I never understood that criticism, in my side of the world, R'n'B music and hip hop or whatever wasn't popular AT ALL. Hard Candy didn't sound like anything that was popular at the time, and it didn't sound like anything Madonna had ever done before either. My only disappointment with Hard Candy was that she was following the same formula of mediocrity she came up with on Confessions, latching on to something to get on the charts at any cost. Madonna was on an unbelievable artist journey that began with Ray Of Light and continued up until Confessions destroyed it all. By contrast, Kylie Minogue did Confessions On A Dance Floor 5 years before Madonna did. She was extremely behind with Confessions, all the Hard Candy criticism should be thrown at Confessions, that's the true shit album.

I'm sure you think Confessions is a paragon of artistry?? lol. That is one desperate album and she looked like a cheap aged prostitute with those leotards and the saggy face, by contrast she looked divine during Hard Candy.

Do not dismiss Amazing. Music is a masterpiece, it's 10 solid silver bullets, including Amazing. It's a beautiful song. I can't choose a favorite because every single song is perfect, but her vocals on the acoustic part of Nobody's Perfect is the stuff dreams are made of.

Why is she mismanaged though? Is her management forcing her to release absolute garbage like Ghosttown?? Where is the mismanagement?

Incidentally, did anyone hunt down Robert Piguet's Fracas, which was the inspiration for TOD and it is the perfume she actually wears? It's amazing, I wear it everyday now.

I don't like Jawbreaker, that just sends horrific images to my mind. Hard Candy was a perfect title. Out of all the 4 albums of mediocrity she released post American Life, Hard Candy remains the best and least mediocre. When does this thing about Candy Shop being a single comes from? I've never heard her say she wanted that to be a single. Do you really think that at this point she's not entirely in control of her career?? All of her singles since Hung Up have been chosen for her with one goal in mind, to get on the charts. She has failed miserably but that's the point. She continues to perform Candy Shop because it's a good song.

Oh and Ghosttown isn't her trying to sound like Miley or Taylor Swift?? Same thing.

Why?? let me guess, your favorite is that pathetic weepy whiny Joan Of Arc, lol. Bitch I'm Madonna is probably the only good song in Rebel Heart. The Diplo mix is gold.
