I'm sure a lot of it is due to the lack of interest in those areas. There are some states in middle America I can see she not selling many tickets either. Nashville is pushing it for her as well. It's no surprised she didn't reschedule that date for this tour. But she's played there before, so who knows? It's just this time around; it's best she probably didn't. The U.S. is such in a funky place right now. Some people will not be too thrilled that she's celebrating drag queens in her show, let alone expressing LGBTQ+ rights.
I’m sure it’ll become a talking point of some wild rouge evangelical in a state legislature or in Congress itself. They’re grasping for anything nowadays that gives them any power.

Yeah, being "confident" and being real is two different things. The U.S. is a mix bag of people. Madonna is hardly on the tip of American's tongues. You and I can "love this tour" but there will be regions who will overwhelmingly think differently.
Yeah but you can see she pretty bypasses certain regions of the US. Outside Atlanta she pretty avoids the Deep South where I am… but I don’t blame her. Which I wish she’d atleast stop into Charlotte. But oh well.

I'm listening to it rn. Tracy Young's work here is very cool indeed.
Indeed! Not that I don’t like her work, but usually there’s other mixes stronger or more interesting. I struggle with Music and Don’t Me usually but hers for Don’t Tell Me actually breaks up some monotony in the mixes. Love it.

Okay Tracy Young, I been ignoring here Don’t Tell Me mix for years for no reason because I actually like it the most of the bunch next to the Vission remix.

You’d think Stuart would’ve brought Mother and Father down a couple notches to give her a better handle on the ending parts. But maybe even he can’t override her ego or maybe he has become more yes man-ish. Regardless, I only noticed the thinness in voice around when she mentioned not feeling her best. It is a season change going on so maybe she’s just powering through best she can.

It's lovely to have the single edit of You'll See available on streaming. Probably should've been on Celebration honestly.
Definitely were a lot glaring omissions but back then it probably made sense to put everything on Celebration so people had to still buy some of the back catalogue or new albums.

Is Live to Tell on this release tacked on from Blond Ambition?

Stuey does know how to dodge those questions 🙂
I know interviewer had to be like “oh okay well what about…” and get another ambiguous answer. Very frustrating to read. That’s not a dig at him but clearly he was coached not to give them any ammo to use against her. Which is excellent. Warner probably wants this as clean as possible.

My show won’t be until April so I leave this here because I’m bound to love some other parts after being in person:
1. Nothing Really Matters
2. Open Your Heart (so free and so bouncy)
3. Holiday (the ending made my wanna cry just from the vids we have seen)
4. Vogue (shocker right?)
5. Don’t Tell Me (dancing on point)

I hope the dvd is done at the end of the run cause by then you know the show will be perfectly done in all the senses, I just hope she keeps this vocal level and her good health! So far all the reviews were quite amazing.
I think that’s always the concern. Rebel Heart would’ve been best recorded before the Rocco mess. MDNA best recorded before she was beyond over the tour. I think somewhere in the middle and let them film any additional segments she may add later.

*I tried placing Rescue Me in afterwards so it really could’ve been placed anywhere to add closure or slow stuff down in a powerful way. -
Are we posting our personal reimagining of the set list? I spent all night on mine lol

I looked back for a minute and... the hell is going on? XD
Idk, I’m quite lost as well hahahaha.

I saw in a posting from DrownedWorld that 36 out of 45 songs were performed last night. Those additional 9 songs being skipped for time might be what caused the flow interruption.

Honestly, seeing the body suit, I wish she used it longer or more of them. I think it’s the best look.

I noticed Beyoncé started her tour of kinda low energy in Europe and then turned up when she got to the US. After everything that’s happened, this tour might need time to warm up.
I can’t wait to see her in April. But I can tell this tour will be best known for NRM, Don’t Tell Me, and some of the ballads.

Die another day is not considered an American life single
Yeah, it’s like saying American Pie was a Music single just because it was tacked into Music the album.
But at the same time, slapping it into the middle of the album instead of at the end for a deluxe version etc doesn’t help that perception.

Kylie has certainly been making some excellent dance pop confections of late, but she is nothing like Madonna. Her songs are devoid of meaning outside of the same tried and true romanticism and sexualized courtship narrative. I have no problem with that and love this new project, but I think Madonna has never really tried to pander to her public in the way that Kylie has. I think if Madonna tried to make something as accessible and artistically safe as Padam and Tension, it wouldn’t gain any traction at this stage in her career. Kylie comes with absolutely no baggage. She is as safe as they come!
That’s true. Kylie typically plays safe. Madonna hasn’t made a safe album since Confessions. Although a safe album now would a nice refresher from M but at the same time, that wouldn’t be the Madonna we know to begin with. We are in difficult times and her commentary on those issues is gonna show up in the work. I even expect there to be political commentary in the tour, especially in the US dates. We already saw that with Papa Don’t Preach on MXT.

Not gonna lie, I love the colors of how the artwork came out.

Proof she looks good when she wants to and when it’s truly important to her.

Finally back from Tampa. Had to accommodate the boyfriend by going to his horror convention since he came to Madonna with me. Both were awesome no complaints. I missed the Tampa discussion. Was anyone else here that went to that one? The vocals were a struggle but she flexed her bicep at one point and I was like “damn, that’s impressive Madame”.
