    For me the reason she is doing the kind of messy, ugly releases is because she is unable for some reason to do things better, as she did in the past, not because she want it that way. For me it is not a choice. It´s like a teenage badbehaving when can not get the love of their parents any other way. In her case, she is ruining her legacy, which mainly consisted of the opposite: impecable body of work. Good for her if she is happy. But she is not regarded as the super talented, impresive artist she was anymore, and that is because of releasing ugly, cheap stuff like this, like it or not. The good news is that she is doing that even that album of hers you liked the least before, now you think is the classiest thing ever done and a gem, comparing to these later remixes and videos.

    Congratulations Madonna!! You did it again!! Not only to be in the first places of many rankings but also to create controversy again and to be on everyone's lips using as a resource one of the "unspoken" topics of this discriminatory society. This is how Madonna, in her search to eliminate one of the taboos that most resists being knocked down in recent times, decided to do it but in an extreme way and not in a politically correct way (which would not have attracted much public attention and the media to be honest) and for this she decided to show how someone her age can still dress in the clothes they want, be ordinary and vulgar if they wish, have partners much younger than her and live their sexuality in a way intense regardless of their sexual preferences and feel totally comfortable surrounded by young people and share their same hobbies and “fun ways” And just as violent, chaotic and bloody social protests serve better than peaceful protests (because many times the latter do not get the attention of the media and go unnoticed and the desired objective is not achieved), also in music or in art you have to resort to extremes so that the message has more strength and credibility and if the price to pay for it is to be the target of ridicule or lose some fans who cannot put themselves in your shoes and understand the message, similar to what what happened in the Erotic era, I am sure that new fans, attracted by her new proposal and image, will arrive to take their place. Just tell those who decide to leave her to make sure they close the door when they leave. I love this image, I can clearly see Madonna laughing and making fun of all the confusion caused by her new video, not only from the general public but also from her own fans. Definitely, all this should produce a feeling of deja vu to what happened in 1992, but this time the objectives are different and if she will be successful in it, only time will tell, but nobody can say that she did not try. And that should be recognized by everyone, especially her fans.

    This. While obviously this won't be a Madonna classic, in 10-15 years we'll look back and say: bitch did THAT at 64. She's not gonna last forever. Let's celebrate her while she's here. As for the technical aspects of the video... it's no "Express Yourself" obviously but I'm surprised about the cheap comments. The "Frozen" remixes videos, while effective, were simple and "cheap", like tour backdrops. This isn't. There's a whole tech crew involved, lots of extras and different sets and costumes. I think some people are just not used to the visuals of most current Latin artists. This video is just that.

    Yes I love digital releases and I want them all released. But I am also a record collector and I am allowed to appreciate two different mediums. My point was that this is a thread about the PICTURE DISC. There’s another one specifically for digital releases and one for the reissues campaign. So why not complain there?

    Ooops, sorry... My mistake. If her music doesn't count yeah... I admit it. Madonna is a terrible instagramer! Just joking... I know what you're trying to say but people here are acting like she's completly over for 4 remixes and 3 videos and a half. For me, and I guess that for a lot of fans, the albums (don't forget that after all Madonna is a singer) are not bad. You can like them more or less but they are not bad albums. You talk about this year... I don't think she's done something so bad to see how some people react. What did she do this year? 01. Who's that girl club mix for RSD 02. Frozen remixes 03. Material Gwoooorld 04. Gay Pride Concert 05. Finally Enough Love compilation 06. Hung up with tokischa 07. Erotica picture disc re-realise 08. Everybody RSD I don't think it's bad. About the Madame X Tour I have to admit that is not her best moment. I think the show was good but the last minute cancelations, waiting hours to see her on stage was what made the show a disaster. Of course, it was her fault too but I don't think the show on stage was bad at all. Different to what people expected (same as the new remixes) but not bad at all.

    Think it’s probably just years of built up tension watching other fan bases get deluxe anniversary editions while Madonna fans have had fuck all. A lot of the angst will die down (hopefully) when we actually see the extent of what the first deluxe release will look like. I really think a good bunch of the hardcore who have been left luke warm by recent celebratory offerings are waiting on the deluxe propa to actually keep them at the Madonna table. If they ain’t done well it’s entirely possible they’ll just quietly depart the party. I think the Erotica pic disc and WTG EP are cute enough and appreciate the intention of the new remixes but they’re some of the most disposable things she’s ever done and I don’t think there’s actually anything in Madonna’s career that’s been disposable in terms of musical content. Ok maybe Hey You and a few b sides. FEL is a fan dream but they even tinkered with that and the the artwork felt sub par. I’m enjoying the ride for the most part but yeah I defo need to see whether the first deluxe is top class. There’s a lot riding in it for some of us. Years invested patiently waiting you might say. Things always get angtsy when you can smell the food in the kitchen but it’s not on your plate yet.

    Yeah... But I think that "MDNA", "Rebel heart" and "Madame X" are good albums (an if they were hits most of the haters would have say they are master pieces). The videos were good, the tours too... And now for 4 remixes done without promotion some are acting like if she is completly over.

What damage control she supposed to do, what crime exactly Madonna committed, you people are so ridiculously over dramatic, to point is just sad to read, and that you are even serious. And believe me most of kids that listen to Elton remix with Britney, doesn't even know who Elton is or care about him.

I mean, I'm sure she had control about what she wanted to be shown in the video I don't see Tokischa pointing her with a gun saying "Madonna, you have to look pathetic for part of your fans). You can like it or not, but I'm sure she knew what she was doing. So, no in 1993 Madonna was a controlled alcoholic (instead of playing that part on "Bad Girl" video) and in 1987 she descovered she was a "folclórica" in real life. And now for everybody... Come on, I think people is going to far... It's just a video she has made because she wanted to do it. Do you think is great? Perfect. Do you hate it? Perfect too. Do you want to give your opinion??? PERFECT!!!!!!! But to judge her whole career for a 3 minutes video. This is not a new whole era... It's just a song to fill a gap.

    What strikes me the most is the hypocrisy of putting 1992 Madonna on a pedestal while censoring 2022 Madonna. The essence is literally THE SAME. And that's why the comparison is valid, maybe not so much on her work, but definitely in her attitude.

    I actually love Hung Up on Tokischa. I've just been choosing to save my breath. I think with every reincarnation it takes people a while to appreciate what she's doing and then with the passing of time people start to paint things in a different light in their own minds. We've seen the same thing happen with American Life (song) with the rap. The Britney Kiss. (people thought it was the worst performance ever) Hard Candy as a whole. The Secret Project. The Drake Kiss. Pride 2021? When she performed with Miley Cyrus. Tears of a Clown. The fans are constantly in a state of meltdown. Im not sure why people expect Beyonce-Formation level of thought and creativity with every single release. To quote M herself... "Not every song can be Vogue". But for some reason the fans expect it every single time. They expect she's gonna release Ray of Light part 2 with EVERY SINGLE RELEASE. and when she wants to be provocative and silly it's the end of her career. They literally laugh at the end of the song/video. It's not meant to be so serious.

    If Madonna ever decided to give the public what they have been asking for decades they would go in drones to see her. "Madonna GREATEST HITS tour" that's just not the type of artist she is. And I love her for that. Madame X was "interesting" but I loved all the visuals we got on that album. Not the greatest tour. But I was able to see her so close, and I felt it was more of a tour for "die hards". I love she has always stayed true to herself. She is unique...like Prince. Never falling to convention. There will never be another.

    Madonna's attitude back then was strong, controlled and focused. In the Tokischa thing she seems unstable, drugged and uncontrolled. It has nothing to do with her age. She was seen performing much better not so long ago.

    I don't think this remix is embarrassing trash, it's quite good in my opinion, and maybe you should read again what @Prayer wrote, the line "maybe not so much on her work, but definitely in her attitude", he's talking about attitude not her work, and his comparison is valid.

    But he’s stills charting high in the charts, he’s one of the best selling singles ever with Dua lipa. He’s selling arenas and stadiums around the world, so couldn’t give a toss the kids don’t know who Elton John is. We could argue till we are blue in the face there are people who choose to bury their head in the sand. You believe what you want to believe and I’ll continue to see what I see. Im happy to be proved wrong when it happens and the general public have taken her back in but facts are facts. There is damage control to be done and it can only be done when Madonna is willing to accept it and being as stubborn as she is I can’t see it changing.

But denying it's getting attention and is being talked about this week is silly, cause it's simply not true. It was #4 on YouTube trending videos worldwide, now it's going down yes, but there was INTEREST about it when it was released.     was thinking about logging in for 2 days and saw exactly what i wish would ve stopped by now. funny thing, i love how insecure people always use Madonna as their scapegoat Hung Up on Tokischa is super cool and I live for this current madonna. Also experimenting with dembow was a pleasant surprise turned out great. Hung Up , love you boo but you are overplayed and 17 years old. I loved all over again in a completely different way and this treatment was on point. Im so happy I can appreciate each Madonna moment in time in its own context and looking forward to her next steps. stop hating on madonna , it's only a reflection, youre hating on yourself. bye

    But I don’t think she would be able to pull off an Elton regardless of who she duets with because of what she’s done to her public image and the point being myself and others have made about this Hung Up remix video it’s this attitude she has doesn’t help her at all, hence why she will never be successful again like Elt unless she’s will to do damage control.
