MX.
I respect it, but sonically I absolutely couldn't get into it whatsoever. I love every other album however.

I was at the filming of The Virgin Tour in Detroit and the DWT. Of course nobody knew we'd be filmed when we went there. The doors had notices that cameras would be filming.
On June 1st, 1990 (the 2nd Michigan BAT show) we sang Happy Birthday to her Dad after Holiday.

I used to love Boblo. I had a summer pass from 89 till 92. The summer of 93 I was 15 and applied to work there like my dad and sister did as a teens. I wasn't hired as since it was the last summer being opened, they had a limited amount of staff was my understanding.
I actually remember my neighbour friend and I in Amherstburg, Ontario Canada where I lived at the Boblo dock to catch the boat to go to the park on August 5, 1990. I was excited because my parents' friend who lived in Michigan was recording the BAT that night for me on HBO, and I was beyond excited as a 12 year old Madonna fan, still thrilled from seeing her live in June across the river.
I always got a kick out of that Boblo shirt she wore. I wish I had one, lol. Perhaps not a crop top though... Glad to see it back in whichever capacity.

Where's the Party.
The TB album mix sounds like a demo now when I hear it.

It also her best selling studio album in the US, isn't it?

It was a kind of joke cause there's a never ending conflict going on for decades in the Madonna fanbase as to consider "I'm breathless" weither a studio album or a soundtrack !
Personally I consider it a studio album, but I can understand why some say it's a soundtrack. To me, if it was an actual soundtrack, all songs should be in the movie - not just 3 or 4.
I remember when it was in stores new. It was often placed next to the actual Dick Tracy soundtrack AND the Dick Tracy score CD.
The majority of the songs are just inspired from the movie or era the movie was set in, and the singles released from this album weren't in the movie either.

Speaking of Burning Up versions, does anyone know if this is official or not? It seems legit to me, but I could be (more than likely) wrong.
-
First it was the original LP 4:48 version, then I heard the video version (revised album version), then the 12" version. Many years later I download the Japanese singles boxed set and then heard the 7" version.
And of course all the various demos online thereafter...

I hate to name Burning Up 4:48 "ALTERNATE VERSION". For many fans is the real album version.
I got the debut and Like A Virgin LP's for Christmas 1984.
The 4:48 version is the only version I knew of for years. It wasn't until we got cable TV in 1990 that I got MuchMusic here in Canada and saw the video with a different version in which I never knew existed. Then I bought myself the debut CD later that year and was surprised to hear this "new" version on it.
Then a couple years later I bought an international CD single of Burning Up and heard yet another "new" version lol.
I was so confused but naturally over the years learned how and why it happened.
I'm sure everyone might have a similar/comparable story.

Rescue Me was a huge hit where I live back in '91 on Detroit radio. I used to come home grade 8 during lunch and hear it on the top 10 countdown every day for weeks. And I remember they played the Alternate Single Mix (which I didn't prefer), but regardless. 🤷🏼♂️

I think this tour, there's going to have be a bunch of medleys, or at least shortened songs.
I think that's a pretty obvious given.
And they will mostly be 90% all songs the general public knows, and probably a couple gems for the die-hards.
I just wonder how thematically orientated this tour will be. We all know previously she chooses songs based on the segment or theme. Will this be more focused on spectacle this time around rather than particular themes?
We shall see!

That happened to me too, and I live in Canada. I bought tix to Detroit, MI USA because the venue is 15 minutes from my house in Canada. I live in a border city. Toronto is 4 hours away from me. My credit cards weren't working, so I just used PayPal. That worked. 20 minutes later I get a fraud warning text from my credit card. By then it was too late and all the presale tix were sold.

I don’t think a lot of the people with these codes are necessarily more dedicated or deserving than other fans. It would be better if the fans that are most dedicated today have a chance rather than just those who were part of a fanzine subscription that ended almost 20 years ago. They could just give access to anyone who has been signed up for 10 plus years surely, that would be basically everyone on here. A lot of fans cancelled those subscriptions before it ended because the service had gone to the dogs (irregular magazines etc.)
That was me. I started my paying membership when I was 13 years old until I was 29. I cancelled due to the dwindling of value. Therefore, I have no lifetime legacy status.
That seems a little silly to me.

This is the only way I attend a Madonna show. I refuse to get a pit or floor ticket. I want no part of that. I always get a lower tier seat and you are right, you see so much more. You have a wider perspective of the whole show, then right up close. Sure, a floor or pit ticket may get you a chance to see her up close enough that she may drop sweat on you, but to me it restricts you from seeing where she is when performing other parts of the show. Most every tour I've gone of hers, I've always chosen to sit in the lower tiers and was completely satisfied. I only attended two shows with nosebleed tickets and that I didn't particularly enjoy either, but in those cases I had already seen the show a couple times already.
This.
Plus, at 5'4 there is no way I'd ever do floor seats unless I was front row lol.
I was 19th row floor at the DWT in Detroit and although I had a blast, I could barely see a damn thing.

Got 2 Detroit tickets! Lower bowl, 3rd row for $205 per ticket. I'm pumped!
I was in que for about 3 minutes, not too bad.
Oddly, when I saw her in Detroit for the Rebel Heart tour, I was in a similar area at Joe Louis arena, and think I paid a lot more.
THANK YOU for those who donated their Icon lifetime legacy code.
