I'm personally thrilled with the show, it's as close to a dream setlist as I think I'm ever going to get. I ended up buying a ticket for one of the Brooklyn dates in December because I just can't wait for my MSG date in January.

Can we please not turn this into an Israel/Palestine thread. I've had multiple episodes of tears this week regarding the current situation, I don't want it ruining the Celebration Tour experience by casting a sad shadow... I appreciate the two will likely mix at some point, but I don't think we need in depth discussion here, it's literally everywhere else.

Also … The Beast Withins third outing on tour while actual singles left floundering.

I have no worries about Bob. I’ve watched Bob since the very beginning of their career. It makes perfect sense to me why Madonna chose them. Super wickedly smart and hard working. I’m excited.

I have to say, American Life is the rare record without a single skippable track for me.  Confessions (otherwise PERFECT) has PUSH. (Which always has me push the skip button.) EROTICA has several skippable tracks.  (WHERE LIFE BEGINS is the only one I can name off the top of my head. None of them even exist in my iTunes anymore.)  Like a Prayer for all its HIGHS has some real lows. LOVE SONG. (Madonna and Prince! What’s not to like? Turns out — PLENTY, sadly.) Oh, and SPANISH EYES which is just … eh… so not my thing.
But American Life is a listen all the way through record.  Even with a flawed title track —- her opening rage is pretty damn catchy.  Madame X is pretty much skip free in my book, too.

Madonna knows that if she's gonna play that remix ONLY, people are gonna riot (not me since I love it 😏)... So I think it's safe to expect the best of both worlds!

It’s common these days for pop acts to have no band. And that’s how Madonna started live shows back in the day, with deconstructed multi-tracks. This is not the first time she performed live to deconstructed multi-tracks. First time in a world tour yes.

I heard rehearsals today. She's doing a song that fans will love from an album released between 1983 and 2012. Guess...

There's a lot I can forgive her for, but not singing Hung Up in its original form since 2006 would be an absolute blasphemy. She simply NEEDS to do the album version! 

I don’t think an artist like Madonna should EVER do covers on her tours. Her discography is versatile and successful enough to fill up a setlist. It’s ALWAYS a waste ofbyime and space if she does cover songs.
That said, I think all of these covers will be incorporated into other songs.

Don't be surprised if she's not singing your favorite top 10 hit but a non-single takes its place instead.

I think exactly like you. It's a weird choice for an opener. People can tell me every insiders and reliable sources of the world have said it's the opener it doesn't change the fact i can't imagine that song being the opener.

At the same time, while there is no proof that NRM will open the show, it's easily assumed it could be included on tour.  But as an opening?  Hmm?  Unless it's included as part of an opening interlude, I'll be shocked if it's the actual opening song.  I would think something more iconic or classic would start the show.
