  1. Ray of Light is the era that I can remember from start to finish and anticipated before anything was released.
  2. Bedtime Story. Drowned World is a very close second. Then it becomes difficult...
  3. I think that time has come and gone, unfortunately. I always hoped for an epic track like No More Tears.
  4. This is a terrible experience trying to pick ONE of these songs as a favorite. I ended up with Express Yourself, though it was a rough one.
  5. And every time a download would stop, it was anywhere between 95-98% complete. By the time you could get connected again you'd reach a bandwidth quota for the day. Infuriating. I remember calling a few people I knew on our ISP and asking if they'd mind not being on the internet for about 45 minutes while a 3.5mb RealAudio file attempted to download. Most of the time it would take days and countless attempts for one three minute song to successfully complete. MP3s were a different nightmare. Quality be damned, there wasn't time for that....
  6. https://youtu.be/jJOVIKTGDKc I died. I had a friend with DSL, which was very rare around our area at the time, she downloaded it for kicks expecting it to be some joke or just random musings, but neither of us expected this. It was a genius moment, really.
  7. I can’t believe I’m in the majority for once. Taste.
  8. Just having additional versions is a plus for me. I don’t think I could pick favorites between the versions. It’s too difficult for me.
  9. Yup. All of this. I’m loving it. Don’t get me wrong, the end product is one of my favorite albums of all time. But there’s something else on these demos.
  10. Agreed. She’s not stupid. I could definitely see her changing the tempo and sound slightly to fit the rest of the performance and to leave a little to the imagination for release. From the clip, I’m intrigued, but it’s hard to judge if I like something until I’ve heard the full song. I’ve loved clips and been underwhelmed when I’ve heard the full track. I’m looking at you, Love Spent.
  11. There are a number of other artists and Madonna albums that would be nicely showcased in box sets like that. I'm beginning to lose hope that we'll ever see anything like this.
  12. That was way too difficult. I had to go with Die Another Day. Still one of my favorite videos of hers and I remember hearing it on the radio constantly when it was out. Time Stood Still, Nobody Knows Me, Frozen, I'll Remember and Vogue are very close contenders for me as well.
