  1. WHAT!?! Are you F-ing joking me? Why would they do this?
  2. I agree that the photography was a bit blurry, especially since I have a promo flat where the quality is much better. I'm guessing the original negative wasn't used to produce these new vinyls. Also, the lyric sheet is indeed included and if you weren't able to tell, the main packaging is gatefold. When opened, it just looks like the cd artwork, where it is blue on one side and grey on the other (never understood that - shouldn't it be pink on the other side?), just says "Bedtime Stories"
  3. Was it sold from Amazon or fulfilled by Amazon. I was unable to find it actually sold by Amazon. 3rd parties can still sell items and have Amazon fulfill the order, which also let's you use Prime.
  4. I'm upset that Bedtime Stories cover is the wrong way. I was expecting it to be of the the original release. Even though there was no US vinyl release, the cd and cassette were both released "upside down." It isn't upside down though. Her head is laying at the foot of the bed and the picture was taken from the photographer standing at the foot of the bed. Just because some can't understand orientation, doesn't mean you compromise the integrity of the photographer's intention. Just lame.
  5. Okay. I see. So, same stereo mix on dvd as on vhs and laserdisc. Just wasn't sure if I was missing out on something. I haven't watched it in awhile. I think I usually use the stereo mix on concert dvds anyway. Just sounds right.
  6. So, the VHS has a different mix? I wonder if the laserdisc does as well.
  7. Express Yourself original video version (Shep mix). That video and remix is what turned me into a fan. Nothing can top that for me, even an iconic song like Vogue.
  8. So, was watching BAT Japan today and never noticed that Luis Conte is playing the tap dancing part of NIFY, on whatever percussion instrument he has 😲. AMAZING!
  9. Don't forget the obvious playback on Vogue 😉One way to get laryngitis, is the overuse of your voice. Even in the European shows, she was straining her little heart out. She had the same type of vocal style in WTG tour as well. I mean, I loved it, but her vocal style changed from tour to tour between LAV, WTG, BAT, GSM, and DWT.I want to get back to the former bands. What are they all up to now? I know I've seen Paul Pesco as the guitar player for the house band of Daryl Hall, on that show, Live From Daryl's House.
  10. Yes. I think 36 dancers, instead of 38, would still work fine 😆
  11. Part of that though is cause there is still playback, even if under the mix. Plus, with soundboard recordings, you aren't necessarily hearing what the audience hears, cause through the soundboard recording, that vocal channel could be turned up.What has really annoyed me is the overuse of autotune. I'd rather have the raw voice, even with flaws. BAT sounded like shit and she strained a lot to hit notes, but I loved that aspect of it, cause she had a lot of energy and it frustrated her (especially when she couldn't hear herself), which made her performance more intense. But her voice also crapped out on her, so maybe straining wasn't the best thing ☹.I'm also annoyed with the baby/Britney singing. You hear something like "Beautiful Stranger" or "Ray of Light," where her voice sounds like it is in the perfect range for her, but then we get a song like "Bitch, I'm Madonna" and I'm like, "who is this?" Love the song, but just don't get it.Gotta still love her though. She'll continue to make great music and put on a great show.
  12. Luis Conte - Without him, the music literally has no rhythm. On BAT, all the strings were done on the keyboard or triggered samples. I'm glad to hear everyone saying The Girlie Show band - I have always thought that. That band was so funky and that bass player? - OMG (I just refer to him as Victor Baby), brought so much life. Remember how funky he made "Little Star" sound on Oprah? DWT was the start of the downfall of real music on tours. Yeah, some backing tracks and samples were triggered in previous concerts, but it was underneath the real music. Now all the backing tracks and samples are over the real music. Disheartening to say the least, even though the show is still incredible and enjoyable, but I miss the energy of the real musicians. I will say though, that I think some real drumming came back during SS tour, even though I don't like that tour. 2nd place would go backwards from GS. So, in order (#1 being the best) Girlie Show Band Blond Ambition Band Who's That Girl Band Virgin Tour Band On a related note, I think her voice was best for Virgin tour. I loved the raw soul her voice had then.
  13. Okay, so apparently Britta Phillips and Dean Wareham didn't like the comment someone left or my response to it, so they deleted both comments. Loser-ish move on their part. I'll paraphrase: Someone left a comment that said something to the effect of "Wow! This is such a great song. After hearing this, I need to re-evaluate my songwriting abilities" to which I replied "This is an interesting cover, but if you need to re-evaluate your songwriting, then you need to listen to more Madonna" and then explained where he could find the original version of the song. So, I guess Britta Phillips and Dean Wareham don't want people to know this is a cover and possibly trying to pass this off as their own. Bee-T-Dubs: When I said it is an interesting cover, It was just a really nice way of saying it sucks.
