  1. I love how literal she is, “once you put your hand in the flame…,” and then she goes over and puts her hand in the light 🤣
  2. Didn’t I read that she sang Little Star at a show?
  3. This is interesting. As I never could wrap my head around the Beast Within performance. I initially took it as just setting the tone for the time and era the story was taking place. I also like your theory about Crazy For You. I just figured she was talking about god/higher power. The light of God comes down and shines upon her, alluring her to find a new faith and new meaning in life. A segue into her next chapter : her journey to enlightenment.
  4. I don’t think their presence in the show is confusing at all. They make perfect sense. Like a Prayer = she’s questioning her faith in god after the AIDS epidemic. It was an end of an era. So many lives were lost. Artists, musicians, writers. So many creative people. Hung Up = she’s continuing her journey of sexual exploits and living an exuberant indulgent lifestyle. It’s girl on girl action. She’s partying. Drinking. Experimenting. But it leads her down an unhappy path (Bad Girl). There’s also the subject of love with a significant other when analyzing the obsessive/annoyance double meaning of the HU lyrics.
  5. Now youre pushing me to go to the final NYC date
  6. I'm obsessed. Is the tour well received amongst the fans?
  7. they couldnt even put up the better version of Across The Sky!
  8. She plays the role of the "alchemist." The section is about her journey to enlightenment, and eventually empowerment (dont cry for me...). Her first step is to leave all materialistic things behind, by destroying her ego. We see the enneagram at the end of the performance (also seen in The Holy Mountain) This is prefaced earlier at the end of The Beast Within, with the quote from George Gurdjieff, who is responsible for bringing the enneagram symbol to the modern world. The system that Gurdjieff taught is a complex study of psychology, spirituality, and cosmology to help those understand their place in the universe and their objective purpose in life.
  9. When she first appeared and noticed she was referencing The Holy Mountain, i was in fucking awe. One of the coolest performances ever.
  10. Oh that's not what i'm talking about. The closing was absolutely amazing. Bitch Im Madonna is the perfect closing. That should have been the ending to the Rebel Heart Tour.
  11. My only complaint was that it felt short. We should have gotten 2 more songs at the end.
  12. Yupp. Same here. I stayed away from as much spoilers as possible. The little bits I did see in terms of photos and descriptions, did not excite me. Written on paper, you’d think the show wouldn’t work. A scripted 80s section with witty banter. Erotica as a boxing match. Singing a song about one night stands and getting drunk while your teenage daughter plays the piano. Express Yourself acoustic. Hanging from a flying box during ROL. Laying on top of a box during bedtime story while that crazy animated NFT video plays. Bitch I’m Madonna in that crazy corset and veil outfit. And Bob The Drag Queen as the emcee but ya know what. IT FUCKING WORKS. And it’s all FUCKING FABULOUS. I loved the outfits. I loved the staging. The visuals was surprisingly STUNNING. The symbolism, the compositions, the hair, the body, the face, the choreo. It was just perfect. It didn’t even feel like a cheesy over indulgent Jamie Ming mess. It was all Madonna all the time.
  13. For some reason I thought it took place earlier in the show, so I was like, “oh okay, this makes sense.” But second time around I noticed just how long it went on for lol i was also very very high my first night
  14. Is that what she said? Couldn’t hear any of the dialogue in any of the background vids tbqh…
  15. After seeing the show twice now, I found the MJ interlude a bit unneeded? It ran too long, and I feel like its position in the show is too late. It should have been earlier and not tacked in at the end.
