I guess everybody here has seen Madonna´s story in Instagram announcing she is coming to Rio (I´m from Rio) for her birthday party. I must confess I´m really worried about it, because the Covid-19 pandemy is not over here. And parties (of any kind) are still forbidden all over Brazil (by the governors, ´cause the president is against quarantine). Every week we see in the news and in the social media local famous people giving partis and been cancelled by the people who cares about public health. Brazil is the second country in the world that most listens to Madonna in Spotify and watches her in YouTube as well. This could have very serious consequences to Madonna´s image here. Brazil is very polarized about those who support vacines and quarantines and hates the president (a tropical Trump) VERSUS people who don´t support vacine and quarantine and support our fascist president. In what side Madonna should be?

And if there’s mischief those artists are adults with a platform and legal teams and can take care of themselves. They don’t need randos to stick up for them on the Internet ? . And when it comes to litigation it’s shocking how few there are (that we know of) for someone with her massive catalogue. Madonna is very cultured and since her pre-fame days has had various sources of inspiration. There’s nothing wrong with that. Any artist with vast knowledge will draw inspiration, since the wheel can’t be reinvented forever. Also there’s no connection between Heartbreak City and Whitney’s Heartbreak Hotel. By that logic Whitney ripped off Elvis Presley’s Heartbreak Hotel ?

So there has been no mention from Madonna or Gomes about any documentary being made. We have never seen M editing any other footage apart from the live footage. No mention whatsoever. The only instances of the word "documentary" being used were the Netflix rumors that turned out to be false. So I'm really not expecting a documentary at this point.

My original post was making more of a point about collectors. There is music and videos out there that are really valuable cause they are sought after and desired by a large number of people. But these demos are not. They are only wanted by a small closed community so therefore they have no value outside of it. And yet the collectors keep them locked away like they’re valuable possessions.

Hi, Pud! I agree that we want as much Xposure as possible for Madame X. Which netflix could’ve offered her, but I *hope* that paramount+ has the good sense to bundle all of the MTV Madonna archive moments to augment the Madame X Tour experience.

that would be wonderful because thats what I think she missed in the streaming era. with MTV a new generation always got caught up with Rockumentary, Behind the Music or Driven or Back to her Roots, etc. they would always bring people up to speed and, its my opinion, that the absence of a new documentary since the advent of streaming, has kept her at bay with the last two generations.

She promised the immacluate collection surprises in November that eventually turned out to be JML and Rescue Me maxis along with some promo mixes. Hopefully we get the same with TB
