20 years ago, Barcelona (where I am from) had the opening night of this amazing tour. It was the beginning of a long summer, and amazing worldwide attention to her return to the stage after 8 years. Happy times. After the show I told my family that I was gay. I was 16 and I never saw so many LGTBI people together till then. I felt included and full of energy after that night! Artistic, modern, dark and joyful... the DWT is still one of my favourites after all these years!

Don't you agree that she should have a major website update? The technology has advanced so much since she last did it that it looks dated now in comparison to other artists like JLO and Beyonce for example. All that heavy black must go in my opinion. A bright, dynamic interactive site would be great.

Ahhh that's so cool, Drowned World was the first tour I saw on TV (Live on HBO) when I was a fresh fan and to this day I love the stage setup, the setlist (even though it doesn't have practically any old hits), the production value in it... there are just so magical moments in this tour! Somebody told me recently that the stage was actually designed by an architect or something unlike any other tours, hence the amazing layout, no wonder! And speaking of Barcelona, I went to the MDNA Tour there (both nights) and as I was arriving there, all I was thinking was how this is the Iconic place where she opened the DWT and how everybody were dying to see how this new Madonna show would be after the 8 years gap! Of course, the St Jordi Olympic venue is just so freaking gorgeous and so well built, the architecture is incredible! Plus, got to see the olympic pool where Kylie recorded her Slow video hahaha.

I actually love the artwork packaging but I think the tracklist flows more seamlessly in chronological order. The Second Coming (genius title) 1. Erotica 2. Deeper And Deeper 3. Secret 4. Time has been kind to this tour. When you look back on the setlist Drowned World Ray Of Light Beautiful Stranger Frozen Music Don't Tell Me Human Nature Holiday La Isla Bonita What It Feels Like For A Girl Secret On the night however I felt robbed of hits I tell thee. It's definitely a place in time. How has it been 20 years!!!

Change the title and packaging so that it matches The Immaculate Collection and can clearly be seen as a second part to it. Along with The Girlie Show, it's my favorite tour from her. I love everything about it: the setlist, the arrangements, the outfits and the leaked soundboard is...magic. I'm a bit envious of you who attended the show, you were so lucky! I'd have given everything I have to be there... 20 years old and still so modern, it didn't age at all.

Let's not forget the first time we saw her create a whole new video just for the tour (Paradise (Not For Me) which was super cool & beautiful & also the U.S. cities that got to hear the amazing You'll See performance in place of Gone that was one of the most amazing things about this tour if you managed to witness it live! Great show!!! It will always have a special place in my heart. I even love hearing how different Nobody's Perfect sounds in each city the vocoder was always different some nights it seemed to be going haywire LOL but others it sounded gorgeous! LOVE DWT!!!!

I had good seats, but obviously is not the same energy as on the main floor... A friend of me told me that he literally was floating during Ray Of Light, because his feet didn't touch the floor because of the craziness of the overcrowded main area. Your pic made me remember that!

She opened the 1993 VMA's with Bye Bye Baby According to choreographer Alex Magno, he wanted to do "Justify My Love" or "The Beast Within" on MTV, but Madonna decided that they might be too controversial for live television and abandoned the idea. Nevertheless, "Bye Bye Baby" was chosen and performed with the choreography they had been practicing for The Girlie Show World Tour, since it represented the whole idea behind the tour

Causing A Commotion was a live broadcast from WTG so not really a TV performance. The only ones from 1986 to 1993 are - Express Yourself (MTV VMAS) - Vogue (MTV VMAS) - Sooner Or Later (Academy Awards)

after 15 years I still can't get over the fact they did the most mediocre video of her career for the greatest song on the record and one of her best songs overall

Rediscovering the joy of the song this morning! An all-time favorite. Too bad the remixes sucked the life out of it. There shouldve been remixes by Lifelike, Fred Falke, Alan Braxe, Louis LaRoche....something along those lines. A nice 12" extended mix wouldve been cool also.

I still miss two new songs like in TIC.

This is a question regarding Madonna's 80s and 1990/1991 TV performances. Were there any TV performances for the True Blue, Who's That Girl, Like a Prayer and I'm Breathless albums aside from Causing a Commotion, Express Yourself and Vogue at the VMAs? There were lots of performances for The First Album and Like a Virgin (but none that I know of for Crazy for You, Gambler and Spotlight). I do remember seeing a short clip of a La Isla Bonita performance at some point, and it looked like it was not from the Who's That Girl Tour. It must have been filmed in 1987; I've never ever been able to find it anywhere. Anybody seen it? And finally, were there any TV performances of Justify My Love or Rescue Me ?

Haha, well MDNA was still a good tour production wise! Justify My Love interlude and Vogue... at least better than what came next lol! But yeah, I agree, DWT must've been much more intense and amazing since it was a novelty, Madonna touring first time in a long time and of course, nothing can compare the energy of an Opening night... I went to the opening of Rebel Heart in Montreal and wow... the expectation, the excitement, people from all over the world, fan parties, etc... hehe.

But then it won't be a greatest hits I know people love the edits but I probably would enjoy something less radio friendly and more substantial. Different edits, single mixes/edits. Nothing of censored lyrics. It came out just on the time when CDs were hits and vinyl not, and nothing of streaming, so it suffered the chopping board big time. Few years later and we could have at least a double feature.

Shocking, they usually make such a great job at giving fans what they wish for, while preserving Madonna's legacy with care and intelligence. Her online team is awesome and not overpaid at all. Caresse and Madonna really had a great idea to hire such a brilliant, capable and deserving person all these years ago, it really gave Madonna the online presence she deserves. I don't know what fans have been complaining about. If that GET TOGETHER video upscale doesn't bring billions of views, I don't know what will. It's an excellent idea.
