Have we talked about the weather usually in Brazil in May?! Can you imagine? “Calling for rain and thunderstorms all day” I’d die
The wet season here in Brazil is usually from October/November until March ;)

I'm thinking of going to Brazil. I'll decide within this week.
Pros:
- I want to see it just because it's a big event that might make history and I'd like to be there
- I think there will be surprises, there will be shouting and crying
- She will give her all
- I'd visit Brazil for the first time in my life
- It's free, it's like paying a VIP ticket and travel to Brazil for free
Cons:
- I know I would end up very far from the stage, I would see everything from the screens
- I've already seen this show four times and I don't want to see it again, that's enough for me
- I have to spend 500€ for flights plus accommodation
- I don't know if I can take more days off and work remotely
You haven't been to Brazil yet. Come here and see by yourself why every single artist in the world gets completely crazy with us and usually says that the concerts here are the best ones in their career.
Where's the party? In Brazil.

Here is the structure used for Rolling Stones.
P.S.: I was not allowed to attach the photo directly because I got the message "You have used all of the attachment space you are allowed per post. Manage Attachments to free up space". Can someone help me with this, please?

Right, maybe the 'hotel' means an station or gate that advertises the hotel , maybe they divert traffic? what did they do in past concerts?
The only thing I remember is that they built a temporary bridge connecting the hotel and the stage on the beach, for Rolling Stones to go to the stage safely.
I think the same will happen for Madonna. No way she and her crew will cross the crowd on the street to get to the stage, it'll be very risk for her.
For the attendants, it doesn't seem feasible to me to give bracelets for each one of the millions of people that will surely be there. I'm curious about how they control the access too.
I haven't been to New Year at Copacabana before, but I presume the security now will follow the same protocols.

There will be a special section for hardcore fans, sponsored by Deezer.
Source: Madonna Literal (they're live in the hotel).
P.S.: Does it mean Legacy ICON access?

More news: stage bigger than the one so far on the tour and no defined setlist yet.

I hope it’s broadcast in the uk
Globoplay is TV Globo's streaming service. There are paid services, but what is broadcast by the channel on TV you can watch freely on the platform in real time. You just have to create a free account. However, I don't know how it works outside Brazil... Give it a try ;)

I can't tell how excited and proud I am of being a Brazilian right now! It's been years since she last had a concert broadcasted... Apart from the Superbowl and the 'half' concert MDNA Olympia, it hasn't happend since DWT if I'm not mistaken.
And we'll be seeing history being made in front of our eyes \o/

So it seems that Bob will come too!

I was mixing in one of her songs. Im not a bloody racist thanks. Quite the opposite. Read the room.
Hello dear.
First of all, I do believe that it was not your intention to be racist with your comment, so I'm not here to fight
But, as a Brazilian myself, I think it's better to explain to you (and to the rest of the people here in the forum who are not Brazilian) why the use of the word "banana(s)" in conversations where Brazil is in the context may sound racist to us, even if it is unintentionally
One of the most common ways to be racist against a Brazilian person is to call him/her "monkey", because we are both a tropical country and a country where more than half of the population is black. It's not difficult to see/hear/watch soccer fans from Europe, or even from other countries in South America, calling Brazilian soccer players "monkey" or even throwing bananas into the field towards them during the matches, for example. If you Google a bit, you will find news about such cases pretty easily. It's the way that racists found to be racist against us without using a word
When I read your comment, I realized that you were making a pun with the song "I'm Going Bananas" (am I right?), because I'm a Madonna's fan and I know the song. But if you were here in Brazil and used such pun outside the fanbase community, you would probably be accused of being racist
So I advise you to be more careful with the words "banana(s)", "monkey(s)" and similar ones when talking about Brazil and/or to Brazilian people, because it might sound racist to the person you're talking to, even if it was not your intention

Rock in Rio is always broadcast by Globo/Multishow. And Itaú sponsors it the same way. Maybe it's a good hint.
But, this time, I think Madonna has the final word whether or not she's going live all around the world.

Don't know if it's been already discussed here... But have you ever considered the scenario where she won't release a new full studio album anymore? And she just recycles her old hits (like she's already been doing) and go on tours where she only plays them (her original hits), just like Aerosmith and Janet Jackson?

IMO Argentina shouldn't be in the tour set list... I recognize it's a fan favorite, and I like it too, but there's a lot of other iconic songs that deserved that place on the set list like Express Yourself, Material Girl, Get Together, Sorry, True Blue, Deeper and Deeper, Girl Gone Wild, Give It 2 Me, Rescue Me.
Same for Little Star.
True Blue? Iconic?
I consider myself a huge fan and I always skip that song
GP don't even know that it exists

Madonna was unhappy that information about her free concert on Copacabana beach in Rio de Janeiro on May 4 had been leaked.
Because of this, an operation called "Project Veronica" was set up with the aim of getting other sponsors for the Queen of Pop's visit to Brazil.
Madonna's third name, Madonna Louise Veronica Ciccone, was used as a diversion. This is because it is forbidden to use the name Madonna in negotiations so as not to leak any more information.
Also according to journalist Fábia Oliveira's sources, seven more companies are going to pay for her to come to Brazil. One of them is Uber.
The news is talking about Madonna being dissatisfied with the leaked info about the concert.
The same news is leaking information about a new operation to get sponsors for the concert.
Oh, the irony.

Madonna in Copacabana: singer asked for another US$3.5 million and contract has not yet been signed
So in the urgent need to be the first to spill the beans, the fansite enraged its own idol. How ironic.

It was confirmed by the Brazilian government already. I don't know why people are acting like it wasn't confirmed.
The only source that can confirm with 100% of certainty that Madonna is coming is Madonna herself.
It's not announced in her official site / networks. So nothing is confirmed until now. That's how I read it.

From what I've read so far from TV Globo, you won't even need to create an account to watch the broadcast, it'll be signal free for everybody. I don't think there'll be any issues for the foreign fans to watch. Maybe just have a VPN ready, just in case.
