As for the subject of the controversy, remember that none of us knows the truth and we are here to comment and yes, speculate. Why did David wear a dress? Is he brave ir just seeking attention? Can we say he is hot as he is only 16? Why is M doing with her body? Is she ugly? Is she recovering from something? The answer is WE DO NOT KNOW. Everyone can have their opinion, but please don't insult those who think differently.

    I think there are some that still can’t believe a woman who as powerful and individualistic as M would ever decide to stop working out to death, keep her wrinkles, embrace a flat ass, and look old and gaunt for them. Madonna is doing no different others of her status that have the ability to look young. M is still who she has always been and is alive and still busy working. We should be celebrate that given we are losing such vital, creative spirits of the era she was born of. I pray she is as healthy as she can be everyday and won’t fall anytime soon.

    In an interview, Bettina Rheims said Madonna contacted her because she liked the book and wanted to make something like this with her. Rheims flew to New York and brought rolls of wallpaper with her to put on the walls of the Chelsea Hotel room where the photoshoot took place. The iconic hotel ket the wallpaper on and renamed the room "the Madonna room". Rheims also said it is the photoshoot she has the most outtakes from.

    Totally agree with you. Same exp. for me. The extended remixes have been hugely played in club, party and radio in the 80's. they were on the radio all the time. I attended a lot of dance shows because my sister was doing it (I discovered M during one of a show by the way) and they always played the extended songs (Madonna, Jackson...) The first time I heard who's that girl and Vogue on the radio (NRJ), they were playing the extended version. before buying the album, I only knew the extended version of Burning up because they only played this version on the radio. Like a virgin extended was hugely played too if the 12' records sold so well it was because people heard them on the radio and in the clubs.

I thought it had gone off by now, but - yeah, no. A foul start with a baby powdery middle, like it used to be. In some way a perfect scent to describe Madge.

    The bitching is not about the quality of the remix, is about the availability of the remix. The 7'' Remix Edit is available in every commercial release (and streaming). The 7'' Dance Edit is only available on a very expensive promo CD.

    Fine, that's your experience. Mine is different. I distinctly remember dance remixes, and I went to school dances in a small town back in the 80s. Causing A Commotion, Express Yourself, Vogue. Yep, I've danced to the 12" remixes of those songs and hundreds of other songs at school dances and in nightclubs. 7"es were only played when there was no 12" mix of the song. Eye Of The Tiger, I Love Rock'n'Roll, and so on... And if I'm not mistaking, Like A Virgin was a best selling maxi-single, in spite of the "dated remix". I think I read it in ICON back in the 90s.

    It's not a remix compilation, it's a 50 #1 compilation from the US Billboard Dance Club Songs chart (and many songs were #1 thanks to the remixes). And "Like A Virgin" and "Material Girl" were #1 without any remix edit (and EY was #1 thanks to the house remix). And believe me, talking about LAV or MG, I prefer the remix/edits created from the extended versions than the album versions.
