I found the idea of sorting Celebration into three discs with different themes, as considered at one point, really interesting, so I brainstormed about this a bit. I'm relaly loving this idea! The Celebration project had so much potential and I feel it didn't really meet some expectations, but on the other side, it was nice to see a good compilation of her hits. This tracklist really fits an ideal selection.

It’s not only supposed to be controversial songs but also rebellious songs about Madonna fighting against whatever is in her way, against critics, doubters, etc. Causing a Commotion & Gambler both fit that theme.

Why do I feel that the Erotica 30 Anniversary is gonna be her first rerelease next year? Rain / Fever / Bye Bye Baby / Deeper & Deeper and Bad Girl we’re all skipped. It would make sense. It’s her MOST controversial era and would certainly get the rereleases going with a bang. We’ve also only had the Erotica video remastered out of the five videos of the era. hmmmm

same... since she's studying her past i just thought "well.... she's on the Music era today" I see hardly a coincidence that the word LOVED is exactly on the neck as in the video

I think getting most of the big singles on digital and hd upgrades on YouTube is a good way to have all the hits all ready to go when the corresponding albums get the deluxe treatment later.

I dunno. I get the feeling Madonna has very little love for Bedtime Stories album. She ignores it apart from Human Nature. She probably sees it as a compromised apology album. It’s likely to be one of the albums that is skipped on the deluxe eras which is why they’ve probably released most of the content. I hope not though. It’s one of my personal faves and probably the album I play most tbh. It’s such a vibe

OMG AMAZING! I also like the idea of calling it "The Holy Trinity" in lieu with The Immaculate Collection. Would have been cool if they also kept that concept for GHV2 and called it The Second Coming. We'd have: The Immaculate Collection The Second Coming The Holy Trinity (third compilation with three discs for three decades worth of hits)

Like I said when all this stuff with the remix started, it was a very good move for Madonna to try and exploit it as best as possible. It has gotten a ton of streams on Spotify and when the full version drops, who knows what might happen. At the very least it has exposed a lot of new people to the Queens music. Madonna and her team handled this very well and I think it is encouraging for the future that she actually has Warner back on her side again. They did a hell of a good job promoting the Madame X film and lets pray that continues with reissues and biopic.

WB wasn't about to release a single for a project they were not involved in and could make little money from. They were annoyed that Vision Quest and DSS was stealing thunder from the LAV release and its singles. They refused any kind of release until radio programmers recorded the audio for ITG from the music video and began playing it. So they relented to the demand, somewhat. WB was clear - they never cared about single sales only album sales - they said this blatantly back in the day. Singles were there to promo an Album and nothing else. The bigger mistake was not putting ITG on LAV like they did in Europe. Though they barely needed help with sales of that LP in the US. Still the album could have sold an additional million or more if they had done that. Releasing Angel and ITG at the same time was exactly what they didn't want to do. ITG would have been the bigger seller, meaning less people would be buying the LAV album and its singles. WB and other labels were convinced single sales were eating into album sales. They (WB and other labels) even did an independant study that Billboard got a hold of (well part of it) which actually proved them wrong. But bullheaded, they continued to try to push Billboard to change their rules about physical singles and relied more on airplay until Billboard gave in.

I really like this. It would be cool to have something similar for her definitive GH coming with the biopic (even tho even just a well made GH would be welcome at this point lol)

I made a similar list years ago with a theme concept like this for her next GH. I love the idea of separating her ballads from her upbeat songs. Great job!

Not sure if this is the right section but would anyone be interested in having a weekly fan art contest? When i was part of the old MVillage we used to have a weekly contest to create single/album art. Someone would win and the winner got to choose the next album or song to do a cover/art for and then they would pick the winner and so on and so on. The winner wouldn't be eligible to enter until the following week so it would make sure the same person wouldn't be winning week after week. Anyone in?

Frozen and Take A Bow are nice winter music. And when Frozen has completed its Tik Tok circle, I think she should definitely try the same with Material Girl. I can think of many basic bitches who will want to use a mix of that tune for their videos of showing off.

You don't have to rank them, just give them rates from 1, to 10 (decimals allowed). You can give the same rate to multiple songs, and you are also allowed to give one 0 and one 11 though this is optional.

Her opening an Instagram account. Because of it she's been involved in several controversies and moments that have made me give her the side-eye, plus I think she's the type of artist who's generally more interesting when there's an aura of mystique around her life, which Instagram has kind of ruined.

Give Me All Your Luvin' being included in the Superbowl. Next to the monster classics that she performed (Vogue, Music + Like a Prayer), it sounded even more weak. It did not belong in a set with all those number one, classic, anthemic, worldwide smashes. For that matter, it should have not been included on the MDNA album either and certainly not as a lead single. There actually is a lot of great material on MDNA. GAYL is definitely the weakest song, including Birthday Song and Superstar. BS was a bonus, so okay and Superstar featured Lola so it was never an option for Madonna to cut but GAYL???? I still cannot figure out how GAYL fit in with Gang Bang, I'm Addicted, I'm a Sinner, Love Spent, Beautiful Killer, I Fucked Up and I'm Falling Free (note that I do not list any of the singles when referring to the great music on MDNA - Haha). Maybe without the cheer leader theme, GAYL could get a "pass" but I am still thinking no. I still L.U.V. Madonna and MDNA but GAYL was clearly a mistake across the board. The video almost made up for the blunder (as it is effing amazing) but it was a very big blunder.
