  1. https://mixmag.net/feature/the-blessed-madonna-6-music-k-hand-paul-johnson-interview ok so the Blessed Madonna has revealed that she has just remixed something of Madonna’s that is coming out soon and it’s a duet. A legendary one at that? So who is it? Ariana / Gaga / The Weeknd / Billie ? “What was it like seeing The Blessed Madonna alongside Madonna and Dua on the digital artwork? Wonderful. I mean, I'm a Madonna superfan. I think that a lot of the driving force of that and part of the reason I related to her so much, especially as a kid, was because I was trying to work out a lot of the same stuff as a Catholic person. I really related to where she was coming from. She was certainly my gateway into dance music as much as anyone was, it felt amazing. I am forever grateful to her for letting me be a part of that. And that relationship has continued: I've actually just remixed something of hers. It’s a collaboration with someone else that's getting ready to come out. It’s a legendary duo…”

  3. It's not under the Warner Catalogue yet (outside of Japan) Crazy For You was acquired in 1990 for inclusion on The Immaculate Collection

  5. I don't mean to go off topic, but... What are you talking about? Lol she's a musician. She writes music on her guitar before going to the studio.

  6. I don't think "Gambler" or "Everybody" would have been even considered for "The Immaculate Collection". "Everybody" was not a hit and while "Gambler" did do fairly well in the territories that it was released in, it's not really a song that anyone knows. I think the only songs that could have / should have been considered for the album that weren't used were "Angel", "Dress You Up", "True Blue", "Who's That Girl" and "Causing A Commotion"

  7. Lack of demand? I mean, I had completely forgotten that Gambler existed, and I bet a lot of other Madonna listeners on Spotify would co-sign me. Also I encountered the same problem on Amazon a few years ago when I was trying to purchase all the albums/songs in MP3 format. I couldn't find Gambler on there, and had to download it through other means elsewhere.

  10. They could do something like Barbea Streisand's Release Me: a collection of unheard tracks, where they kept the original vocals but sometimes reworked the arrangement / production to make the song sound fresh and modern.

  11. If a small rock band like Garbage can remaster and re-release their 3rd studio album, originally released in 2001 with b sides, demos and remixes (including both commercially released and rare ones that collectors don't even know about) like they've done for their previous two albums (the 1995 debut and 1998's follow up Version 2.0), there's no reason M can't do something similar https://music.apple.com/us/album/beautifulgarbage-20th-anniversary-deluxe/1580427316

  12. I was searching for it today but is not even listed! At least not on the Brazilian catalog. I love Gambler... It's better than the entirety of 'Like A Virgin' album by the way... I remember praying SO HARD to all the Gods for she to add it on a tour... It would've it perfectly on the first MDNA Tour section! Gambler instead of Papa Don't Preach, followed by Die Another Day instead of that awful Hung Up remix.

  13. Hey, so as many of you may know, the Rebel Heart Tour is one of my favourite tours M has ever put together and today I sat down in honour of our queen's Birthday to take on yet another attempt at creating a tweaked (or even better) version of the IEM soundboard from Tokyo. I started off with the Rockabilly section because why not. It is based on the 'without speech'-edit. I only changed what I personally didn't like about it, so, if anyone wants to make suggestions, I'm open to them. I know that it's not perfect but my aim is to create an 'accurate' version of the tour one day, so maybe some of you prefer the official release and some will stick to the fanmade stuff. I do realize that the second night from Tokyo may be better vocally (a fact that I will reconsider when tweaking 'Burning Up') but the overall quality of the first night is far superior. [Hidden Content] Edits made include: fixed timing at the beginning of Body Shop No interrupting by answering the cue at the start of True Blue No random 'what?' during the first verse of True Blue No (weird) Japanese phrases at the end No shoutout to """Stanley""" during the start of Deeper & Deeper (my brain just couldn't process why she would do that, anyway) — I always hated it!! Enhanced guitar solo after the breakdown Fixed vocal when she loses her voice/gets tired and whispers 'more than I know' Boosted vocals during some parts throughout the whole thing HBC & LAV are going to stay untouched because there are no weird mishaps to my knowledge but as I said, I'm open to suggestions. Thanks for checking out my edit!

  15. Yea but after being in the studio for 40 years and writing a considerable amount of songs and everything else she’s done you certainly are a Musician and have a fine tuned ear. But then again, we’re talking about a woman that plays records on a $50 turntable from Urban Outfitters ?

  16. Gambler was considered to be included on Celebration, Warner made a remix edit of the Extended Remix especially for this compilation but it was discarded.

  22. This. "Crazy For You" is Warner, but "Gambler" isn't. The "Vision Quest" soundtrack is available on digital stores since 2019 or so, but not on streaming and that's Geffen (Universal)'s decision.

  23. They look almost digitally painted. You can't turn grain or pixels into calculations of what should be there and still have it appear organic.

  24. I'm thinking they're gonna go by anniversary for these releases? So maybe it'll look something like this: 2022: -Who's that girl tour 35th Anniversary bluray - Confessions Tour 15th anniversary bluray - Erotica 30th 2023: -Madonna 40th - Girlie Show 30th - American life 20th (?) -Ray of light 25th - Hard Candy 15th 2024: - Like a Virgin 40th (+ Virgin tour?) - Like a prayer 35th - Bedtime stories 30th - Reinvention tour 20th - Celebration 15th 2025 - Blond Ambition and Immaculate collection 35th - Music 25th - something to remember 30th - Confessions 20th - Rebel heart 10th

  25. I would say it's licensing issues with Sony/Geffen but Crazy For You is all over streaming. Maybe one party was asking for too much money to get both songs so they went with only Crazy For You since it had the widespread release versus Gambler which only received a European release?

  33. I’m nervous about her curating it herself. One can’t be objective about oneself. She might leave out things she just doesn’t like. Didn’t she once say that Cherish was “the most retarded” song she ever wrote? Anyway, she’s not a musician or a music fan, so she probably won’t look at this whole project the same way we do. Just look at how she went about The Immaculate Collection. Who newly remixes their entire greatest hits album with their current producer? Well she did and it actually turned out pretty good. So maybe we’re all fretting over nothing. I’m just hoping to get digital versions of some of the tracks that have never been available digitally before: -the million different versions of Everybody -the alternate version of Burning Up -Open Your Heart remix -You Can Dance single edits And I’ve always heard that she didn’t really have a lot of unreleased material. I mean, again, she’s not a musician, so she doesn’t sit around her house making new music in her free time like Prince, Bowie, MJ, etc. So I hope all these bonus tracks are alternate versions and unreleased remixes. I love that shit.

  34. I just hope she’s objective when it comes to over seeing these releases - by that I mean if she doesn’t like a demo it doesn’t mean her fans won’t necessarily dislike it too. I just want all the unreleased stuff that’s in the archives and digitised so we will always have it on a cd - i could care less about vinyl and streaming and what order her tracks and versions are on Spotify ?

  35. You guys are so lucky... Janet is also celebrating her 40th Anniversary next year and we don't even have her music videos unblocked Worldwide on Youtube! Bitch owns her masters but what for since she's not using them?!

  36. But then the standard method most artists do with these expanded albums is indeed to include Demos, Early Versions, Unheard Live Recordings and Remixes. That's exactly what expanded albums generally include. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  37. Some of you mentioned that Kevin Gore will be in charge of the reissue program, and hope for box sets like the ones with David Bowie. No thank you! I would very much prefer a reissue program similar to Led Zeppelin, that also was done by Mr Gore. The SDEs of the three first albums were released at the same time, and Led-heads across the world cried with happiness. And the boxes are beautiful. Nine boxes were released in 13 months. A MASSIVE and successful project. Deluxe box sets still sell. Just look at the ones with Springsteen, Prince and Beatles. Thay sell like hotcakes! 1999 sold out SO FAST! (the multidisc editions) With so many outtakes and remixes, Madonna could easily do the same thing. Even a SDE of You Can Dance would sell. Just put all dubs, edits and unmixed versions in the box and BOOM, we'd buy it.

  38. I find it funny that Madonna hasn't been an actress for 20 years and yet people still bringing it up when they need a headline... guess there's nothing else bad to say about her, huh?

  39. Wasn’t there a rumour (nearly a fact, according to insiders/hackers) about Price remastering all of her stuff with Warner in DVDA format around 2003? Makes me wonder if those sonically improved versions of LAP (7’’ Mix and promo dubs) and True Blue (Remix Edit) are actually part of his work!

  40. They said they would announce the first release soon. I wonder what soon is in Warner’s world
