  1. Lol! Yes I'm a young adult fan. But I have been a fan for 16 years now and always had assumed that mole was permanent and was never penciled in -- I just thought she embraced her naked mole and proudly showed it off in the 80s and early 90s. I say it's a mystery to me because I wonder what her motives were in "erasing" it around 1992/1993. I hadn't really analyzed the different "sizes" of the mole UNTIL I came to this site and discovered so many details, nuances, and things I hadn't known before and it just keeps blowing me away (and makes me feel stupid for not knowing these already honestly lol). For example upon seeing photos of her in the 70s and comparing different photos of her in the 80s like some members suggested I was surprised to notice there are differences in the size of the mole (beauty mark rather) on various photos. Hence I said "some occasions." I mean how can a nevus look small on one occasion and on another it's like a few millimeters bigger. Hmmm must be my eyes lol... But I do believe NOW that she did pencil it in on different occasions in the 80s. And that video from the ToD perfume launch Q&A just solidified that more. And regarding GREY HAIR for the next era... I actually was fantasizing about that same IDEA about that last month. You know, make an IRONIC statement to show up today's ageist society. I would like that too and it will definitely spin the conversation about M. Yay! Glad we're on the same page on that grey hair idea! Thanks @@Liam
  2. We haven’t had dark hair in eons! Yes please! Think renaissance-esque long flowy and free hair from 1998 like above but dyed close to black! Give me dark lady AND darker mole. Lol jk Fighter! [emoji9]
  3. Oh my God she has been huh since the MDNA Tour. Yes praying for a dark haired bossa nova latin jazz singing, samba dancing Madonna for M14! (wishful thinking) [emoji847]
  4. Yes! I think you’re right! And this... So huge lol Compared to this photo from 1986 in which it looks smaller (like her photos from the early 1970s) I think I am now convinced she definitely had “penciled it in†on some occasions — aka accentuation. Wow! It was always a big mystery to me but now I think I got it debunked. Thank you guys! Hope we’ll see her with that iconic dot again when she does a “throwback†shoot/video/project that’s tongue-in-cheek to her early years [emoji4]
  5. Love seeing what remains of the mole every now and then on press photos in the 2000s & 2010s But this really had me shooketh and loving when I saw it come back! I felt like I was the only one jumping for joy seeing her mole in a photoshoot back in 2014 lol
  6. THANK YOU FOR SHARING. Hadn't seen it as well! You're amazing
  7. You said it best. *hoping it will make another comeback for M14*
  8. Yup very vague but visible! Goes well with the look for the video. Why she covered it... I will never know. It makes her her lol.
  9. Yup I always knew she had it. Never knew she accentuated it by using a pencil like she said on that video from the TOD Perfume q&a. Wow. I always knew during the Erotica area she "eliminated" kind of just in time for her 10th Anniversary in music back then I guess. Thanks!
  10. Wow that clarifies everything! Oh I miss that mole! And I’m glad to know it can still make a reappearance! Mil gracias a tí [emoji1360]
  11. This photo has that normal small mole that anyone could have. But then here... it’s clear that it’s bigger aka accentuated. Hmmm wow! Thanks @@me1981!

  13. That's the same exact thing I have led myself to believe for about 15 years now. She still has it for sure. That's why back in 2014 with the stunning Italian Vogue photos and outtakes I was so gagged to see the mole return so... nakedly lol. And it is real no? There's no way that mole was made up or "tattooed on" like what I've read on other websites. I now get what you say that she accentuated it -- on some photos of her from the early 80s the mole really pops out and looks larger in diameter even (maybe just me) and on some photos it looks, well, normal. So perhaps that's when "penciling in" comes into play. Thanks for the insight
  14. I have loved LDLHA since I first heard it on STR. The beautiful rearrangement and redoing of the song grips the ears and the soul. Back then I never knew it was originally on LAV. I love the song so I naturally like both 1984 and 1995 versions. I am not even going to start discussing her vocals in-depth on this particular song because... the vocals in my honest opinion are one of her best on any studio recordings of a song she has done. I mean, any Madonna fan who doesn't like this song must not get her musicality and the depth/layers/complexity/flexibility of her vocals! With this song, I hear torment, languish, and wailing through her strong, tearful vocals -- and mind you she recorded this in 1984 when the public had a "young, girlish, brazen" image of her. This song is nothing short of masterful. And to think she apparently cried towards the end of the song like Nile Rodgers had encouraged her to... Wow. LDLHA stands as one of her most enduring and most soulful ballads ever.
  15. First Madonna Infinity topic! (I saw this was discussed last year on this forum... but let's really delve into it you guys! ) Okay I truly want to get this straight. Madonna's iconic, beautiful, striking above the right upper lip nevus has been part of her "signature" "classic" "old school" look since her career began. While many thought it was painted on or even fabricated/tattooed on, her iconic "beauty mark" has been one of her unique identifiers. I'm actually quite mesmerized by it. However, I noticed the mole started not making its appearance since around after Truth Or Dare (1991 to 1992) and was seemingly completely "erased" during the Erotica era onward. Many speculate she had it laser-removed for cosmetic reasons and many think she simply just started putting heavy makeup over it. Let me add that Madonna seems to also have had another bigger nevus removed from when she was an infant/toddler for possible medical reasons. The removal scar was on her lower right inner cheek and was somewhat visible on some photos/videos in the 80s like in the 1st pic above including this and this In recent eras from COADF until MDNA, I would see the mole very faintly faded when you zoomed in on HQ photos of her in public or by the press. Much to my delight and happiness, the mole made its public appearance again since 1992/1993 during the L'Uomo Italian Vogue magazine photoshoot. I was dying of joy seeing it again. My question is... what truly happened to her iconic mole? Why did she "erase" it? What were her reasons for removing it? Is it still there? Let's see what we can dig up and come to a conclusion with!
  16. The RHT is definitely not Madonna's last tour. Per se. The RHT may be the last tour in which she takes her show all over the world... and that's possible given her (growing) family and her need to perhaps start thinking of her energy, vitality, and health preserved for her personal life and family life more than ever. This is nothing bad at all though as she had mentioned in a recent article from BBC that after decades of doing stadiums, arenas, etc., she feels the need to reinvent pop tours and do ventures along the lines of just doing shows on one venue and/or doing more intimate shows with smaller venues and limited seating capacities where she can directly talk to the audience -- more connection which is amazing (pretty much something like Tears Of A Clown, with or without the comedic concept). So I believe this will be Madonna's next phase in her career: doing toned down shows -- hybrid of 10-12 songs and doing longer monologues in between songs + more audience interaction where it's going to be probably on one or two venues in a given country or city. Amazing if you think about it. What pains me however is with the RHT I definitely saw a lesser energetic, lesser mobile M in terms of movement and choreography and this is all understandable as age comes along. I have been so used to the rigorous, super energetic, athletic Madonna on all of her previous tours... but watching her on the RHT made me realize that she is getting a little older and may need to slow down a tad bit. Yes I know most of us would cry out "Madonna is Madonna -- and will always be youthful!" I agree with that too so much and applaud her exuberance until today... but at times I can't help but think she is also not getting any younger and it naturally makes me sad. More of a reason for the world to appreciate, laud, love, and respect her for she is a LIVING LEGEND. One of, if not, the best in the history of music. So it's possible that the RHT could be her last full on pop show/tour however it could be the start of Madonna's interesting, more human, and intimate phase in her career. And I'm here for that. She will be doing more shows until she is tired. And we all know that "tired" for Madonna means "over her dead body" Long live Madonna and she will def be sticking around for decades to come!
  17. Hi Madonna Infinity fam! Amazing thread about M's live vocals on all tours! I did the same exact topic on MadonnaNation with percentage calculations and in-depth analyses on how much M sang live on each tour after hours of research and the people over there think I was crazy for asserting she sang mostly LIVE on her recent tours based on the research I did. I know certain concert dates may have different technicalities but once you hear the sound boards... I was convinced -- and others over at MadonnaNation still discounted that. Lol oh well! I hope to post that topic as a reply OR just make a new post entirely! Bottom line is... Madonna uses live vocals like A LOT on her tours even on S&ST and RHT! Long live Madonna -- one of the greatest live performance artists in history
