I think the main problem with Guy Oseary is that he realised that there is more money for him in endorsement deals and side projects than in music, and that's how he started shaping M's career. So we started getting face cleansers, shoes (that God awful Material Girl fashion collection, oh gaaawwwd!!!), (failed) gyms and crap like that.

This is exactly why I'm a Madonna fan and not a Taylor Swift fan. Her concept sounds like a tour concept dreamed up on a fan forum. So cliche and the name is cringe inducing too.

Well, this is your opinion, not mine. IMO, Guy Oseary is the worst manager she ever had and since then her career declined year after year.

That wasn't Guy's idea, that's the way the music industry has become in the past 15 years. Name me someone that doesn't do these things? It's the same with the complaints about her on social media. If Madonna didn't follow these trends she'd be left in the dust.

He's not a good manager for the current state of music, he's not a good manager since 2015, he needs to either sit down and learn how industry works now, or quit. If his job is to help her promote her music, he's failing.

The second Guy started managing her career it started going down the drain, with one disastrous product sign after another, Truth Or Dare Brand, MDNA Skin, Material Girl and now this latest NFT scheme that failed. The Live Nation deal ruined her career and Maverick records which was his responsibility has failed as well. Guy O is nothing and should have been fired years ago. Difficult to tell how many of these decisions are a result of his influence or Madonna simply self imploding but either way his resume as her manager looks terrible. If Guy is being criticized its because he sucks rather than some straw grasping attempt at putting it down to antisemitism.

Compare Bono's latest interviews and Madonna's, she has a loooong way to go to be at his level of Jesus complex and tax fraud unsufferable twat.

Madonna actually has had a lot of success with Guy. Her touring success alone has shattered records.

Be careful what you ask for. Guy might be doing better than you think. Managing a star like Madonna cannot be easy and we do not know who would replace him. Would we get a know-it-all person with no experience that tries to tie Madonna to evert passing trend whether she fits or not? Would we get someone who's only motive was to transform her into an ATM? Would we get someone who reins in her creativity too much or get sucked up in personal pseudo-celebrity?

You're naming things that happened WAY after she signed him on as her manager, which was 2005. Many record breaking tours came before the things you mentioned. I agree that those things you mentioned are questionable, so I am not exactly sure if anything is actually wrong in their business/friend relationships.

you are right, everybody does it, but in M's case a lot of the side projects have been unsustainable quick ventures to get some cash before the project fails altogether, and the team moves onto the next one.... a lot of the other stars built much stronger brands with their side ventures.

When my Erotica (Single) Vinyl was dispatched, for about 24 hours, I had an unclickable download button for "Erotica (2022 Remaster)" in the email. And the day of the launch, that button disappeared. There is remaster of the song out there somewhere.

I wonder what he actually does for her now. On the one hand, I understand wanting someone in your corner who you've known, trust and worked with for decades. On the other hand this is Madonna. They had a great ride. But if she's interested in new blood in every other facet, why not a new manager?
