  1. Maybe we can get songs like BDSM, I Don’t Artist I Disturb, Goddess Control, and Golden Shower!
  2. Honestly, I love no matter what, an older song is gonna get an update in sound or arrangements. Sometimes it’s extreme and others not much. Some artists don’t make any changes to any songs over time. And then I look at Madonna who has revamped her old songs over and over. I still hate Papa Don’t Preach from MXT not being included. She sounded beautiful and I loved the arrangement so much.
  3. You must’ve heard it in your fuzzy dreams hahahah
  4. I doubt she would pay Mike Dean to spruce up every mix or remix or version. M has to make sure she has money left over for FaceTune subscription haha jk
  5. I like that Sickick is aware of her fan base, haha. Like, hopefully he knows how to balance what M demands and also with what would work for her fans base as much as general public
  6. Was totally fine. So not sure what you mean. It was used like in God Control. Is it noticeable else where? And if she used it only in SEX and Best Night, I hardly see it as devaluing if not as a tool to change vocal delivery. Do I understand why she would want to instead of focusing just on natural delivery of the vocals? No, but it hardly ruins the works they were used in.
  7. It’s the pink camouflage for me. Hopefully it’s not a reflection of her mood. #AmericanPink #MadamePink but I do hope the album will feature her pink hair. If this is for a new album.
  8. I need submit my ranking, but the last half of Disk 2 is rough to get through. Disk 3? The Confession remixes are okay. But the album versions are typically superior unfortunately. Get Together was last minute so I understand why the remixes weren’t phenomenal. There were better alternatives for Hard Candy’s but what was chose wasn’t bad either. Medellin is the only I skip the most. And Disk 1 I listen the least to. I’m a Zoomer so I’m more passionate with the later works. But Disk 1 is still good!
  9. The last decade definitely wasnt kind to her in the charts department, but there are few artists to have an early 80s hit like Holiday and also a late 00s hit like 4 Minutes. And in some countries that last hit wasn’t 4 Minutes like in the US. She’s a pop artist still having an output when Madame X could have been the farewell. But we know it isn’t. But in the meantime, let’s live on the bright side! Take A Day! Get some Champaign Rose! Get Hung Up on whatever feature Madonna has brought on board. It always an opportunity to explore a new artist when she does. I usually find something I like in their catalogues. And if you can’t, then that’s okay. No need to slander or grab pitchforks. She’s still got some more to give us. There’s reissues for those wanting to reminisce about better days and there’s remixes and maybe a new album eventually for us who like the current sounds and trends.
  10. Whoever said we shouldn’t try “intellectualizing” bad art has perhaps not taken art or poetry studies. You can read into art as much or as little as you’d like but that does not mean we should not ever discuss art critically and constructively. Which means discussing the art as “why did the artist choose to use this color versus another” or “this medium of art is an odd choice because the artist typically uses this instead of that”. It would be a disservice to not analyze or breakdown a piece of art even it seems shallow or amateurish or “bad”. But that doesn’t mean everyone has to. But if you’re going to, use more than “it’s trashy because pussy licking is not in my 2022 bingo card”. There’s some pretty out there art that make me kinda queasy but the new Hung Up video ain’t it. I kinda laughed when I saw the Jesus in the light bulb. Classic M if you were to ask me.
  11. I disagree that we can just decide a music video is not art. There are paintings that are literally a red square in museums. Art takes on so many forms. Music videos are medium of art regardless of how an individual feels. Now, whether it is good or bad art is always a valid questions for the individual, group, and general populace. In a Latin Market, this video might be considered good but in a French market not so tasteful. All valid based upon cultural predispositions. I suppose our point on here is that our opinion on the art should be respected, but often our opinions are expressed aggressively. Some of us will like a lot of what she does and that is okay. Doesn’t mean there’s something wrong with us just as much as there’s nothing wrong with some not liking everything she does. We like what we like.
  12. Dear Father in better quality would be awesome!!! That’s the demo I loved the most!!!
  13. Literally was gonna post this hahaha! Dita came to divide and conquer!
  14. Her best work was solo was also her at her peak and at a time where features weren’t as common and for specific causes. With a career as long as hers, bringing you hers artist onto tracks helps bring her further from her peers in the past. Everyone has their opinions on the features but I feel it keeps her catalogue fresh and puts her before people that aren’t interested in her 80s and 90s work while still using it to her advantage like Material Gworlllll and Frozen mixes.
  15. Loved it! She looked good, legs for days! Dita’s spin on Esther’s Hung Up!
  16. Yeah, especially in the South. We don’t have much to work with around here hahahaha
  17. I’m certain there was a tight budget for Madame X. I imagine Warner is backing this. We haven’t had such output since Warner. FG was a miss for a video and so was IDSIF. But it is what it is.
  18. I think up until Give It 2 Me, Warner cared greatly as she was always going bring in the cash. So while she’s always been a part of thing, Warner held a lot of control. Once the contract between her and them wrapped up, everything has had to go through her mostly and M’s ego and personality is overwhelming when left unchecked. And Guy doesn’t challenge her much. Interscope challenged her one time with how she wanted to do a double album for RH and that’s about it. That’s not to say I don’t love her work still. I’m living for it all. I may not in love with everything but I still give it a shot. But even now, I bet Warner is having to answer M more than the other way around or hoping she doesn’t care enough to deal with them.
  19. And it’s important to remember that she is versatile in the manner she is gonna shift sounds and they may not sync with what we liked about her last or decade ago. I know the mid 90s are always killer to get through for me. Sooooo many ballads. But that’s what some people loved from her. But you know, death to the patriarchy!
  20. I personally blasted this remix all the way down the Grand Strand here in Myrtle Beach SC. Very proud of this mix. The new spoken parts don’t clash with old vocals. The beat is infectious. Love it all!
  21. Arca commented on her Hung Up post yesterday. Who knows. There’s so much going on.
  22. Lol, not gonna lie, Lola probably has Roxxxy’s personality from that season too jk
  23. She looks so Madonna here. Good angle and light doing what it needs. This 60s vibe is gorgeous!
