I completely agree with you. It was incredible at the time. She was acknowledging older songs in the AL promo tours too, so I don't think it was a rescue stratergy for AL. Reinvention was just the first time she fully embraced her body of work in my opinion and it was amazing as a fan. I think artisically it was probably a natural progression following the video montages that were used in Music performances and the reaction at DWT to holiday. I disagree with the phrase damage control as her career is always changing and reflecting. My point here was that Erotica was not subjected to 'damage control'. If anything the follow up single I'll Remember and the Bedtime Stories was a reaction to Erotica. Not the single choices from Erotica nor the tour content of Girlie Show.

I don't think Erotica was subjected to 'damage control' ... The only time I think in Madonna's whole career I think you could feel an element of damage control was the Reinvention Tour. It was a total surprise when she pulled out Vogue etc. At the time even though you wished for those songs to be performed you some how never believed she would play them again. She played her Ace card... Like she will do on Saturday.

Incredible - So nice to hear it all again. The critics on here are harsh. If you would have told me 20 years ago that when I am 40 I would be awaiting a new Madonna album and tour film, I would never have imagined the creative output she still has. We are so lucky she keeps going and has a desire and creative drive far beyond what is expected or required. I remember being overcome wirth emotion during this show when she performed Frozen and Come Alive. Grateful to her for continuing to fight and move forward and grateful for the experiences, concepts, things and people she has introduced me to. I was proud to still be sitting in that room. She broadened my mind imeasurably and her message is still there, loud and clear. It makes me sad to see how narrow minded her critics/fans are.

Breathwork / Rescue Me also appears to have been moved on the Apple preview. I thought that set the stage perfectly for Frozen, it will be interesting to see the revised running order in the film.

For me the show delivered three knock out punches... Rescue me, Frozen and then Come Alive. I was floored and very emotional by the middle of Come Alive! Amazing....

Kylie's album is fun and I have been a fan from the beginning, but there is a point where you think can a 50+ year old woman really have nothing to say/share through her music. I've said it a few times when listening to Disco.... Madonna would get absolutely slated if she put out that album. The press would not take it from Madonna.

She should 100% issue new versions in the Portuguese style played before the Madame X shows and release them alongside the tour film.

Just looking at my book and realised Madonna is using a Corona ? At least she is wearing gloves...

It's happened in the past with the Music album and would introduce the Madame X album to more people. I think this would be a far more creative way of doing a Greatest Hits and a great PR move at this stage.

I think she should re-release Madame X and add a separate disc of the Fado versions of Like a Virgin, Secret, Don't Tell Me, Human Nature etc. That were played during the documentary and at the beginning of the shows. These would be amazing and avoid the Orchestral Album that others make.
