I wouldn't say I'm a fanatic, but not a casual. Someone who's grown up with music and has always maintained a passing interest but doesn't feel the need for material items. I knew of her since Holiday Solid Gold, then Material Girl, La Isla Bonita and Who's That Girl, but it wss the Like a Prayer video that did it and the MTV weekends. Frozen/Ray of Light sent it into overdrive because I couldn't get enough. Music was interesting, AL was cool, Confessions was colourful but then it started cool off after that. It's not her, it's me I guess. Different times, different things or just life. But it was Like a Prayer really. Blond Ambition too. She was untouchable. A goddess. She didn't do TV performances, she didnt do Top of the Tops. She was always swamped with security. You never knew what was coming next.

I won't anticipate a new album for a while. Probably not until 2019. My ears wanna vomit whenever they hear the screechy soubds of that horrible record.

It's a tempting idea to play with, I'd omit a lot of the tracks such as BIM, Holy Water and whatever else is on there I don't like. But I think I'd also produce it completely differently, mainly it's the production that makes me dislike much of the album. Holy Water could do with an entirely different vocal take and production, same with Ghosttown whilst Body Shop and Nothing Last Forever just need different production to make them listenable. Never Let You Go is a keeper though, along with Tragic Girl and Inside Out.

The short hair for Girlie Show was daring, don't think she'd go there again though. Would truly love to see a change. Feels like since Guy Ritchie she's stuck to pretty much the same look and relied on wigs when she wanted something different. It would be so good to see her either go short or dark. Reinvention era was stunning as her hair was so long, like ROL era. But she's so stunning as a brunette. Just one more time please.

I think MDNA is pitched up as well, at least on Love Spent, TUTR, GMAYL...gosh can't even remember the other songs on there (not my favorite album). True Blue seems to be closer to her natural tone than the first two albums where she earned the Minnie Mouse label. By Erotica it was husky, then it changed for Evita and ROL. Hard Candy sounded very nasal if you know what I mean. Then pitched up for MDNA and RH was just far too obviously processed when it didn't need to be.

There was no pre-nup with Guy unfortunately. I think legally he's not allowed to make any remarks about her to the press that could be seen as defamatory. Especially after the Rocco debacle, how that was settled and the adoption followed.

Occasionally I dream of conversations with her about music production and having access to multitrax or just hearing unreleased stuff. I remember in the early 90s I had a dream if a music video with a dark blueish tint and she had dark hair and was dressed as a nun. Then Frozen came out and though she wasn't dressed as a nun, oart if the dream did come true!

"gosh that was the most expensive two hours of my life" comes to mind. But honestly, the first time i saw her was at the evita premier and she was stunning, radiant and beaming. Have seen her inand around London, even without makeup and she's very beautiful, petite, almost porcelain skin.

When I exercise with my ipod on I have tracks like Ray of Light, Beautiful Stranger, Like A Prayer (IC Version), Open Your Heart, Deeper and Deeper and Hung Up playing. If I'm on YouTube I might watch a live video here or there from VT, WTG, BA, RIT or CT. But this isn't often. And I don't play albums that much anymore. Not since the 90s really when ROL, LAP and BS would be on daily.

I think it's just something that came up during the recording sessions. Everything was already there, they just had to flip the track, add some kickdrum and Madonna thought it'd be hilarious to recite a prayer over it to close the album. It's "like" a prayer,but not exactly.
