  5. You've got to give him credit though, he's managed to make a worse version than the You Can Dance remix

  6. It's so funny, I think she's called it that before too. We pore over every little detail here and she doesn't even know the title of her own songs ? Makes me worry about the back catalogue reissues, she'll probably miss out entire albums she doesn't remember recording

  7. Grillz, Extremely showing photographies with zero taste a lots of filters and retouching, artists are here to disturb the peace quotes here and there, no new music, bad instagram publications, and maybe preproduction for that bio thing, and maybe a remix of an old song with some new but not very good but very robotic new 2021 vocals. My dream would be a new album done with glamour, good taste, message, interesting and groundbreaking collaboration, and good vocals and catchy music and a carefully done tour with Madonna performing in the best shape is able nowadays, taking care of things and more natural and accepting of real life photos, nteresting interviews and brave remarks as she used to do before. And moments of homage to her own amazing legacy through reeditions, and all of that.

  9. Hi everyone ! Since we'll soon be celebrating the 40th anniversary of Madonna's career (!!), and due to popular demand, I'll organize a megarate for every single Madonna album. Let's now see how the tracks from the Like a Virgin era compete with each other. As requested by most users who participated in other games, non-album tracks from the same era will also be included. Rules: - Make sure to know all the songs included in the competition. - Rate each song from 1 to 10. You are allowed to give the same rate to multiple songs. - Decimals are allowed only up to the hundredth (HIGHLY RECOMMENDED WHEN YOU CAN IN ORDER TO AVOID TIES). - You are allowed to give one 0 and one 11 (OPTIONAL). - Send your rates to me by personal messenger before January 6th, NOT in the thread. Results: #1 - 9,56 - Into the Groove #2 - 8,87 - Dress You Up #3 - 8,47 - Crazy for You #4 - 8,06 - Like a Virgin #5 - 8,00 - Material Girl #6 - 7,65 - Angel #7 - 7,62 - Love Don't Live Here Anymore #8 - 7,56 - Gambler #9 - 6,83 - Over and Over #10 - 6,54 - Stay #11 - 5,55 - Pretender #12 - 5,25 - Shoo-Bee-Doo Good luck to everyone !

  10. In my country, True Blue is often heard during the Christmas holidays, mostly in Christmas playlists on the radio. Although it is definitely not holiday-themed, I think a lot of 50's inspired mid-tempo songs have a Christmas feel. Is True Blue played anywhere else in the context of Christmas?

  12. Song it's good Wouldn't mind to have another "Frozen" situation with this one, really. Obviously there's a ("Get" hehe) "Into The Groove" sample there. If it's not legally covered and credited, he's in trouble. I'm loving this new Madonna samples everywhere wave, to be honest. Keep them coming but pay the original writers, please.

  13. Apart from the obvious sample(s) used from Into the Groove, his lyrical melody flows similarly to Rick Astley's "Never Gonna Give You Up" leaves me questioning, is he Rick Rolling?

  14. Ok, this is the definition of plagiarism, holy crap, he just copy-pasted the song, didn't he?

  15. Madonna accuses Tory Lanez of copying 'Into The Groove' in his latest track 'Pluto's Last Comet' - check the comments of this post for track comparison. ?? Tory has revealed his record was inspired by the '80s, but nor Madonna's or Steve Bray's names appear on the credits of Tory's track. Madonna has also left a comment under Tory's Instagram post advising him to check out his private messages. Thoughts?

  19. I wasn't explaining it to you, I wanted to clarify because there are a lot of people who don't use Spotify or understand how it works and I could already see all the comments going "SHE'S OVER. THIS SHITTY REMIX IS #2 OMG NO ONE LISTENS TO MADONNA ANYMORE!! 1!!"

  20. As a fan since the 80s, I definitely don't expect anything decent coming from her. I miss the time when they filmed the whole show to be released on (back then) VHS, LD, DVD and not all this mess with cuts from hundreds of different places and, as a result, instead of having a full live concert you have a 2-hour lazy video clip.

  21. "Accuses"????? That sounds like there is reasonable doubt she could be wrong; she isn't. He's basically howling auto-tuned nonsense over the Into the Groove Instrumental. This thread title is inflammatory.

  28. I don't know if this fits but picture this...Hong Kong....1996....nathan Road night market..... I came across CD stall after CD stall, with bootlegs galore. I was so excited to see compilation after compilation of Madonna. The images of Madonna, some live images from various tours and some arty ones beautifully designed. I scooped up every one of those bad boys....and the next night i returned and bought more. My luggage full of these amazing items and couldn't wait to get back to London to play them. I now owned at least 25 of them. After a long flight home with my amazing finds on my mind, without even unpacking, i shoved the first one into my player, and the music played. I froze as some random female with a speech impediment and a Chinese accent blared out of my speakers. Put the next one in, and the next...the same female. I grabbed one of the cases and should have known....when i saw that "Like a Virgin" was mispelt with "Like a Wirgin". I have never got over this moment and was taught several lessons...

  36. You could take Bitch Im Loca and call it a Christmas song and it would still be better than Madonna's version of Santa Baby

  42. For this live album, why didn't they just: - Remove the film's 'intro' track (this is an album, not a film) - Remove most/all of the spoken dialogue (it weakens the flow of the album, and the change of sources/quality weakens the listening experience considerably) - Leave all tracks in full and unedited (e.g. the dramatic 'hat throw' pause in GC works in the film, but not audio) - Include Sodade and Crave in full, even as album exclusives (especially for streaming - runtime is not a factor here) - Ensure the transition between each song was seamless. - Include a couple of bonus tracks to promote the project (God Control mixes!) It's nice to have the tracks in HQ, but it was a chore listening through the album. I just want a HQ album with the songs unedited and uninterrupted
