims without proof are conspiracy theories until proven otherwise. We are arguing literal insanity here.

One of the big problems with Madonna and always had been it's that she is out of touch with her privilege. She is tone deaf when it comes to realised how so many things are at her advantage and how money makes such a difference to the reality you live in. She wants to be supportive of causes, give voices to communities, fair enough but the more money she has and furthest she is on that tower of security the more distant she is of actual facts and reality. Also she find herself in a white saviour conflict that she does'nt want to admit. Tom Hanks was really honest talking about his experience with Covid19 and how he was scared but he was confident he would be safe because of his wealth and access to the right people. And this is an issue worldwide with this pandemic, the ones that can afford to call it a fraud or don't take it seriously are those that, subconsciously know that it won't affect them big deal. Of if it does they have a big chance to get better. Then are those that have no access to health, have families, have no room to isolate or able to pay rents or have the kids at home. There are homeless, there are people with weak health that coul'dnt survive a light fever. When you live in that privilege and you don't use towards those that need help but to justify more of your selfish opinions, you are part of the problem.

No one is calling pharmaceutical lobbies a conspiracy theory. But the claim that the scientists and medical professionals of the world are hiding a cure for profit is a conspiracy and there needs to be solid proof to justify making it. This is why the alt-right is so successful, a and b are true, therefore z must be as well. No questions asked.

Ok I have to admit I am really ashamed she did this, really. I can't believe how much she is getting unrecognizable. Correct me if I'm wrong but the results of his (Raoult) trials show the same death rate as everywhere else. Most patients got cured but that is expected without the use of the drug as the virus has a low mortality rate to begin with. I wonder if she took down the post, or it was Instagram. If it was her and she's "brave" and informed enough to post it, she should be "brave" enough to leave it up and knowledgeable enough to justify it. The woman in the video is a religious minister, and doctor, who claims disease is caused by having sex with demons, that scientists use alien DNA for vaccines, and that people in power are New World Order reptilians. Treatment is not a vaccine. And COVID is horrible. It causes long-term lung damage, heart problems, blood clotting issues, chronic illness and organ damage that go far beyond just respiratory issues. There is no conspiracy. Hydroxychloroquine has been shown to cause terrible side effects and not be that effective. That doesn't mean it's use shouldn't be explored (and it is being explored, carefully). But again, there is no massive conspiracy among the doctors and disease experts of the world. It's been made a political issue by Trump, who has a financial stake in hydroxychloroquine, and is desperate to do anything to detract from his absolute failure to effectively lead during the crisis. He lies at every turn and blames everyone else and this is just another example. The video by the "doctors" was a massively misleading bit of propaganda produced by far right wing media manipulators. One of the biggest tools of fascism is the spread of misinformation. So I don't think we should be talking about cancel culture for people being justifiably upset when this virus has affected everyone's life. Even if I don't agree with extremist reactions it's totally understandable. I also don't think anyone is really trying to cancel her. Most reactions on stan twitter are disbelief or sadness with the occasional meme thrown in. In other places you can tell that the people who are angry would never have supported her career in the first place. Lots of "always thought she sucked" type of stuff. With Madonna either people don't care enough to cancel her or care too much to drop her over a mistake.

Honestly as bad as this was, we have to consider that this has been a rough year for everyone, and she was already not doing well before the pandemic. I just hope she'll take a break from social media, the world is not going to stop falling apart just because she's posting every day. Disseminating false information that puts people's health at risk should not be tolerated and accepted as freedom of expression. People who support the use of this medicine are petty and irresponsible, cannot cope with the new reality of the world and want a quick cure, even if other people's lives are put at risk.

There are a couple of points I'd like to reiterate. Firstly, I was shocked that Madonna posted this, but later realized my shock was formed by my submission to the propagandist news feed that corporate media overlords have been feeding the masses. Who is right, and who is wrong are questions that none of us can answer at present. It is the massive danger of this time. Misinformation has been coming from everywhere, and the media is absolutely toxic. Anyone who feels that outlets from Fox to CNN and the NY Times are not seriously compromised by corporate lobbyists and special interest groups needs their head checked. Something to consider before claiming that Madonna is a lunatic. Secondly, I'd like to point out that Madonna has actually had covid-19, and she is a powerful and wealthy person who has access to the type of privileged treatment and information that only the elites are able to access. I've looked up to her for thirty-something years, and I find it hard to believe that she would choose to disseminate information that she had any doubt about. Thirdly, the doctor who gave this impassioned plea is not a quack. She is a practicing medical professional at a respectable institution. What her culture has taught her regarding sexuality is not a reflection of her ability to practice medicine. Do you know what your doctors and nurses believe about everything in life? If they had a fundamental difference of opinion about something, or perhaps a belief in a different God, but they were the top brain surgeon and the only one who could operate on your life-threatening tumor, would you refuse their services? The fundamental problem with this situation is that people have come to expect simple, digestible answers to everything in order to make room for convenience. "Shut up Madonna because this might hinder your chances of getting a single you are featured on to the mainstream in order for me to feel like my devotion to you is validated" is more offensive and stupid in my opinion than someone believing in demon sperm or that homosexuality is wrong in their personal belief system. You know why? Because this doctor stood passionately imploring the information to be scrutinized, putting her livelihood and life on the line, and doing so in order to save American lives. Whether or not you think the information is true or false should come from a place of broadly informed personal investigative work, and not based on Donald Trump's endorsement of the treatment, the doctor's personal belief system, or Madonna's choice to go public with her own personal views. IF...and I'll capitalize that twice...IF it is indeed true that big pharma and corporate greed lobbyists in government have been circumventing the obvious inexpensive treatment of this illness for the sake of pushing a giant money grab of opportunities to exploit unnecessary vaccination policies that allow a technocratic agenda to further take hold of the reigns of global power, we should be thankful that anyone is willing to speak up. There is a great danger to dismissing anything due to coexisting conflicts of belief that override the commonalities. I hope this helps to drive that point home for those of you who can think no further than getting a pop confection to add to your collection. P.S. From everything I have read, Madonna did not erase the post. Instagram first flagged it with the fact-checking procedure (a form of censorship that is becoming uncomfortably normalized without a doubt), and then hours later they deleted it.

She has built her entire persona on enlightenment and philanthropy, so she does expect people to CARE about what she thinks/believe. We love her but she’s not getting a free pass for posting unverified, negligent stuff, specially not in these life/death circumstances we’re living.

I didn't see anyone trying to cancel Madonna on this forum, people are just pointing out her mistake. I think that if this fake news had been published by Gaga, Britney, Janet, Mariah or any other pop star, many of you who are defending Madonna would be pointing out their mistake.

It's true, we don't, but it's also true that woman is insane (she is speaking about people contracting diseases by having sex with spirits and lots of Anti-LGBT' stuff). There are also tons of articles explaining how that particular medication is not good or useful at all. It's scientific evidence. Madonna is not a doctor and of all people she should know better. Without a doubt. She's just lost something wonderful. From the late 90s up until the latest 00s, she had this amazing warmth and humility about her, but I just feel like the divorce ruined her mindset and her supposed intelligence just seems wasted now. intelligent, warm, caring Madonna seems a distant memory.
