That's not true @thegr8forever. In fact, if you look at the majority of the winners, most are not "popular". It's just the show focuses on performances from popular artists and those awards awarded to some of those popular artists. If you look at the winning list, most have not been in the limelight as much. It's like this most years.

the grammys take account popularity but also credibility or at least what looks like credibility. which is why madonna hasnt won more grammys. she isnt taken seriously enough. JMO
