  1. I am so 'Sickick' of these Frozen remixes .
  2. It's a very cool project and I wish we had the resources to fine tune the code and 'feed' the AI all of the M pellas and parts that are out there so it could build better results. This tool would be invaluable to bring back things like cassette rips of demos and give them a new lease of life. This is only the beginning for these types of technology.
  3. I guess what she's trying to say is that the overall narrative keeps telling her that there's no problem with gun control and that everything is OK. There doesn't need to be change. People just keep telling her she's 'insane' for thinking that there's a pressing need for immediate change or any change at all. She says each 'new birth' reassures her that this isn't the case (whatever 'each new birth' is? a discussion, a reinvention, a thought process?) before she goes into a sort of soliloquy - cementing the fact that she is one with her thoughts, which give her the chance of 'a birth each new' (a new perspective, a different perspective, a perspective that isn't considered one with the 'people'). The 'dope' she doesn't smoke is more than likely the belief of a dangerous majority that gun control doesn't need fixing. Her own independent opinion helps her to see that there is danger with everyone thinking that there isn't and/or ignoring it blatantly. That's my take on it anyway. Always interesting to see what others think too.
  4. I'm afraid in the UK it'll be more than just 'the fear' of a second wave and more like anticipating when it'll happen. Judging by these protests and reports from crowds at beaches during the good weather, it's not looking good. That's not saying anything against the cause of these protests, the virus doesn't care how you feel or what colour you are - once it has the opportunity to transmit, it will. More chances to mutate, more chances to evade vaccination efforts, more chances to kill. Seems like the whole world has become indifferent.
  5. FYI it was a lot cooler than this, she had bright red lips! Back then the album (or at least songs she had recorded) were very far from the finished commercial R&B product. It would have been a huge risk for her but I always wish she went with it - I mean I guess people got a small taste of what was on offer with tracks like 'ANIMAL' and 'INFINITY', it was seriously a much sombre tone.
  6. The photos do exist but only a small set of 'test shots' were completed. I can kind of understand the whole concept around the whole thing but, as is the standard with a lot of Madonna's ventures - the potential for misinterpretation on this one would have been huge. At the time it was nothing to do with any movement, just more to do with her liking the juxtaposition of Black Madonna. Her direction back then (early-mid 2007) went down like a lead balloon, though, and we eventually ended up with the heavily compromised juxtaposition of "hard vs. candy." She had some incredible ideas both musically and lyrically back then, and it's unfortunate that the corporate paper weight was placed on all of them.
  7. The noticeable look changes between venues made the RHT unwatchable for me. I've never sat through the whole thing.
  8. 'It's not her, it's the machine around her' - and, like Grace always does, she lays the true celebrity issue bare in such a simplistic way. Love this woman.
  9. I couldn't agree more. You're not allowed to have a view now that doesn't fit the narrative. God help you too if you try to present a well constructed argument. You'll just get attacked ad hominem. I find admiring the Orwellian settlements from a distance helps.
  10. It's times like this I miss the banterful slum that was MChile. There was no such thing as staff intervention or logical arguments - just hot topics with pages of incredible shit slinging and formidable comebacks. Used to be great fun trawling through it haha.
  11. I loved the MDNA tour, it was truly a great show - but re-watching the dvd and my GOD it's painful to realise again what they did to her vocals. A bit of echo and noise reduction in GGW would have gone a long way. I also realised from watching past tours that [controversial opinion incoming] she has lost quite a bit of the class she once had. I mean look at CT versus RHT and MXT. She's gone from wearing cool, tasteful costumes to looking like a power rangers enemy lol. I always exclude SST as I liked how bonkers this era was. It was frustrating at times but she was still cool.
  12. +1, it's hard to argue with what seems to be a bunch of googleless, hubristic clowns.
  13. Thanks for the translation. Nice interview. I like how matter of fact Mirwais is, definitely a no bullshit kinda guy. That's a rare trait these days in the capitalist excess of the entertainment industry. Sad to hear he went through dark days but I hope he has found some new form of peace and is ready to treat us all to more solo music - event after twenty years 'PRODUCTION' is a serious piece of work.
