  1. I also think seeing so many people enjoy and react to singles she herself probably labeled "flops" made her very happy and confident. I think she has always loved Nothing Really Matters but never felt comfortable enough to sing it. Finally getting to see Bad Girl on tour was another shocker for me. With all the things that could be improved, there is so much about this tour that makes me incredibly happy and satisfied.
  2. The Take A Bow backdrop is definitely an improvement from the rather boring and odd Frozen backdrop (paired with Rain).
  3. I’m still a bit bummed that she cut Oh Father and didn’t add it back in. I was so excited for it when it was announced.
  4. If anything, it’s time to bring out I'll Remember or The Power Of Good-Bye.
  5. I think it was Rain. We've gotten the Edit Two of Fever on that release.
  6. Not gonna lie... I would love that too but that's mainly because I'm a bit of a control freak!
  7. I prefer the US one 👀 I don’t like the fact that they used an image that was already two years old for a single in 1994. She also didn’t look that way anymore. The US cover was more in line with what her style was at that time. Personally, I think the best option would have been one of these images: https://mega.nz/folder/qFgj1IxQ#cZavFyX4uUkXjYSG6CJV-w These pictures are all stunning, perfectly capture the vibe of the song and were shot in early February. That means there would have been enough time to use these for the single.
  8. It hasn’t leaked or ever been commercially released. It’s probably the version used for the VMA performance in 1993. I agree. I‘m actually quite shocked Playground went to #1. It’s rather forgettable in my eyes. I dislike how anti-climactic the chorus ends. You kinda expect more to come at the end of the "and why do they always say…" line but instead it goes back to the vibe from before and kinda leaves you hanging in the air. I don’t think this is a controversial opinion. I'll Remember is more accessible and has a catchier melody. The song structure is also less complex. Not necessarily. They might go with whatever is easier to find.
  9. I remember people thought Vulgar was gonna be the bigger hit. 🤭🤭🤭
  10. I think that message gets lost in translation cause she probably had to tone it down quite drastically, so it could still apply to the movie. So, overall it appears to be more about looking back at your youth and the things you used to enjoy that have come to pass. Overall, it seems she wasn’t satisfied with the songs she wrote about her friends (First There's A Kiss & TUTBMP) until she finished In This Life. I mean she even decided to perform the latter over Bad Girl and the US #1 single TUTBMP on the Girlie Show and has even used a snippet on her current tour.
  11. Playground was the only one for A League Of Their Own and it was pretty rushed from what I remember. It also appeared on an early tracklist draft of Erotica when it was still called "Girlie Show". I think the song was never one of her favorites. She was clearly in a very different mood when she worked on it because she was already very immersed in the Erotica project at that time. TUTBMP felt like an assignment song to her. I'll Remember was a gift to her friend Alex Keshishian. Probably also the only song written for the movie but it was initially a Pat Leonard reject that she adopted and rewrote for the movie. It was possibly the first song Madonna wrote with the intention of softening her image after Erotica. It didn't really fit her lifestyle or overall vibe at that time but it was a bit of a necessity and opportunity for her I believe. It definitely worked for her. It's one of her most successful and critically acclaimed songs in the US.
  12. I would be but I‘m not expecting them to fix it this year. Thankfully we have all the versions from digital source already. I do. It’s included in my Oh Father single thread. It’s taken from the German I'll Remember single (which I own).
  13. The original setlist had an entire section along with two or three more songs in it.
  14. People really need to get over this terribly dated version of that song. It was off-key and flat and didn’t match the album. Besides, why would she perform a demo of a song that she clearly didn’t like as much?
  15. I left out some of the singles that I personally don’t see coming soon.
  16. Because they didn’t listen to check if they were different. 💀💀💀
  17. That would be entirely stupid because the version on that release is the one that is already on streaming. Besides, that was pretty much a UK/EU exclusive release.
  18. Of course it's coming. Why shouldn't it? Maybe not this year but rather next year cause of the 40th anniversary. Why shouldn't we be getting it? There are two official versions of Crazy For You that were released with the original single: 7" Edit (so far only available on vinyl) Full Length LP Version (only available on the Vision Quest OST and the La Isla Bonita Remix EP from Japan) Then there's the TIC Version that has even infested the streaming version of Something To Remember. That version can rot in hell. The 1995 Edit from Something To Remember is a fade of the LP Version (like the single version but a bit longer). It's not on streaming yet. My guess is that they will either keep it as a two track single or add any of the following as b-side: Crazy For You - Instrumental Burning Up - Original Album Version (aka. Remix) (If ITG ends up being the B-side to Angel) Everybody - Original Album Version (If there is no separate ITG single) Dress You Up - Remix (Promo Only) Borderline - Edit (7" Version) Borderline - Remix (From It's That Girl) Warning Signs (since the Vision Quest OST and its songs won't be part of the re-issue campaign)
  19. The original 7" Fade is more likely than the TIC edit to be honest.
