  7. I have to agree. It's either: 1. She's creating an EP to have a few new songs for the tour 2. A stand alone single to compliment the tour 3. Re-issue of Celebration compilation with a couple new songs 4. A new album for AFTER the tour and possibly she's using the tour to introduce a song or two that may come from it. We have to remember Madonna said it herself she has to find new ways to get her new music across to people. Her tours are about the anything anymore that gets people interested. Also, I don't think she's as committed as the fans are, to the idea that this is strictly a "Greatest Hits" tour. Sure, it's the premise, but she's always been known to do unconventional things. I can see her using this tour as a vehicle for new music too.

Mine are rescue me - lifeboat dub - almost a chill out version with a gorgeous synth string like a prayer - dub beats - the perfect mash up of Prince and Madonna ( shits over the disappointing love song duet ) keep it together - that intro “ 3 2 1 hit it “ should have been added to the FEL version Sorry I’m a shep fan as you can tell - he’s a genius and I wish he was brought back in for this reissue campaign 😢🥹

  11. New found by member @roberMDNA : another one on the list of the people who says their are working on new music with Madonna. For info this is the guy who made the mix track with Madonna's vocals from the Grammys speech and Madonna has reposted it on her instagram. He has just posted about an upcoming track with Madonna AFTER she has reposted his grammy track, so he must be talking about a new one. There are just too many info about people working on new music with her, she must be cooking a new album... so far we have :Siddekick, Honey Dijon, Max Martin and Asaf Goren.

  14. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-65079606 MUM! The follow-up to 2022's Redcar les Adorables Étoile, it was recorded by Kanye West's favoured producer Mike Dean and features Madonna as Big Eye, a mysterious character who appears throughout the album. Dean had worked with Madonna previously, and when developing the narrative for Paranoïa, Angels, True Love, Chris decided the US superstar would be perfect for the role. "What is the most emblematic female voice we have in the pop landscape?" Chris asks. "She has such an imprint on everybody's subconscious. "She did a very risky FaceTime when I explained the whole concept and I was like, 'Do you want to be an actress in this weird musical? To be exactly also the great actress you are?' Because she's multifaceted. She's not even enclosed in one person. "And she said, 'Yes!' I think because she was enticed by the insanity of the whole thing. She was like, 'You're crazy. I'll do it!' "I sent her lines that I wrote because she's embodying the character of Big Eye, a very ambivalent 'being of light'. We don't really know if it's AI, a true angel, or maybe my mum?," Chris adds. "Or if it's maybe me. She's has this voice that encloses all of the others and she's piercing through in the record to just give the wisdom we need. "She sent me the lines and she delivered in such a perfect way. So I had the emotions of a stage director having the best, best performer to direct, and she delivered in exactly the right way. "I'm truly joyful that she trusted me enough to give me this impeccable piece of theatre. And also, any time she wants me to just do something for her, I'll be of service all my life."

  21. I think what Chris means is that Madonna was having many eras and personalities, that's why he thinks she's great actress, and as you mention Madonna was great in musical.
    2 points
  22. As i said a couple of weeks ago, there's no way Madonna is going to perform like 100 shows, almost every nights for months with just old songs. That idea would kill her. She hates greatest hits as much as she hates performing old tracks of hers. I bet everything you want the only way for her to get through this is to find a way to blend new music into this, one way or another. She won't find solid excitment in performing old stuff only. Mark my words.
    2 points
  23. Exactly. Even some new artists couldn't release on vinyl because there wasn't enough time to book the plants. Even Metallica just bought their own factory because the demand for their records was so high.

  26. Many vinyl pressing plants were backed up by 7 months or more due to the pandemic, and I believe several stopped taking new orders altogether. I'm unsure of the current timescales

  27. Definitely not on vinyl at this moment. Releases must be planned with months in advance, and even a year.

  28. 3-4 months ? Come on... She's not on a little independent label... And even independent labels can have physical copies in 3-4 months... And I know what i talk about...

  29. I doubt she's releasing a new album before the tour. I can't imagine her managing rehearsals for the tour and learning choreography and everything while still making new music. I know she is capable since she did MDNA when she also did W.E and rehearsed for the tour and Super Bowl, but that's overkill. I do think she'll give us the dance/house album she hinted a while ago but later. She might release a song or two before the tour. I do think since she's released her remix compilation album last year, she's going to release another compilation album like Celebration to celebrate her 40 years. That seems more realistic and it makes sense with the concept for this tour. I can see her performing them at her tour, too. Madonna's been there and done that. Every album is a different genre. She gave us 80's pop, pop-rock, dance, jazz, swing, (deep) house, R&B, hip-hop, world, electronic(a), folktronica, musicals, ballads, disco, EDM, trap, Latin, art pop, etc. I'm surprised but not surprised she's collaborating with Max. I think she's at a point in her life where she did everything and is just doing things for the fun of it hence her new remakes of Frozen, Material Girl, Vogue, and Hung Up. I do wonder and think she might re-release old classic singles and remix them with new artists like a tribute/collaboration. Sure, he's mainstream and the top-40 producer, but she's also collaborated with Timbaland, Pharrell, Avicii, Diplo, and other mainstream producers. She is here to stay, and it's not like she is trying to get a hit. Whether or not her songs make the top 40, she isn't going anywhere, and she has no one to prove. I think she's just enjoying herself now. She paved the way, and if anything, it's just full circle that she continues to reinvent herself and carry inspiration from new, younger, and upcoming generations/trends/sounds that she inspired herself. It's also a smart business move to keep up to date to gain attraction from younger folks with TikTok and IG with her posts/sped up songs, and songs being less than 3 minutes.

  36. When I think Urban I think of it as an umbrella term for R&B, Hip Hop, Rap, Trap. So Hard Candy and Rebel Heart were definitely more urban in terms of those sounds and aesthetics. But all these sounds are very much integrated into much of our pop music soundscape so those musical elements have definitely moved beyond that umbrella of urban.

  39. Causing A Commotion, Vogue (Strike-A-Pose Dub), Love Profusion (Ralphi Rosario Big Room Dub) Are some of my favorite dubs. Speaking of dubs: When they shot the disco scenes for Deeper And Deeper, the DJ played old disco hits from the 70's, but there's also a mysterious version of Deeper And Deeper mentioned in Grant Shaffer's story. (Published in an issue of Icon) Could it be David's Deeper Dub he's talking about? It fits the description...
