    Madonna's artistry is not "dead" for capitalizing on a popular trend like any smart business woman would do. Quite the contrary, ever since "Frozen" went viral, her streaming presence is on an upward trajectory. To put this in context, she's about to reach 20 million listeners on Spotify for the first time ever, that's an incredible 35% increase from 2021. Her daily YouTube views increased by 27%. In barely 3 months, the Sickick remix already outstreamed every track from Madame X minus "Medellín". And thanks to this exposure, now teenagers are also discovering other classics such as "Material Girl", which is doing great on Tik Tok. How can anyone see this as a bad thing? She's even taking her sweet time to shoot a music video for us. The meltdowns are unwarranted, the original version is still available on the Ray Of Light album. Welcome to 2022!.

    Because that's precisely why she's making songs like this and the other absolute crap she's released as singles since MDNA (barring GGW, LFL, and Ghosttown). She's not acting like an artist who cares about her craft. She's acting like a trend chaser who is absolutely desperate to get a #1, no matter at what cost. She cares SO EFFING MUCH what people think of her, it's absurd. She has become the very definition of insecurity and it has ruined everything about Madonna that set her apart from all the others. There's nothing about her that feels authentic anymore, like this is the type of music or look she actually wants to do...it feels more like she puts this content out only to then obsessively scroll through Instagram comments and make sure people are still saying she's "the Queen" and have her kids say "that's so cool, mom". The very vast majority of Madonna fans are not looking for her to put out trap songs in 2022. Sure, it's a bummer to not see her at the top of the charts anymore, but if she was at least sticking to high quality GOOD pop music, it wouldn't really matter as much...God Control is a great example. She was always eventually going to move to either legacy and/or niche status. But instead, it's the worst of both worlds -- Horrible singles with a delusional belief that it will move the needle on the charts (spoiler alert: it won't). I'm happy for the few fans here who are loving this song. I'm happy for you because I so, so miss the feeling of looking forward to a Madonna release and the feeling of hearing a new song. But here we are with YET ANOTHER very late to the music trend release that's soulless and is an embarrassment to the original Frozen. If this is all really to get younger listeners, well, hate to say it, but it'll be the trap beats and the featured artist they're coming back for....not Madonna. She can continue to do what she wants to do despite the ~haters~~ but seriously, has anyone here who celebrates everything she puts out -- no matter what -- actually left the forum for a few hours to see how she's perceived in the music world today? Because her focus on being "nobody's bitch" has cost her almost the whole general public and a very, very, large amount of Madonna fans too. And it's not like these fans were ONLY Confessions fans or ONLY Ray of Light fans...these are fans who were there for the whole journey up until things really started to get weird with her. It's not edgy for a 63 year old woman to be putting out Gen Z sounds and becoming a Kardashian. It's sad and depressing. It's anti ethical to everything she used to claim to stand for. Us fans who are criticized for "constantly being negative about everything" when voicing opinions are still here for a reason -- We give her another chance, over and over and over and over again, because we miss the artist we fell in love with for decades. We know that old artist is in there deep down somewhere. We saw it with some of Madame X. We trust that she'll one day be inspired again herself by the same artist we all were inspired by and have a true return to form. We trust that news like re-releases and greatest hits and biopics may actually be an exciting turning point. We hope that she'll have one last pinnacle in her career that lets it go out with a bang. Anyways, enjoy bopping to this version of Frozen inevitably on the Greatest Hits Tour, I guess. Hopefully right after she gives the fans and audience everything else they want -- Kanye West on Hung Up, a mash up of Human Nature with Bad Guy, and the Blessed Madonna remix of Like a Prayer. Sigh.

    How the hell can this be called a Madonna remix... 1) Madonna is in 4 seconds of it.. 2) It doesn't sound like any of her songs.. 3) It's 2mins long.. 4) Someone else sings on it more than her. It must be a joke that's all I can say.

    The fact this remix was supposed to be an extra, made to just to capitalize on a viral challenge and keep us kinda busy during these months full of nothing, and you guys are overreacting and bitching as if it's a new full ass album made like this... Also everyone calling her desperate and uncreative when basically 90% of the whole fanbase has been asking for a viral song like this to happen for ages, now that it happened and she's embracing her legacy you're digging her alive. Spoiled brats -_-

    I think Warners strategy is The Maxi Singles release on streaming and digital is to placate the old fans and encourage them to stream. The new remixes are to gain new audience and if old fans like it ..bonus. The Deluxe editions will be for us old hags too. Pretty smart marketing if you ask me.

    This is the plan. And it’s happening already. People aren’t gonna wake up tomorrow and think she’s cool again. They need media and other people to say she’s cool again and create that image. It happened with “Ray Of Light” and with “Confessions”. She can have The Third Coming now, step by step. Media are talking in good terms about her since she changed her press team last year, Warner is now behind her and she has two viral hits. The wheels are moving.

    Lol but ageism IS a thing. Madonna is acting and dressing no different than she did in the early 90s. She's had work done like every young girl does nowadays. She's making contemporary music just like she always has. Her photos are photoshopped and airbrushed like everyone does on social media...the only difference is is that She's in her 60s. I mean, do people expect her to be barefaced with cropped hair covered up singing ballads?

    I think it's clever. It's not a remix nor a duet but Madonna curating artists sampling her music to make their thing with it. Maybe she'll add to the compilation that guy she went after on ig for samlpling Into The Groove. It's like what she did with Abba but if Abba controlled it. Clever. It's like attracting fanbases from these artists, not with a duet but an original track using a sample so they can check the track used by the artist they fan over. If that is what it's gonna be it's clever. She's not "destroying" her back catalogue she's using it as material to snap those kids.

    Would you be happy to be proven wrong, though? You seem to have it all already quite sorted out in your head - how terrible it all is and it’s gonna be, right? I don’t know. This is not a competition. I’ll be happy with whatever she wants to bring us, as always, and I’ll enjoy some things more than others, as always. But still, she’s never been nobody’s b***h. She’s doing what she wants to do - as always. And some people are in and others are out - as always. The legacy will always be there. This doesn’t change anything and if it does, it’s for the better: new generations discovering the originals. Sorry but I can’t understand all the hate she’s getting when she’s finally getting good commercial results and we’ve been complaining for a whole decade about that too. She can’t seem to win. Some people want a 1989, 1998, 2005 whatever Madonna in a 2022 world and that is simply not realistic.

    it's kind of pointless in my opinion... I mean, Madonna is barely there and this random guy is singing something totally unrelated. If they wanted to raise awareness of Madonna's music after the tik tok hit, they should have just expanded the song with more Madonna, not less. Like the original Frozen mixed with the tik tok sample.

    Firstly, I'm entitled to my own opinion. Secondly, I'll swear all I want. I'm not censoring myself for anybody. Comparing an album of original songs to a remix of an old song is ridiculous, Madonna is making a smart move capitalising on this. The new Frozen remix has gained 49 million streams worldwide and given Madonna new fans. Go listen to the original version, no one is forcing you to like it.

    I run a Discord for my movie/music friends but have only had one for about two months. Usually you send out invites which are temporary (have to be claimed during a short time or they expire) then you can send out some new ones. You can have members as mods similar to a forum and make sections etc. People can server boost your server to allow things like customization, perks etc. Making emojis etc. It's been fun, the only thing is sometimes it can be a bit confusing but as an alternative for the forum. This is an example: (mine)
