  1. I've been fascinated with Ai created imagery. Last night I got a little stoned and ended up creating these with "Madonna - The Whore Of Babylon Tour". That shit is so fascinating and to think it's only the beginning as far as Ai art goes. Nuts.Funny how Ai doesn't give a fuck that she's youth obsessed, it knows she's on the older side and uses that to create the face. Fascinating.

  6. The copyright in Gambler has always been owned by Warners (but not Sire). That’s why Japan got it on La Isla Bonita Super Mix, then Australia a few years later, and then the world on the RSD vinyl. The rumours that it wasn’t owned by them was started by fans who wanted an excuse as to why the song wasn’t widely available. The only reason it became so rare was because Madonna never chose it for any of her greatest hits albums. But now there is a reason to re-release it as Warners have a new deal that focuses solely on her back catalog. I’m wondering if we can find out what the deal is with Santa Baby. That’s the only one (along with Sidewalk Talk) that doesn’t seem to be owned by Warners. It barely gets any recognition each Christmas. It needs a stand-alone single release.

  7. This is the saddest video — Céline Dion is only 54, and should have another 30 or more years left with that powerhouse voice. But she has something called Stiff Person Syndrome, a devastating illness that could keep her from singing. Her video is so emotional. So many icons have died or been compromised. What a sad situation for her and the people who are uplifted by her:

  8. The Gambler release is significant because it’s actually the first 80’s vinyl only single that has been released in full format. The Everybody release was very specifically for the 40th release of her first ever singles and it’s not comprehensive just a digital version of the rsd release. This gives me some hope that the rest of her 80’s singles will be released like this in the lead up to their albums re editions. I still believe we are getting Erotica 30 first personally. I’m expecting an announcement soon

  12. Agree with this ! Everyone needs to chill I listened to my gambler vinyl today and it sounds distorted too so it’s probably just the track 🤷🏻‍♂️

  13. It's better remastered than Everybody. I enjoyed listening to it. Regarding the record labels from the original release, bare in mind that Vision Quest, the movie, was produced & distributed by Warner Brothers film division, the soundtrack however ended up on Geffen which is weird.

  14. Maybe it's just me, but I bought the 24-bit/96khz single of HDTracks and they sound absolutely gorgeous. There does seem to be a difference between the ITunes files (at least, the excerpts) and the files I purchased.

  15. Billboard claims that there is no more to come this year, but more to come in 2023 (this is a little "glimpse" of future releases). There's no plan of physical release (it could be a gem to next RSD) and video is not going to take HD treatmentent. And obiously no announcement of reissues. The milestone statement has been achieved every word. .... well. Good year 2022 but typically Madonna

  16. She won't release Back That Up cause her team is dumb. Knowing Guy, he's probably thinking Tiktok is obsolete and is working a MySpace promo instead.

  17. Well if were getting distorted remasters it's obvious it's not being done by a Mastering Engineer. Thats the WHOLE POINT of Mastering!!! Most likely they are AI Remasters unfortunately. CAPITALISM. At this point, I don't see the point of having a record label anymore. They don't properly remaster, they don't properly promote stuff, they don't pay for music videos, they aren't good at getting radio play... I mean maaaaaaybe Mike Dean fucked it up again, but there should be like at least 3 more people who have to OK something IMHO before something goes live. Hell, I dont know, maybe Guy Oseary could listen to what his biggest cash cow artist is releasing. OK rant over. I haven't even heard Gambler yet. 🫣

  18. All the rumours are true…GAMBLER! I’m gonna have a ladies glass of wine and wait till midnight to listen to this. Let’s make it number one everywhere! Sold out in iTunes!

  19. Yeah, I take back what I said: the remaster is shit and so fucking loud. Fuck you, Mike Dean. Fuck. You. With a sandpaper pole. Seriously, he must be completely deaf considering how loud and compressed this is. Thank you Dean for making Madonna's records unlistenable.

  24. I just love that Madonna personally requested Gambler for streaming. She knows what her fans want, and gave us this little early Christmas gift.

  25. Wasn't me this time. Tape is likely legit. I bought a Seal "Crazy" DAT from this seller back in May (for like $40), it looked legit and included one digital exclusive track

  26. I just listened to it… it’s absolute shit. It’s ear fatiguing with the highs and over compressed.

  27. That’s not accurate. AI mastering can ruin a file in many ways but they never ever introduce distortion like this. These are clearly made by a person. The mastering overall is not bad at a normal volume but then it was cranked up way more than it should have been and that distorts the track in places. The 7” version is not terrible, almost passable. But man the remixes are making my ears bleed. My suggestion is that tomorrow, when it’s properly released, everyone go on Twitter and notify Rhino of this mess. Otherwise it’s gonna keep happening

  28. Warner Bros. Inc was name of the film company, (they made the movie), not the record label which was Warner Bros. Records Inc. Both Madonna's songs were originally owned by the film company after Sire allowed her to appear on the soundtrack but the two songs were not part of her Sire contract. Remember the copyright blurb on original versions of The Immaculate Collection and Something To Remember was all '℗19XX Sire Records Company' except one '℗1985 Warner Bros. Inc.' which was for Crazy For You.

  29. I don't think it has anything to do with the "Celebration" remastering sessions, honestly. First, probably "Gambler" wasn't even back to Warner yet in 2009? According to the 35 years US copyright law, the song master must have reverted back to Madonna in 2020 and then it became part of the whole new Warner deal? Second, both "Everybody" and "Gambler" digital singles are available in Hi-Res Audio: "Celebration" isn't: (Source: Qobuz) And this is where my little shitty "investigation" ends xD

  35. I don't think she needs the co-writers permission to release it on digital, it's all about who owns the master - and she does, as far as we know. The co-writers would just get payed the % they're credited for, as usual. But there are two different versions of the song: - The 2014 "Rebel Heart" demo and the one trending now slowed down: this was unreleased, so she would own 100% the master, unless the Interscope deal of exclusive licensing for a number of years included also demos for each project. - The 2019 "Madame X" 2CD reworked version, this was released only on physical so Warner would need to license it from Interscope to release it now. It's a little messy maybe, would be easier if anything pre-"MDNA" was trending.

  36. I have no problems with the sound of the Gambler files... but then I am not that hung up about sound quality... and don't even have a great sound-system anymore...

  37. I wouldn't assume that's the case at all. Clearly something's happening behind the scenes as she posted 5 tik tok videos on her Instagram feed with it yesterday...

  38. Gambler was featured on more than one Madonna / Warner Bros. Records / Sire releases. So whatever the agreement was it is not new. Probably it was sorted with Crazy for You back in the 80's when both songs appeared on the La Isla Bonita Club Mix. Back in the 80's Geffen was under Warner Bros. Records just like Sire. Same company, different labels.

  39. She's basically a stalker. I have no doubt that everything she's doing is STILL to get Madonna's attention. The movie, the law suit, the selling of items making sure to tag M and Guy O, the crazy clapping in the red dress. Madonna probably cancelled when she found out it was HER going on the trip.

  40. To be honest I didn't like this reissue: it's too loud. I prefer the version that was released with La isla Bonita single. On the other hand, with the relaunch of Gambler, the chances of Madonna singing it live on the new 2023 Tour are once again gaining strength. Gambler is one of Madonna's songs little known by the general public (and some "fans") because the song was never part of some of her albums or her compilations but the song is so catchy and beautiful that it is not necessary to be published on an official album so that people end up falling in love with its contagious rhythm that you like so much the first time you listen to it. I hope that Gambler is part of the setlist of the new tour and if it is not like that and Madonna comes to sing in my country in Latin America, I will take care of convincing people to ask for it loudly and I am sure that due to the insistence of the public Madonna will end up singing it after so many years of not doing it and we will end up being the envy of other countries that will not have the happiness of having Madonna sing such a beautiful song for them. Something similar to what happened with Take a Bow in Asia where Madonna decided to sing it live after so many years due to the screams of the audience. And That's what I hope to achieve with Gambler as well.

  43. Here in the UK as an avid Madonna Fan from the eighties, i remember reading in one of the pop magazines of the time say around 1987, they did a piece on Madonna's Discography up until then and included some info on harder to find tracks. They mentioned that the 3.45 version of Burning up which they referred to as the exclusive video version. It was only available on CD pressings of the First Album. Up until that point, the 4.48 version was available on all UK Vinyl and Cassette pressings of the Album. Needless to say that's why the 4.48 version is NOT available on CD. So whenever the first CD editions of the First Album were released, that's when the 3.45 version was released on any Format other than Video. Not sure when the first pressings of the CD were available in the eighties, 86 perhaps?
