Not for me. Yes, I know why fans think that Like A Prayer is the one, and please don't misunderstand me, I love the song (especially the 7’’ version and the 7’’ dance version). But in my opinion she has at least twenty better songs. Anyway I don’t want to debate about "Like A Prayer" because it’s a lost battle.

I have to make a confession. I’ve had the album since 1987 and I’ve only played the four Madonna songs, never the rest (except for ‘El Coco Loco’ out of curiosity).

I totally agree with you. Spotlight and Where's The Party would be the perfect representation of "You Can Dance".

You are right. In my opinion, it belongs to the single trilogy “Express Yourself”-“Keep It Together”-“Vogue”. Shep Pettibone did three singles with the same house sound. And with the success of Vogue, they decided to include it in “I’m Breathless”. But as I said before, the change of the intro works perfectly after “I’m Following You” (but it is still out of context).

Oh, please. Stop with the unnecessary "remasters". I'm Breathless doesn't need any remaster. Only LAP (lack of bass) and ROL (lack of treble) need a remaster.

But the speed of the Maxi-Single is more close to the streaming file than the original track. Maybe this is a case where the 7'' Version is just a speeded up version. I have many 7’’ with album versions but the speed is really faster than the original album track.

The "remaster" of Gambler (and Everybody) is atrocious. Too much distortion because the dynamic range is too compressed. Only Lucky Star has a good "remaster".

It's a Masterpiece and sadly underrated. (cheap?, CHEAP????) I even love the hated tracks (I'm going Bananas, Cry Baby). My only complaint is Vogue. It's a fantastic ending for the album (because the song is too good and the intro flows perfectly after "I'm Following You") but it doesn't belong to the "I'm Breathless" era.

Me too. In my opinion, it’s a classic Madonna song and better than a couple of tracks included on The First Album.

I love it. I love Everybody (YCD version) but I never liked the album version. Ain’t No Big Deal would have been a better first single.

Because they can’t. Do you think that the transfers from Film to NTSC video in the 80s or 90s have the same quality as a 2005 video when all the transfers were made digitally with lossless quality? At this moment, AI works fine, but it can’t perform miracles.
