Interesting , it guts me they didn't collaborate in the 80s and 90s really ....they met a couple times but imagine...it would've been better than Bowie jagger dancing in the street I'm sure

    But imagine that !!

he was super selective with his collaborations, particularly in his late years. he turned coldplay down by email ("it isn't really a good song, is it?").

now question is, is M willing to explore that darkness of 'hours...', Heathen and The Next Day without thinking too much about the charts? MDNA was supposed to be a dark album but she worried about the audience and that's when the whole project shiftshaped into not so good. Never Let Me Down is the perfect example of what happens when you put other's expectations before your own, they had to later redo the entire thing 30 years later cause indeed let people down!

It's weird how much Madonna's recording career mirrors David Bowie's in terms of reception and quality. Especially since the 00 :

    Music : "Heroes"

    American Life : Lodger

    Confessions : Scary Monsters

    Hard Candy : Let's Dance

    MDNA : Tonight

Rebel Heart : Never Let Me Down

Madame X : a mix between Black Tie White Noise and 1. Outside.

i wasn't really seeing this until i read it again and damn, it makes sense! so now all these non-album singles are her Earthling era? will the next album be her 'hours...' sound?

  3. ok but I just remembered, when MDNA was announced, it had a completely different tracklist!

there was a mail sent to fans, with the attached picture, the announcement and the first tracklist. that was changed later, before release.

    1. Girls Gone Wild
    2. Gang Bang
    3. I'm Addicted
    4. Some Girls
    5. I Don't Give A
    6. Turn Up the Radio
    7. Give Me All Your Luvin'
    8. B-day Song
    9. Superstar
    10. I'm a Sinner
    11. Masterpiece
    12. Falling Free
    13. Love Spent
    14. I Fucked Up
    15. Beautiful Killer

  4. the Don't Tell Me lyrics in Future, the "on my knees for you like a prayer" on Crazy, "like a virgin, sweet and keen" in Some Girls, she's started to reference herself more and more since MDNA, on Rebel Heart she was her own inspiration, and this tendency continued into Madame X. it's not like her main work ends with Hard Candy, but I feel she saw it wasn't really successful and started seeing into herself form more inspiration.

Do you think Madonna picks the playlist before the show starts or maybe leaves it to Stuart but gives an idea what she wants like 90s house music? We know she loves InnerCity Good Life so no surprise that was on there

maybe! i like to thing she's got like a vibe to set before the show, and this pre-show looks like it's built in three groups: 80s synth pop, electronic instrumentals and 90s house, but i don't think she personally picks all the songs, i mean, her own Holiday was the outro for both S&S and MDNA tours.

Dirty Cash (Money Talks) by The Adventures of Stevie V played at many of the shows I attended - roundabout the same section where Good Life by Inner City played.

thank you! would love to know what version exactly but this is valued info! will be adding it to the playlists.

    = = = = = =

Tour resumes today! If you get early, remember to notice which songs are playing before, so we keep making this celebration together!

In one of the London shows, her wig started to come off towards the end of Sky Fit Heaven, and she just let it be as she finished with Mer Girl.

I remember reading that after the audience reaction to this, she decided to start taking the wig off at the end of the song for the rest of the shows, and it worked so well!

During MDNA, both nights in the triangles, these obnoxious pair of guys kept shoving people and trying to high five Madonna when she came down the walkway. They were beyond aggressive.

ugh the horror! imagine believing you're so important the artist will change the script of their performance just to say hi.

When I was 15 I was bullied at a Kelly Clarkson concert for knowing all the words and singing along :suffer: Traumatized me

    oh nooo!

I used to care about what people thought of me at concerts, until I was like "no one here will ever see me again, and if else, I won't stop myself from feeling like I want to, this is a once in a lifetime experience, I won't sabotage this for myself".

I didn't really enjoy my S&S show cause I was 15 and went with my mom, and didn't really want to dance and sing in front of her, but for MDNA and Rebel Heart I didn't really care.

  10. it's happened in a couple of concerts, not just M's. I remember being in line for a Muse concert in 2015, and after spending all day waiting in line, this guy who was sleeping on the side said he was there before me and i had to let him enter before. i tried my best to enter first when the doors opened, and still made it to the rail at the end of the runway.

and also on The MDNA Tour, in Santiago, on the GA in front of the triangle, I had never seen so many people so desperate to try to prove they were there instead of ebnjoying the show. most of them weren't even fans, they got courtesy tickets for free! I thought I was going to be surrounded by fans and people sharing the love for M and her work, and only got snobs who were like "oh this will look great on my social media". fuck right off!
