  1. It’s clearly an homage to Madonna’s Vogue and drag culture. The negative crap some Madonna fans spin is ridiculous. ANYWAY I am loving it! I bet this pushes the song to #1.

  4. Madonna journey with the gay community has been authentic and lived through. Even before she was a gay icon. We all know this. Yes there have been appropriation claims because it is actually right to question these things and have the dialogue, but no one brought more attention and centred queer people of colour in mainstream culture more than Madonna up and to that point. Periodt. An artist at her peak powers. This remix straddles the line between a thank you to an amazing and pioneering ally and recentres people of colour in the call outs. It couldn’t be more perfect in that sense. Like… couldn’t be more perfect. Ain’t no shit to stir here. I came up through these times and I never remember any PoC queens from my house having any kind of problem with Madonna or Vogue. On the contrary. They were out there on the dancefloor maybe even moreso in a “ok this my moment clear out I’m coming through” kinda way. It was powerful and celebratory and the lyrics to Vogue were inclusive too to make sure people knew everybody was invited. Madonna has proven her credentials and commitment to black culture, women, and queer culture repeatedly since day one. There is zero slight or shade from Bey here. It’s all love. Get into it.

  5. Imagine telling someone in 1990 that in 30 years Janet will be in the Vogue rap. I'd pay to see it.

  6. Twitter is full of people hating on everyone. Not necessarily a true indication of the real world. Imagine if this forum was a basis to evaluate the views and attitudes of Madonna fans lol

  7. The respect that Beyoncé has for Madonna, I love that. This is how you pay tribute to an icon! She was giving hints but none of us could imagine

  8. no but because you complain so much it's irritating everybody here knew material wouldn't do that big on the charts beyonce paid tribute to madonna and all you have to say it's that she purposedly sabotaged madonna you're the most annoying person here i swear to god can't you be a little nicer? you not running for drag race u know

  13. I feel like Remix Revolution was more than just Finally Enough Love. I mean, we're in the midst of a bunch of remixed hits, and I'm not sure we realize it yet. Maybe the Katy Perry rumors are true as well. And whatever the Wonder Woman song rumored to happen... I'm too lazy to go hunting for what that was. but all of this with the box sets and FEL...seems like the perfect way to infiltrate regular people's lives to get them ready for a Biopic. And Im extremely happy that Bey is showing Madonna love and doing it by sampling this specific song. It helps quiet the narrative that M exploited ballroom culture for her own gain as something malicious or predatory. ITS SO GOOOOOD!!!! and I love that she shouts out to Jill Scott!

  14. This is a major jolt of energy to the 50#1s box set. It won't be included but what a tribute from Beyonce to Madonna. The Queen's Remix is what I have been waiting for. A+

  15. I'm glad the track has been released at the exact same time than Material Gworrl (i feel like a silly 8yo girl when writting it). Hope M can wake up and realise the difference of reactions both track gets from her own fans and by the grand public in general. Time for her to move on from the reaggaeton/rap-trap/afro-trap, it's just not working for her and it's over done and outdated. Even Beyonce, who has done all of her career doing urban is now doing 90's infused house in a classy 2022 way. Break my soul queen's remix is acclaimed by all fan bases since it hit the net a few hours ago, and not only because Beyonce is younger than M, mainly because this is good music with solid and classy production. As a dj I think i can speak in the name of many djs of the world, we are dying to fill the dancefloors with a new Madonna stomper, cause maybe expet "I don't search i find", she hasn't produced a solid stomper in years. So in a positive note, i hope that new Break My soul Queen's remix wakes her up from her fuzzy dream. Just my opinion but a few solid new remix like this would do her more favor than releasing 50 old remixes already avalable everywhere on the net for ages. Anyway, fingers crossed she gets inspired again to make brilliant new music.

  16. Posted on the Spotify thread but this deserves to be seen here too. Great debut day for "MATERIAL GWORRLLLLLLLL!" on Spotify: 203.081 streams This has the potential to be quite good for her.

  18. OKAY... I'm sorry for causing any confusion or upset! I accidently "quoted" someone instead of leaving a separate comment.. Sorry I find navigating this website a bit hard! Totally new to forums so again, I apologise.. Just want to clarify that I didn't start a thread to "promote" myself, I did it to converse with other M fans and have fun, not trying to sell or promote anything

  25. She’s a legend in her own right. The way M fans are so threatened by every big female artist is bizarre. Do we have to always talk about “Madonna did it first.” What about all the black women that came before Madonna that also paved the way for Beyoncé? Diana Ross, Aretha, Nina Simone, Grace Jones… the list goes on.

  26. It looks like this is gaining some steam on social media. Hopefully it will make Madonna realize that she has more to gain by collaborating with artists of her caliber rather than TikTok celebrities

  29. But again, this is a false or not a completely true narrative, yet very convenient for all the "stick to the dance music, love!" rants. It's not true it's not working for her. But you all prefer to not take notice of that cause it not working for you, personally. "Frozen" Sickick remix has been her biggest song in numbers in SIX YEARS, since "Bitch I'm Madonna" (another song most of her old school fans dislike), in 2015. She DOUBLED her streaming numbers thanks to that remix. "Medellín" and "Faz Gostoso" are, by far, the most streamed tracks on "Madame X" and the only two from that album with decent streaming figures. The new "Material Girl" remix has had a great debut on its first day - and it's only the beginning. It's perfectly fine that you all say that you like the Beyoncé mash-up best (I do too), but just don't rewrite the facts, that's all.

  32. “Bling” is hyper political. hyper. So many black Americans cannot get legal representation or afford bail and the justice system is set up to work against the poor or less well off which historically I’m the US has meant people of colour. There’s a chilling documentary about it that I fail to remember the name of. Bling isn’t just about “look what shit I got”, it’s literally saying I’m able to pay for my own justice if you come for me. Which is a sorry fucking state. When a rapper is talking about their ice, papers, cars and or whatever it’s not solely about being braggadocious it’s about saying “the system can’t get me I’m now on some sort of equal footing and I can hold my own” Everything is more complex that it seems.

  35. They are marginalized because of a little thing called white supremacy. These themes evolved in hip hop culture over decades. It has nothing to do with the current wealth or status of the person. I’m not saying I agree with the materialistic obsession or that it’s a good thing, I was answering the question of why I think its so prevalent in hip hop. But to be fair it is prevalent in Western culture full stop. As is the obsession with fame, beauty, youth etc. So to attribute it “these rappers” is a bit off the mark I think.

  37. If the remix gets more sales than the original it will replace it and give both Beyonce and Madonna a hot 100 entry, It's currrently #1 on US iTunes, outsellin the original, pls let's all buy it, from itunes, or amazon or idk

  38. I totally get that Frozen and some Madame X tracks have done very well with streaming and if people enjoy them, thats great. But I haven't seen the internet lose it over any of that material the way they are this BMS mix. This feels like the biggest/ most important collab/tribute since Britney. Nearly 20 years. I have no doubt that had she thrown some kind of video together with Anitta, it would have been a huge hit for her even though I can't stand that song.
