  6. That is SO true. With all the great looks she served us lately if she comes with a weird granny look for the next era i will be mad.

  7. She really likes to waste her good outfits when she has nothing to do but keeps her worst looks for her eras, at least nowadays anyways.

  8. Just Madonna discovering how people like it on Instagram, tripling her average likes per photo and having a blast out of it, without having to be weird for the sake of it. Music might follow suit in the exact same way.

    New Album Thread

Can we really trust that the same woman who doesn't record a single note without posting about it, now has a whole new album getting ready for release? Sounds really implausible. I think the only times she's been silent about something is featurings in other people's songs and live performance preparations. I believe that when she does make any new song, there will be no insider needed and everyone will know.

  13. Well maybe there are more reasons behind the scenes, planning, whatever. We don't know. Another possible reason is to take advatange of the Spotify algorithm, now they're doing things right. When a track on an album or EP is on Release Radar and performs well, there's a possibility that another random track from the same release is featured on Release Radar the next week. This happened with the "What It Feels Like For A Girl" release: "Lo Que Siente La Mujer" and the Richard Vission Edit were featured on some Release Radar playlists on the second week, I think. We'll see tomorrow if another "Express Yourself" remix appears on Release Radar.

  19. I had no idea about this. https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/madonna-song-inspired-controversial-gap-jeans-ad.html/ While writing songs, Madonna drew inspiration for her lyrics from numerous places. For example, one of her songs was inspired by a Gap ad — as well as her own spiritual journey. Here’s a look at what someone involved in the controversial ad received in return for inspiring a Madonna song. It all started with a Gap ad that received quite a bit of attention. According to Entertainment Weekly, Max Blagg recited his poem “What Fits?” in an ad that depicted Mädchen Amick of Twin Peaks fame modeling jeans. The ad garnered varied responses. While some found the ad interesting, others decried it as pretentious. The ad even inspired parody ads for NBC programming.”Our spots were meant as flattery,” said Vince Manze, vice president of NBC. ”If some people thought the Gap ads were pretentious, so what? They had everybody talking. In advertising, that’s what’s important.” The Gap’s use of “What Fits?” apparently caught the attention of Madonna. According to MTV News, Madonna’s publicist confirmed she drew inspiration from Blagg’s Gap ad to compose her song “Sky Fits Heaven.” In the track she used Blagg’s lines “Sky fits heaven so fly it” and Child fits mother so hold your baby tight,” slightly altering the former to “Sky fits heaven so ride it.” Blagg received compensation but not a writing credit on the song. https://madonnaunderground.com/this-madonna-song-was-inspired-by-a-controversial-gap-jeans-ad/

  20. These special Icon awards aren’t really given on merit, but who is willing to show up at the ceremony. Didn’t Taylor have to quarantine to be able to go to the ceremony? I really don’t think Madonna is going to fly all the way to London, quarantine when she doesn’t have a new album out to promote just to accept a silly award that will soon be forgotten.

I think people are just taking random info from forums. I saw a Madonna group post that it was coming in September too from rumors but they definitely didn’t have a source. Wait until Madonna says something

Rumor has begun to circulate that the possible release date for the # madamextour DVD will be September 2021. If this is true, two things can happen: * may Madonna premiere her show approx. For the month of July through netflix or amazon. * who is simply not interested in any digital platform and releases it directly on DVD and blu-ray. If so, it would become their first release since the virgin tour in 1985, not to have previously premiered on any media (such as TV or streaming) and released directly in physical format. What do you think?

  33. Its killing me shes not doing a album cycle atm. She even makes a pair of shorts like these look incredible. She could really just be doing an upbeat pop album with 10 strong happy upbeat pop tracks about being in love and overcoming all the pain and obstacles of her scare with her health. Perfect timing.

Pre-Madonna lo-fi but with some Hip-Hop influences could be a really cool genre. A full circle moment before the biopic.

  48. Not sure how this will work, but, I don't think I'd pay to zoom with Madonna or anyone. Now buying a new album or tickets to a new concert is a different story. Zooming With the Stars: Startup Bright Launches Ticketed Live-Video Events With Celebs and Creators How much would you pay to have an intimate video-conferencing session with Madonna, Amy Schumer, Laura Dern, Jennifer Lopez or Judd Apatow? Bright, a startup founded by investor and music manager Guy Oseary (whose clients include Madonna and U2) and former YouTube exec Michael Powers, is going to test the market for live, ticketed events hosted by celebrities, music artists and creators. Launching Tuesday, Bright (brightlive.com) is built on top of the Zoom Video Communications platform, which has soared in usage during the COVID-19 pandemic. Bright initially is listing paid events from more than 200 talent partners, with each session capped at a maximum of 100 participants. Bright’s roster of partners includes: Madonna, Ashton Kutcher, Naomi Campbell, Shawn Mendes, Amy Schumer, D-Nice, Charli and Dixie D’Amelio, Laura Dern, Judd Apatow, Deepak Chopra, Diplo, Kenny Smith, Kane Brown, Drew and Jonathan Scott (“Property Brothers”), Lindsey Vonn, Rachel Zoe, Cesar Millan, Diego Boneta, Tal Fishman, Ryan Prunty, Demi Skipper, Charlotte Mckinney, Jason Bolden, Yris Palmer, Cat & Nat, Ronnie2K, Chef Ludo Lefebvre and Jonathan Mannion. The individual talent set the ticket prices; Bright will keep 20% of the fees. For now, the site does not list prices for tickets. In the Bright sessions, fans will be able to directly ask the hosts questions and make requests from a VIP area. In some cases, attendees may be invited to join the hosts on the “Bright Stage” for direct exchanges. Among the first sessions are Laura Dern’s “Tell Your Story,” in which she and guests will discuss the paths that brought them to where they are today; Kane Brown’s “Record This: Nashville Edition,” focusing on the talent behind the hottest country music records and tours; former NBA star Kenny Smith’s “Champions Talk” featuring interviews with his favorite athletes; “Property Brothers” Jonathan and Drew Scott’s “Room x Room” on home improvement and design; and Jennifer Lopez’s “Skincare Secrets.” According to Powers, Bright’s CEO, the company has lined up more than 1,500 additional partners for future sessions. “Our goal at Bright is to create the biggest classroom for leveling up your life by combining the best of live conversations with incredible talent and entertaining learning experiences,” said Powers. He previously was a sales management exec at YouTube, which he noted historically has seen 20% of video views generated by learning and educational content from creators. Sound Ventures, Oseary’s investment firm co-founded with Kutcher, is a lead investor in Bright. Other backers include RIT Capital, Globo, Norwest Venture Partners and Slow Ventures, along with celebrity and entrepreneur angel investors. (Powell wouldn’t say how much seed funding Bright has raised.) “The idea for Bright was born from years of working to empower artists in connecting directly to the audience that support them,” Oseary said in a statement. His portfolio of investments includes Airbnb, Uber, Spotify, Robinhood, Pinterest, GOAT, Clubhouse, Airtable, Gitlab and Pearpop. Powers, who joined YouTube in 2006 about a year after it was founded, was part of the team that launched YouTube Channels — the service’s first run at funding content — with key partners. Most recently, he was senior VP and GM at CBS Interactive for more than four years. “Top talent obviously not going to [launch paid live video events] just for revenue,” Powers said. “They want to interact with their biggest fans and supporters, or support an organization they care about.” Other members of Bright’s executive team include VP of talent and partnerships Kaitlyn Powell, former head of talent at live-streaming platform Caffeine; Sadia Harper, former user-experience strategist at Instagram, who is head of creator and product strategy; director of creative programming Jeben Berg, an alum of YouTube and Maker Studios; design lead Heather Grates, formerly product designer at Pinterest; and head of finance Jarad Backlund, who previously worked in finance roles at Apple, Google and Facebook.

Can we make our own GHV2?

I just love these topics!! I'm very curious about your Celebration tracklist scamper, but maybe we should open another topic for that. I also got my own Celebration tracklist. Anyway, thinking about GHV2. I always thought it should include the megamix. The problem with this compilation is the huge amount of ballads she had in the 90'ties, wich were onmitted on this compilation. My own tracklist would be something like this: 01- This Used To Be My Playground (it was number one for godssake) 02- Erotica 03- Deeper And Deeper 04- I'll Remember 05- Secret 06- Take A Bow 07- You'll See 08- You Must Love Me 09- Don't Cry For Me Argentina 10- Frozen 11- Ray Of Light 12- The Power of Goodbye 13- Beautiful Stranger 14- American Pie 15- Music 16- Don't Tell Me 17- What It Feels Like For A Girl 18- GHV2 Megamix I like Bad Girl, Rain & Bedtime Story better than WIFLFAG, but if you include the megamix it should be on there. Indeed (and i love Madonna's ballads) there are way to much on it for a compilation in my tracklist, but these were the greatest hits, am i right?? I also love the heavy pictures booklet, great concept. I only never understood why they werent only pictures from her 1992/2001 period, but also before that. That concept would have fit better on the Celebration compilation. But hey, the artwork on Celebration is one of the few things that's good on that compilation. I'll stop b****ing now.
