Say what they will, but, this is one of Madonna's greatest videos artistically, musically, and, what's more, it made people think and, imo, it didn't mean Madonna was satanic and/or didn't have morals, etc. It also didn't mean she or her music should be banned or boycotted. Reflecting on the video, Lambert told The Hollywood Reporter: “I wanted to explore the correlation between sexual ecstasy and religious ecstasy.” She added that the Black Jesus character “came from Madonna telling me she wanted to ‘f*** a Black guy on the altar’”. To which Lambert recalls replying: “Well, why not have it be a Black Jesus? Let’s just go all the way.” Lambert said the burning crosses evoked “the idea of appropriation, that the Ku Klux Klan could take a cross, which is a holy symbol to a lot of people, and appropriate it in a way to instill fear and horror and promote race hatred”. She added: “I wanted to turn that on its head.” Despite the controversy, “Like a Prayer” went on to be nominated for MTV Video Music Awards’ Video of the Year and has since been viewed over 163 million times on YouTube.

SO MUCH of the things she's done, we've gone without official releases. Why should she start now? Unfortunately she doesn't really care. She is going to go at her own speed, on her own schedule, by her own leisure. It is annoying af... but it is just something I've grown to expect from her. Sadly, I don't expect anything from her anymore. And whatever we get is a gift. It will come when it comes. Obviously its not some canned project. I HOPE its not, she's worked too damn hard editing this shit to can it. But it'll come. Maybe not #soon, but probably when there are no more filters available for her to explore. Maybe she'll create new filters. Some we haven't seen before! I wish I were kidding. I just fear this will come out and nobody will pay any attention to it because well... we're over it. But I'll buy it/stream it/gag over it. And I cant wait. For now I'll watch bootlegs of BAT

The RHT audio was overhyped before we had to listen to it, imho! They messed up big time! My favourite section, which was the Flamenco part when she performed Living for Love & La Isla Bonita, is the worst! And what really disappoints me is that they made a huge deal when they hired the team that recorded the audio for Taylor Swift and claimed 'what an amazing job they did'.... What happened to them? Did they cancel at the last minute? Was that 'amazing' recording lost somewhere on the way back from Down Under??? I mean, seriously, I could go on for days on end! Most of the time she sounds like her live vocal leaks through but is buried under too many thick layers of studio versions. WTF???

Anyone else really sad that she left Portugal? I know it's been awhile since she left but I always liked that she moved there. I feel like it's great for her to get away from the US culture and out of the usual trendy group of people she hangs out with now. And we objectively got her best album since 2005 when she left the US. I just hope this move back home doesn't drop her artistic quality back to the 2008-2015 days

This is an error on Amazon. You'll notice a ton of CDs at the price when they are in marketplace (as this CD is). There's nothing special about this. It's just sellers not doing their due diligence and not maintaining their amazon portal. In a previous job we had an Amazon store and I had to check prices regularly as this kinda crap happened all the time.

I went to Sticky & Sweet, MDNA and Rebel Heart: I loved S&S, potentially because I was very into the HC album. But the older hits were done really well too. The energy was great. MDNA was a disappointment. Too much music from the new album, which I didn't love. I get that the show was supposed to be dark overall but even feel-good songs like Turn Up the Radio and Hung Up lost their sense of fun. Like a Virgin felt like it was 20 minutes. I loved, loved, loved Rebel Heart. Perfect mix of old and new, great flow, etc. Brilliant show and probably my favorite. Can't wait to see the Madame X footage. I really liked most of the album so the set list intrigues me.

Extreme Occident, for sure! Hearing the playfulness and dexterity in her voice during the Fado section, which included Sodade at the time...Unexpectedly beautiful. Come Alive for its choir finale. I only saw the show once, and there was far too much to take in. I’ve actually come to the conclusion that it was much harder to watch Madonna in a small venue because you focus entirely on her, and can easily miss key moments of the grandiosity of the message and the broader visuals! With all the focus on her injuries even as far back as November, it was impossible not to imbue any assessment of her performance with a sense of diminishment. I regret not being more present with hindsight, and I can’t wait to see it directed for the screen!
